Sooo many memories.. I remember getting the demo one day and I begged my dad to my me this. I was hooked until the end. I just picked up a used copy at Gamestop so this will be my second playthrough. :)
I remember my entire classroom talking about FFX back when I was a 6th grader. Even non-Play Station owners know Yun a and Tidus because the Suteki Da Ne gets played on videoke and radio.
Bro it’s crazy I told my uncle about this game and he got it for my birthday and went to toys r us. And got the first copy They had at our local store Legit this and Zelda where my shit until the halo days
i remember seing the blitzball game from the opening CG on a game magazine show on TV and i thought WOW! I became obsessed, played FFVII then FFX. Now i'm a commited FF fan.
funny you should mention that. i played through this came a few times, and recently i played through it again and thought to myself that this game gets better in my eyes each time i play it. not sure why.
This is the trailer that made me want to play the game as soon as i saw Ifrit i knew i had to become a summoner and learn how to summon him and just my luck turns out i could
I feel you.. I was the same. I actually got to Mt. Gagazet and quit playing it because I felt it was too linear. I went back and just finished it a couple days ago and it wasn't that bad at all. Although, I liked FF 9 more than 8.. and I am a fan of 7 but I don't hype it up as everyone else. I do believe it is a legend in gaming because it brought in a lot of non-RPG players into the RPG world due to a clever ad campaign by Sony and Squaresoft.
Obviously you haven't really observed the differences, in FFVII they'll attack on their own whether or not you leave the controller alone. In FFX they've redone it so you could see which monster attacks first and will not attack whenever the A.I. tells it to. so in FFX it is a ACTUAL ATB where every character gets there own turn. and not having to "wait" and yes I know its the same system it's just they've redone to where it's more useful than just to pick attack and magic :p
to ffkiddo: your profile says you're 17. you were too young, probably, to remember when 7 came out. what makes 7 so special to many is nostalgia. i'm 23, and while i didn't play 7 'til 1999, i thought it was good, one of the better FFs, along with 10. i recognize it has faults and a couple of plotholes, but it's still pretty damn good.
@stuvo1977 No freedom? The sphere grid gave you more freedom than almost any other FF game as far as character development went. The storyline was great IMO. There is no world map but it did fine without it. You can always replay old FF games or other RPGs if you really want to wander around a map so badly. @DarthJoshReturns you really deprived yourself of a great, great game.
@seiryu24717 Clouds whole family and village were killes,along side his best freind and it was all done by his hero.Then the girl he loved got killed by his old hero.He has reason to be sad. Squall his clinical depression
its true that Final Fantasy X is better than x-2, but some reasons why i personally love x-2 is 1) b/c im a girl, and its nice to have a female as the main playable character. 2) you get to finish the story and see what happens b/t tidus and yuna. and 3) i like how you get to go to the different places as much as you want, you have to admit that in ffx you didn't get to stay in one place for very long.
Did u see it? Square finally went back to using in-game graphic scenes, even among the FMV sequences. I guess the PS2 killed two birds with one stone for them. No more "bait-and-switch" advertising, and no more "embarrasing" graphics.
i wish final fantasy was still a bit more popular as it was back then. everyone at school now only talks about Grand Theft Auto and Skate. It's so stupid. I want at least someone at school to talk about FF games. (10's my top favorite. i love 7, but i grew up playing 10. when 7 came out, i was like three years old. haha.)
@seiryu24717 It's just simply human emotions... it's not like heros have some kind of superpower that makes them never get sad... heck, I cried during the end of Crisis core (on cloud and zacks behalf) Everyone has a chance at becoming a hero someday, If I became a hero would u upose me because I cry from time to time?
@seiryu24717 thank you thats what i trying to tell my friend Tidus is o diffrent from the main ff heroes he is so positive upbeat no matter what comes his way.
I loved this game as a kid but my stupid mom has forbiden me to play any final fantasy she says that they are evil and I was like 20 hours in the game to.
@seiryu24717 Personally I thought ACC was some serious character derailment, considering that, by the end of the Lifestream Sequence in FFVII, Cloud, though still the shy adorkable type, becomes the stereotypical "save the world" protagonist. Then in the film, he goes back to being a mopey nerd. Though, to be fair, at least his mopiness is justified.
