Great stuff. Su-metal's enunciation has always been as near impeccable as it could be, that is not a new thing ... as for story telling, yes that was exactly what she was doing - did you notice the lyrics right about when you paused to say about that? This was the opening number for BABYMETAL Begins, Black Night. Momoko was still an Avenger until the end of that concert, so here we had Su and Moa pretty much talking about BABYMETAL as they had been when they started with their dreams and aspirations and how that hasn't changed. But this concert was the end of BABYMETAL as we knew it and this song was saying that original BABYMETAL was about to become The Legend as the new BABYMETAL begins. I think you got the wrong instrument when you said to "shred that guitar" ... but who would have imagined BABYMETAL would have a saxophone solo.🎷🦊🎷 Yes to reactions to all those songs and versions of songs you mentioned ... also there are some cover songs they performed early on that I'm pretty sure you haven't reacted to.
that right there is how you say goodbye to the duo, their pinky finger salute is their bond of soulmates, after all we are witnessing the fox-god split in half between the two, before they willingly each give Yui's star to Momo, making them complete again, because as the Lore teaches us that the fox-god can only exist on earth if it is split three ways, I just love their commitment to BABYMETAL, it is a beautiful thing, now I think we all want to see TY-Metal watch the piano version of "Monochrome" get your tissues ready TY, you might experience some salt water discharge from your eyes.
You have missed some BABYMETAL covers such as Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai at Budokan 2014 and Tamashii no Refrain from Legend 1997 (both on my chan). However, before that, I recommend a special live performance of Doki Doki Morning from the BABYMETAL Returns concert. (linked in reply)
Nice reaction 🤘🏻 Now it's time for Doki Doki Morning at Makuhari Messe, Karate at PIA Arena, Babymetal Death Shin version and Babymetal Death with Momometal at PIA Arena🤘🏻🦊🔥
14:14 yes, this is exactly why Babymetal is so diverse from the start, to make sure fans can't complain, because Babymetal has always done things differently, the only change in sound/image is their age/maturity.
I wonder if the difference you’re feeling is the renewed commitment they have to continue doing Babymetal. They almost stopped at the ten-year mark. I’m eager to hear and see what comes with their next album.
This was the opening song for Black Night at Babymetal Begins on April 1st, which was the last performance with Momoko as Avenger; she officially became Momometal at the end of the show. The whole Babymetal Begins shows was designed to bring to a close the duo era and to introduce the new trio and begin the new era. Su has always had incredibly clear enunciation in her vocals. Even as someone who only knows a smattering of Japanese, she's incredibly easy to listen to and follow what she is singing. Since you are now going on to more obscure Babymetal performances, you should check out the special performances they did for the girls birthdays at the Legend shows: "Chokotto Love", "Love Machine", and "Tamashii No Rufuran". I would also recommend checking out Babymetal's cover of Kiba of Akiba's "Anime with You", which is called "Kimi to Anime ga Mitai"; watch the Kiba version first and then the Babymetal version to get the full effect. If you want to get into the really obscure stuff, have a listen to "The Hills of Wisteria", which is by the Kami band without Babymetal and serves that their tribute to Mikio Fujioka - ua-cam.com/video/PMJ2RkYkhAA/v-deo.html There is a special version on Rumble that isn't on youtube that features the Kamis along with some of Mikio's other friends from the band "C4" - rumble.com/v26be7y-hill-of-wisteria-mlg-avengers-vocal-version.html If you like the Kami band intros, you will love this.
I think it's partly because of her natural development, but maybe it has to do with rumors I heard that she was considering retiring during their hiatus, and maybe after she decided not to, she just fell in love with what she does all over again?
They have said in a round about way they were thinking about quitting during their hiatus. They had originally said in one interview that they were thinking about quitting when Yui did, and then discussed it and decided they would go forward with their plans to reach their 10th anniversary before making a decision. Moa had also specifically said that she wouldn't stay if Su decided to quit, which made it sound like it ended up in Su's hands. Then in another interview, they said they discussed it between the two of them during the hiatus and decided that for them to go forward, it needed to be with Momo as a trio, and not as a duo.
@@Hymnodic Interesting. I also heard two conflicting things so idk which (if either is true.) One person claimed Su was practicing singing 10 hours a day during hiatus, but I also heard someone say that she had said she stopped singing for awhile and lost interest in it during hiatus. So idk...
@@poohbear4702 In an interview she said the plans for the hiatus was suppose to be a hiatus for music as well, to rest and do other things she liked. But in the end, she couldn't stop herself from singing, so Moa and her started meeting up again and practicing.
Great reaction, thanks! "THE LEGEND" is not only an album closer but also the finishing touch of a whole era. They staged it during BABYMETAL Begins Black Night specially in the end of the show, right before Momometal's announcement as a full-fledged member. And, for once, they were crystal clear: the past is something that will never come back. What about the sax solo? 😁 🤘🦊
I think a good next reaction would be the Iine! performance from Clear Night because it was the first time they performed it live in over 5 years and the energy from the crowd and the pure joy on the faces of Su and Moa being able to do it as a proper trio again with Momo is wonderful.
After Uki Uki Midnight and Akatsuki full version (check out the 2014 Budokan Black Night performance), there's a bunch of cover songs as well. Kimi to anime ga mitai (I also recommend 2014 Budokan Black Night for this) Tamashii no Rufuran Chokotto Love Love Machine Tsubasa wo Kudasai White Love Over the Future Painkiller Breaking the Law
I love the Smooth Jazz feel of The Legend, especially of the middle section, complete with a sax solo in the bridge. That feel comes across even more strongly on the album track. Most days my favorite on the TOO album. I was a huge Smooth Jazz listener during the naughties (2000-2009), the heyday for the format on FM radio. I would love to hear Su- do some Sade covers.
I think their hanfs movements are based on multiple Things. First japanese is a language of homophones. In some cases you have up to fifty different meanings that a word can have. And you have to guess from context which is the correct meaning. So japanese has a more active Gestik. Sometimes people write in the air or on tables the chinese characters that they mean. Historically Japan did have multiple languages but they used the same writing system from chinese tradesmen that came by boat. And these handmovements also offered a possibility for Su to dance if she simoly doesn't have the air to dance. They were down to two members for too long.
To be honest, I like this song. Good lyrics! For some reason, it feels like a distant memory of when I left my home planet. About 1 billion years ago??...lol
Hi from Japan. Please react to Road of Resistance in the "D1 BABYMETAL LEGEND METAL GALAXY METAL GALAXY World Tour in Japan Extra". It is the last song of the live video. It is the most magnificent Road of Resistance with five dancers and two Kami Bands. Crowd reaction is also craziest. I believe you like it.
watched all your babymetal, need some enlightenment : ) I have the blue ray concerts "other one baby metal begins", which includes black night and clear night but I also have "the other one babymetel returns" did you do babymetal returns?
"Yeah it"s cool, but still not perfect though 'cause lost half of her soulmate in stage, without Yui or anyone who replacing her, there still a gap of cracking spot that bothering the coolness of BabyMetal for sure, 'cause BabyMetal is suppose to be 1 Metal Backsound Band, 1 Leading Vocalist, and 2 Dancers and Backup Singers !"....🤔
I love the saxophone solo that they included in this song. You should listen to The First Take Monochrome version.

3:23 Yes, the Black Night was Momo's last performance as an Avenger. She was declared a member at the end of the concert.
The best word i can use to describe Su's voice is "divine"
