    It takes real vision to see a product, and evolve it into what it can truly be - and you have definitely done that here. The current camera market feels so lacking in innovation, but here you are putting the big boys to shame - keep it up!

      Ahhh thanks bro. It's so true...the 'one size fits all' model is very stale.
      I see modular cams as the future and users being able to swap parts that look like native parts of the body is the way manufacturers should go.

      @@Behnam_Moghaddam awesome man, we should add eachother on Instagram.
      Bro...it has to be portable to some degree. Even if it's usually fixed at one location, it should be relatively easy to move around.
      Procrastination is a killer and I never over think things. I think we kinda have enough information on what we need from a device so just build the main structure. I never start a project with modularity in mind, that way if I need to add something later it's not a problem.

    You did it again! Another astonishing approach rooted in your pragmatic sense of the pressure biz where in, or have been in (just like myself). You leave me speechless and thinking twice in order to follow up. Reason and contend still is the key, although we all depend on the tools which are developing fast, really fast! Great presentation bro, hat off to Simon and Mahmood as well. What a great team you are. You guys are extending the boundaries faster than any company can do it through their R&D-, Design-, financial-, marketing and finally production departments are able to nail it down into production. (I'm spearing the distribution timeline and expenses here)
    Keep kicking it. I'll do my part of the show!

    • @Altcine
      @Altcine  8 місяців тому +1

      Thank you bro, very good comment. Yes it so pressurised and we don't really need to stress ourselves like we have done in the past....just need good tools that are practical and get things done with little fuss.
      A few people spoke about scaling things up, funding etc but I just think that would introduce a lot of red tape.
      Hopefully we can build this to a place where people are just building their own stuff at home, avoiding the continuous spending and keeping up with every release.

    This is pretty nice. In the camera space you only hear about the same 4 or 5 cameras in the $5k or less bracket and I've never heard of this camera but the quality is superb. Plus the added control that in a cinema camera would require a slider or something of that nature...you got me rethinking...at 1/4 the price...

    • @Altcine
      @Altcine  8 місяців тому

      Yeah we generally hear about the same stuff over and over and it is quite tiring.

    You watch some people on UA-cam and it validates your thinking patterns and brain frequencies, sometimes in 2012, I built a track and dolly and for the environment where I was at the time, my brain was thinking faster than they could imagine, meanwhile, I have been Editor, Cameraman and later Director prior to that time so I know what I was doing so well,
    I had to paint the finished Track and Dolly and stuck ‘Made in China’ onto it for them to come rent but I made a lot of money with cos it served but the discrimination to such ideas dwindled my morale in going ahead with more things tho I always think but less execute, I first if creating a Blackmagic box camera when the first of pocket cinema came out… thank you for showing that I'm Valid

Curious -- I see the remote has a USB-C on the side of it.. wondering why you didn't include a cutout in the STL for a USB cable to plug through there, so the remote could run on USB power? I sneak useless (to me) gear by my wife because to her it all looks the same and I happen to be an exclusive Sony shooter, the FR7… challenge accepted. This little OSBOT is cool too but if I’m going to risk it I’m going all in. Great video, it takes a certain kind of creator to be able to think the OSBOT to its full potential.

    • @Altcine
      @Altcine  8 місяців тому +1

      The Obsbot is definitely the most expensive part so shop around.
      The tablet is an Amazon tab at £70
      The rest is all standard parts...around £8 per part for NATO and arri rossete etc.
      The beauty of this is if you have access to a 3d printer, then you can print the body yourself once we release the files.

      @@daviddrew7624 bro, the best advice I can give you is...get a 3d printer, even an anycubic Kobra 2 neo at £160, you won't regret it because you could make this setup so cheap.
      Body will be about £12
      Heat inserts £8
      Rear NATO £8
      Slim NATO £10
      Rosette £10
      Etc etc
      With everything I'd say around £160ish with the tablet.

    The amount of ptz cameras you could have compared this to other than the fr7 and been on point with. Any from canon or Panasonic but you went whole leaps and bounds to the fr7 apart from ptz functions it's nothing like the fr7 and saying as such is boasting this above it's station. I think it's a great camera but come on, pretty sure it doesn't have a 1" sensor 😅 absolutely wild statement and the thing is people will now repeat what you have said cos they look to you as an expert. Might as well say the 600D is just like an arri Alexa . They both shoot video. It's still missing core ptz systems as it's built for the content creator

    • @Altcine
      @Altcine  8 місяців тому

      Did you actually listen to what I said! The camera actually functions more like an FR7 than an osmo pocket.
      I specifically said that the FR7 is essentially and FX6, full frame, 10bit which is much better and then went on to explain where they're similar in connectivity.
      This is the third silly comment I've had today because you can't see the wood from the trees! Of course it's not an FR7 and I'm assuming you didn't make it to the end of the video to hear my final statements.
      Honestly mate, I try to be respectful but don't come with silly statements like canon Vs Alexa as if that's what I'm proposing.
