When I heard it's rush ,I thought it'll be early spamming Heavy infantry to sack AI's capital. Didn't expected it to be well rushed game instead of cheesy one lol
Wow. A raiding tour de force against the Dutch. Never seen anything like it before. Love the way your guys start running amok in enemy territory once their Towers are down. A real eye-opener for those who think raiding is only a tactic instead of a full-blown strategy. Belated congratulations and thanks for the viddy. Cheers! Notice you don't use Civilians to scout like some experts. Prefer it that way since microing two or three dragooned Farmers is very distracting while it doesn't always result in enough Ruins to compensate for deferred gathering. Placing that critical second City within a minute of game time would seem to be more important. KISS--Keep it Simple Stupid--may be the best way for less talented players like myself.
I agree with you completely. I've seen some record games using villagers to take nearby ruins, but as you said, it may not result in extra resources. I like to keep things simple as well, multitasking is very hard and can end up making you play worse if you can't execute very well. Thanks for the kind comment!
You need to play a very defensive style when facing a rush. Focus on Civic Research at the Library + towers and attrition + religion technologies. Always target the Supply Wagon or The Despot in combats, because attrition is the killer of rushes. If you like a more defensive style, I recommend playing with Russians or Koreans, both great civs.
@@bragi_games Facility with hotkeys is what separates pros from mere mortals. Unfortunately some of us make so many mistakes with them we're better off clicking instead. This game stretches multitasking to the limit.
@@bragi_games Yeah, took that test several times and failed each one. Didn't realize there's so many--you're doubtless aware of the multiple menus in Preferences. Actually prefer clicking for military builds and upgrades since it's useful to discriminate among multiple Barracks and such for units or upgrades relative to Patriot proximity (he's usually the rally point).
well good game but you manage your economy pretty poorly. most of the time you had only 1 caravan. because of that you had knowledge issues too with only 1 scholar. as a result you couldnt resarch commersial in time to not have food and wood at limited max production. also you wasnt sending enough workers to mines therefore you had constant lack of metal. even at the end of the game you had only 15 workers on mines out of 26 possible.

Thanks! Yes, I tried to play as I would against a real player, instead of using specific techniques to beat the AI
AI always ahead. He have 2x resources

Well played
Do you have any tactics for facing aggressive nations who will attack within the first 5 mins, such as the Mongolians ?

@@jonshive5482 Yes, hotkeys are insanely important! RoN even has a challenge to improve skills using hotkeys, very useful to practice.
