This is one of those situations which punishes you if you didn't explore Troia properly. If you came here to fight the Elf without Edward's Whisperweed, it's a scripted game over from a Quake that deals 9,999 damage.
I think this is a problem of playing the series in reverse. By FFV, you've been introduced to Fat Chocobo's about two to three times now and it's become old hat. After finishing the NES FF games, the concept seems foreign, but they shove it in your face as a new concept. Then in the next game they remind you of it, but much less beat you over the head with it. Then in FFV it like... "Do the thing..." Actually surprised to hear someone getting mad about it.
If I remember correctly, Dark Elf/Dark Dragon is weak to fire spells, if you do a firaga it would do 3k damage. I think fire only did 1 because it's weak and not as productive as the other fire spells
You know what would have been nice? If Edward decided to play his little song BEFORE you enter the cave. Instead of the harp he should've played the spoons.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Edward's harp melody when he comes in rescuing Cecil and the party is Path of Repentance music, (Via Purifico in FF X) right?
Haha I did the exact same thing with my black chocobo the first time I landed there Only you are smarter than I was because I actually restarted from my last save

Ohhhh so thats the reason
There IS a fat chocobo in the chocobo village, it's that four square patch near the entrance. (And u missed the treasure room in Troia castle!)
Great video. Glad you are liking 4. 4 will only get better
This games is so 90's. There could never be a scenario today where four men retrieve a crystal for a kingdom of women in leotards.
Can't wait to see his reaction to the bosses here.

Loving this Walkthrough! This is defyingly challenging game.

Need to put armor on Cid. He is still wearing the prison uniform
man having a BRD in a party is always the best (at least from an 11 standpoint) :D

Another of more FFIV! Lets get it!
They said he's weak to metallic weapons, thus why he placed a field to ban them from use. It's home field advantage.
Watching the God of War play through (Part 18) waiting for the next FF4 to post! Love the channel Berk!
Haha the "hidden" fat chocobo
Solid wisdom here
This scene is much better in 3D version
EDIT: Damn the dragon boss here is pathethic lol, almost 2 shot
Yes, very true. It's funny that Berk says that the dark dragon "hits hard" lol. Obviously he hasn't played the 3DS version.
He's even more pathetic if you use Weak/Tornado on him 😉
Not sure if they nerfed that for this version.
The Marionetteer will continuously spawn those puppets. About 10 or 20 of them is a good chunk of experience at a time.
@@veghesther3204 love that overload on the system from a mathematical perspective. It just took me 2 hours to get over 255. Not the best use of time.
What is it with all elfs being evil in FF games? 🤔
That is Not True. Don't forget about the Sleepy Elf Prince in FF1 ;)
@@Aculias oh yeah I take it back, thank you good sir. 🙏

There's actually a Fat Chocobo on that forest. What kind of walkthrough did you read that?
next time, will dansg be able to fight off a no sphere grid party?
I prefer the name twinharp
Me too I pictured a magic, self playing harp
Haha
I did the exact same thing with my black chocobo the first time I landed there

From all stats effect that op in this final fantasy 4 game is slow.