@seiryu24717 I totally agree with you about the emo shit, because it does get to be really annoying (especially with Squall) but, you can't deny that out of all the main male charactesr, Tidus did the most whining and crying. ;)
i'm playing ff13 right now but watching this make me want to stop ff13 to play ff10 again; ff10 is just a masterpiece, nothing can ever beat it. ff13 has really nice graphic but there's nothing for the story and character development; not to mention I'm totally confused about the whole l'cie thing..... can't they come up with some enemy name is that easier for me to follower? ffx was just straightforward; one word "sin"
@CAKE369 i love XIII but its not topping X any day, mainly cause no game ever is gonna top X, ok i mean proboly square will do it eventually but as of right now FFX is the best game to ever exist
@seiryu24717 I hate emo protagonists as much as the next guy, but at least they keep most of their bitching on the inside, and this is beside the point , but I can't even take Tidus seriously as a fighter . Cloud was a super-soldier, Squall was a mercenary, and Zidane was a pirate. when tidus started out, he was just some athlete from a place that didn't even exist.I don't know how he found the power to survived until the final boss and defeat it.
20 years! Long live FFX! I first played it on a demo disc with my sisters when I was 5. I love this game forever
This is a really badass commercial for an excellent game
Sooo many memories.. I remember getting the demo one day and I begged my dad to my me this. I was hooked until the end. I just picked up a used copy at Gamestop so this will be my second playthrough. :)
the first game i ever played on ps2 more than 7 years ago. oh the memories.
Hello from the future.
And got the first copy

Legit this and Zelda where my shit until the halo days

watching this makes me want to replay it
I've done it... I have... be...come a... summon...er
I saw this commercial when i was 11 and at the point when i saw it....i wanted to play it...and i loved the game so much
Heh. I totally remember this ad. Good times.
i love how he says not to believe a word of it at the end. so true
Really good game, possibly my favorite final fantasy game
favorite game of all time. "Squenix" needs to make RPG games like this again instead of that watered down crap their feeding us now.
If only you knew how bad things really are.
@@brendanb2982 I said this 13 years ago and it still applies today 🫠
funny you should mention that. i played through this came a few times, and recently i played through it again and thought to myself that this game gets better in my eyes each time i play it. not sure why.
Damn i remember this one.. this commercial was tied in with Battle Bots on Comedy Central
Squall has his reasons too. He's not just clinically depressed.
20 years today.
And today in north America
@Mynameis708 it doesnt start picking up until about a hour and a half in
Still loving it. 2025
OMFG!!! Am i gonna ever see another epic jrpg like this
You speak the truth. It is the best game ever made.
Lol "Gorgeous and Grand!"
This is the trailer that made me want to play the game as soon as i saw Ifrit i knew i had to become a summoner and learn how to summon him and just my luck turns out i could
Fast forward 20 something year's later FF16 is given me those same vibes!!😅
29 sec commercial worth "X" thousand words
I feel you.. I was the same. I actually got to Mt. Gagazet and quit playing it because I felt it was too linear. I went back and just finished it a couple days ago and it wasn't that bad at all. @LeonMeekis84 The Final Fantasy series went bad after the Squaresoft/Enix merger.
Obviously you haven't really observed the differences, in FFVII they'll attack on their own whether or not you leave the controller alone. very good trailer!
final fantasy X, XII and XIII are the best for me...
i think that ffx is the best game ever, and x-2, i love the storyline and the characters!
Fuck yeah she's done it. LIKE 1,000x + ! >:D
Still my favorite Final Fantasy Game.
@XiahouXiao Well technically, he wasn't a human. He was a memory, and it might have been shaped like that.
i love that game
that is not the one i have seen
@randomdude3824 Yes, that was the part of the game where you controled him, which was almost the entire game :P
yeah. this game has a lot of good memories for me so i am very attached to it, everyone has their reasons for liking a game. 8 is also a good one. ^^
The last good generation of gaming.
Honestly, this era has so much passion and experimental curiousness that is completely watered down and corporate-fied now.
I blame DRM gaming and culture war nonsense.
But having fun with a good game is what its all about!
@stuvo1977 No freedom? The sphere grid gave you more freedom than almost any other FF game as far as character development went. The storyline was great IMO. Squall his clinical depression
This game is unlike anything you've ever seen.
