Awesome tip as always. Thanks again for sharing
🙏🏻
Good morning man! Thanks for the knowledge
Perfect explanation 👍I’ve seen this do wrongly too many times.
Thank you my man! Let’s go fight the good fight 💯
I just passed the Journeyman exam yesterday. I think watching your videos helped. Thanks for all you do.
Congratulations!!!
Thank you brother
Thank you sir,
the only problem with the GFCI in the main panel is nobody will ever check to see if it works. I trip / check mine every time I change the water, so I know it works.
What if the hot tub is manufactured with integrated GFI protection?
What in the world is a "positive neutral"?
What is the reasoning for needing a neutral at the hot tub disconnect if there is only two hots and a ground?
Hot tubs have to be on GFCI and in order for it to work the circuit has to have a Neutral landed on the GFCI then the Neutral on GFCI terminates to the Neutral bar 👍
you need to read the manual to see if yours calls for a neutral. Some tubs have 120 volts for the control circuit and that's where the neutral comes in. You also need a neutral wherever that GFCI breaker is installed. I pulled 4 wires to my outside disconnect because I have no idea what my next hot tub will need. If my next tub needs 4 wires then I just add that last 10 feet next time.
Good video! How big of an outfit are you currently running? What type of work do you enjoy most? Love the vids!
We have 10 men in the field
I thought only AFCI's had a neutral wire hanging off of them. GFCI's don't or am I mistaken? Thx Coach
Some GFCIs don't have a wire hanging from the side, but they will have another terminal where you MUST add one. The first time I ran into that it was a head scratcher because I didn't see it.
Sometimes those are newer models meant to be ‘plug on neutral’ that clamp not only to the hot bus bar but also to a neutral bus bar setup in newer panels.
