Can you share where you got/what is the grommet used where the flexible conduit passes through the cabinet? I need to drill a hole and need a grommet.. or compression fitting to go there (otherwise silicone or duct seal).. I like the deal of a grommet for a clean install. Thanks!!

Big fan of your explanations and expertise. Are family is hoping to someday, dreaming, put in a swim spa in the ground. Again, your explanation on dimensional clearance is crucial for us.

During a home inspection from a few years back, we found a pretty beat up hot tub circuit in a 4 season room. The hot tub had been removed prior to the inspection. We found the fused local disconnect had completely melted and behind a damged 50 amp GFCI, which itself no long functioned having failed closed - no protection what so ever, in the main panel the B stab bus bar had cracked. The worst part in all of this, the seller at the time, did not disclose there had been this kind of damage and still had power going to the disconnect. After the main panel had been isolated we found that only a small bead of melted plastic insulated the full 150 service amperage from a live and loose #4 to the metallic casing of the disconnect. To our knowledge some very terse calls between the realtor, local utility on local building inspector followed.

I always have suspected that the Colorado River is polluted, yes because of all the years of mining.

great explanation just hate that the electrical isnt in near the hot tub panel etc usually this is due to the homeowner or gc screwing up on measurements.

    Hey Joshua,
How did you connect the bare ground wire. Is there a ground rod in the foundation?

Usually it is an acorn clamp screw fixing the number 8 ground to the mesh that they put in before they pour concrete. You can look up the Ufer ground in article 250 of the National Electric code to get an idea of what he was talking about but thats the basic idea

EXTREMELY expensive electricity is just around the corner. Will cause a large change in living standards. Anything to do with energy.
