Stop for every thing . love how you stop and explain what you see. Makes it so much more interesting. The moss on the rocks was interesting. Maybe digging up flowers.
I knew the name sounded familiar, then when you mentioned the dynamite explosion I remembered where I knew it from. My great- great uncle was killed in that explosion. He was 21 years old and close in age to my great grandfather at the time. We're from McKean County, so I guess the oil companies were probably recruiting workers up there and took them down to Lancaster. It must have seemed like a good way for a young man to make a nest egg.
drove through there today. my kids like to hike then drive up the rough side of the road.. i live like a mile from there and its a great area with great hiking from pinnacle to houserock to wind cave and safe harbor great area
Wild phlox, Virginia bluebells, box turtle, songbirds, quarry, Columbines, foundation stones, saw, covered metal detecting digs! You are observant as them!
At the old railroad bridge stonework where the stone column in the stream is located there was a pipe crossing here. In the winter you can see the end of the pipe sticking out of the bank.
concave and red eyes , yes he,s a boy , you forgot to mention the skunk cabbage . wow i have never seen wild columbine ! maybe foundation for a bridge ? hay great video , don,t mind my constructive criticism , love your work .
Did you find the location of the dynamite explosion? I just recently found it. There’s old gravestones and foundations for something on the path to the spot.

No digging at this site or taking any vegetation. This is a nature conservancy site.

Beautiful area!
Been there a bunch of times , cool place , I have heard stories of the dance hall gals at the hotel ! 5 cents for a dance ! !!!! Oh my !
I've seen similar milk houses using a spring for cooling/storing dairy products :) maybe
the cement parts along the road were probably to stop erosion when it rushes down
Liked the turtle and the "flock" flowers
Me too! I like turtles! Phlox are my all time favorite, both wild & in the garden, both creeping & the tall. So fragrant & bloom into the autumn.
Love the history.
Nice area!! I love to visit

Too much of you in the video talking and talking. Not enough historical points.