Though they weren't killed, Squall DID have most of his family taken from him, right?
definately the best PS2 game. great trailer

Best game ever
OF course! I think it's one of the best Final Fantasy game :)
Of course, i didn't play FF7 yet but in the graphic and story side, it's splendid. ^^
best game on ps2
@seiryu24717 u forgot about zidane from 9, he was fucking badass
tidus cried all the time in FFX
Well yeah,I was just pointing out he had it.
@HoopsEntertainment i dont know what the hell your talking about... but square is the ONLY company that makes the FF series -_-
Did u see it? Square finally went back to using in-game graphic scenes, even among the FMV sequences. I guess the PS2 killed two birds with one stone for them. No more "bait-and-switch" advertising, and no more "embarrasing" graphics.
90% cutscenes. Seems legit.
fucking EH. MEMORIES.
yeah
@pupu830
lol, agreed with u!
I liked 10 even more. the characters were so much more personable!
2 people "couldn't done it"
@tpkluesner I know right? :'(
This game got easy once you got the ultimate weapons and celestial items... But it was a really good game ....
0:18 If you watched this commercial back in 2001, YOU'VE BEEN SPOILED!!!
i wish final fantasy was still a bit more popular as it was back then.
everyone at school now only talks about Grand Theft Auto and Skate. It's so stupid. I want at least someone at school to talk about FF games.
(10's my top favorite. i love 7, but i grew up playing 10. when 7 came out, i was like three years old. haha.)
Ah they dont make games like this anymore.
hahaha. i know ... and 10 is just as emotional and beautiful as 7, I'm like " WTF... what makes 7 so special?"
3 people are clumsy by clicking the dislike button
this game is fun, but every 2 steps you run into a battle
@seiryu24717 Right on bro. I remember being younger and obssesed with this game. xD
@jsh020 YEP :D
@seiryu24717 Tough guy alert.
0:23 Almost Kingdom Hearts World Journey Rated M Mature 17+ only on Playstation 4 and Nintendo switch.
Only square Enix and Konami, only by Capcom.
@seiryu24717 Personally I thought ACC was some serious character derailment, considering that, by the end of the Lifestream Sequence in FFVII, Cloud, though still the shy adorkable type, becomes the stereotypical "save the world" protagonist.

What part of the game was it when they were grinding the rails like Sonic the Hedgehog? xD
Hank Hill when they were saving tuna from getting married
Okay, each time that I watch FFX videos, I want to replay the game. BUT I HAVN'T GOT TIIIIME ! :'(
Ahhh Squaresoft the good old days
i agree. it was a mockery of the otherwise beautiful ffx...
the last great JRPG!
yeah, that's why i said nostalgia played a big part.
i didn't like 8 'cause of the draw system.
ooh, Spoony's not gonna like this
Better than the Japanese commercials of this game
does anyone think theyre makin to many final fantasies
if so comment me
yeah me too I think that this is the best game ever made. But of course that is debatable so yeah but that is my opinion
Who wasnt killed?and yeah squall was ripped from his family.
time force
@yiprajosie085 What about Kingdom Hearts?
final fantasy 8 commercial
@seiryu24717 I totally agree with you about the emo shit, because it does get to be really annoying (especially with Squall) but, you can't deny that out of all the main male charactesr, Tidus did the most whining and crying. ;)
@Mynameis708 i thought it was fun until i beat it, then its horrible there nothing left to do next
I should know I've beaten it about ten times...lol
LMAO xd
i'm playing ff13 right now but watching this make me want to stop ff13 to play ff10 again; ff10 is just a masterpiece, nothing can ever beat it. ff13 has really nice graphic but there's nothing for the story and character development; not to mention I'm totally confused about the whole l'cie thing..... can't they come up with some enemy name is that easier for me to follower? ffx was just straightforward; one word "sin"
@CAKE369 i love XIII but its not topping X any day, mainly cause no game ever is gonna top X, ok i mean proboly square will do it eventually but as of right now FFX is the best game to ever exist
you mean final fantasy 6? yeah thats what u meant
can u work this video please
STAY AWAY FROM THE SUMMONER XD
@genericusername1221 *Holds disk for X-2*
@seiryu24717
I hate emo protagonists as much as the next guy, but at least they keep most of their bitching on the inside, and this is beside the point , but I can't even take Tidus seriously as a fighter . I've played it twice^^ the seconde time I tried to train the characters to max but I failed....but my Lulu at least got 50 000hp!^^
