Ya it would have hurt his career probably or just slowed it down. I get that he probably had dreams of being on that show when it was something to be proud about back when comedians would actually benefit and gain an audience for being a cast member on SNL. I could have made the show a little bit better too to have his comedic style on there if he was too right and be on the show but it could have also made him a little bit more censored if he was spending most of his time trying to write and create in that kind of environment where he was limited to certain topics and how to approach if he wants them on AIR

Man Bert doesn't let Shane finish one story, he just interrupts with a story he just thought of.. again and again, unbareable.
New here, huh?
Yeah Bert always be featherin that interrupt pedal
You mean, un...bear...able
First timer?
Yeah that's why it'd funny
I love Bert and maybe its just me but man it makes me wanna bash my eardrums with an icepick when I hear him try to tell a story while he does his super high pitched laugh
It's like if your friend has an annoying habit like that; I like him, so it's more endearing than annoying, but it is annoying lol
"Wagon Wheel" really wasn't obscure enough. Shane's response was classic Shane though🤣
Best part about watching this late is Shane got to party with Nate
This is the first time I've heard that Doug Stanhope is planning a new special.... so fucking keen on that! also Shanes new special is one of the best!
9:06 Shane comes in and wraps up the first 9 minutes.
I hate to say it, because the whole episode was a fun watch, but that was probably my biggest laugh, and it was at the beginning
I was looking for more moments like this but kept skipping through 3 hours of bert just talking about himself
bert saying he's the most athletic comic without a hint of being facetious got me dying 😭😭
I love when guests on a podcast say that they are going to be on a podcast I listen to. Looking forward to shane on the honeydew 💚
Shane rules… saw him open for soder like two years ago and his bonfire UA-cam’s are hilarious… crackle crackle get it bull
I fuckin love it
PIPPA NAUUUUUU
"They could have built a school, but instead they wore nice dresses"
i like this dude.
Man, I thought it was bad how long it took Bert to release this, but Sickler hasn't even dropped his episode with Gillis yet either 😂
Is good strategy for long term exposure though
Honeydew will be the best stop on this west coast tour, night pants nation y’all🤙🏻
I like Shane but i will not torture myself by watching YMH or any podcast under their brand like Honeydew trash.
They record when avilable and give it a slot ner to what the guest is promoting
and spread different poodcasts between dates as to not have shows with shared audience suffer over exposure
I’ve watched all these f the pods with Shane on them recently, and he is a genius, that don’t give himself enough credit. Seems like a genuinely good guy to be around.
came here for shane, he killed it. bert is mangled LOL
I love how this turned into a Norm appreciation fest. Norm was the fucking best.
Timestamp when it starts?
@@PinStripes41 About 1 hour in. It's right after they start drinking.
💯
@@PinStripes41 Thanks, was just thinking the exact same thing after reading the comment. Love both Shane and Bert but Bert has a tendency to talk too much over his guests, rather actually listen to them.
Out of all Berts AKAs and mispronunciations, Shane’s Bert “Cry”scher was maybe the best. And it got no recognition 😆
bert hit him with that joe rogan
Ben Affleck
Seemed like it went over brets head
I laughed. You'll notice on Shane's podcast tour he has thrown out at least one great joke that went over the hosts head
that was gold.
Shane is like a funny, healthier version Bert
Hence you said “funny” and not “funnier” I see what you did there. Much appreciated
Love seeing you make the rounds, Shane!!! 👌 (Because we know you read the comments)
That wall of narcissism is something else.
Hahahaha omg 1:08 when Shane says “let’s have a drink” 😂😂😂 it’s like someone told Bert, ‘we’ve accepted you into heavan’
1:08:00 *
Shane is the only reason I suffered through a bert cast. SODATOE
yup
Ditto
"So Action Bronson inspired you and we're watching your baseball swing?" CACKLES 🤣
Shane must've gotten a hefty tax write off for this charitable appearance.
I wonder which of the sixty three likes is from shane? Just kidding, shane could probably care less how hard you kiss his ass.😅
Underrated comment 😂 we are all here for Shane yet Bert refuses to believe it.
It’s so crazy how self conscious Shane is about his live in Austin special. He doesn’t believe his jokes were funny and that makes me sad because I watched it recently and I was blown away by how much I loved it. Dead ass best special put out since covid started. He murdered so hard idgaf what anybody else says.
You didn't really listen to what he was saying there.
He doesn't think the jokes were funny because he told them a thousand times.
But then when he watched the special with his friends and saw them laughing, he knew the jokes and the special were good.
I tried watching his special, couldn't get into it.
It's probly a nice change of pace for The Young Bull to go on a poddy and not have to tell stories, just gets to sit back and listen to stories.
Shane has a signature " Yah" .. I use it all the time now 😂
shanes hilarious and special, but i love how everyone in the game is rooting for him to be huge. he deserves it
what do you mean SPECIAL?
Shane Gillis is super-talented and getting canned from SNL was a blessing.
1st part of it you are describing EXACTLY what we are. We are called visual learners. We have struggled with the same thing. Memorizing its not the same as your memory. Also has nothing to do with intellectual smarts. You are smart. I am smart. We are just visual learners and thats how we reflect, reference, remember and think. Also we prolly have add ir whatever they call it nowadays lol. We are very strong thinkers and have strong pull toward the arts. Your'e a king as a visual learner and never be ashamed. People like us have made the biggest impact on art and culture.
love the gilly. just stomps in, picks his nose and mounts his throne mid Wagon Wheel. one of the best
I cant imagine Shane meshing with the crew at SNL very well hahahah
Such a great inside joke Jake, bravo sir!
He's friends with Micheal Che. But yeah you're right
SNL would get hilarious if Shane bullied the whole cast relentlessly and their fear had them slavering for his approval with every sketch they submitted. He could fill that role in a way that the head writers can’t, to everyones benefit. Probably would’ve saved the show.
Probably would just hang with Michael Che
Me neither.
"I'm not preachy. I listen to a lot of people."
Bert's best joke.
Saw shane with bobby in brea. Shane rocked that shit but some of the crowd wasnt as responsive. Also shane's braver than the troops for getting in a car with bobby
Shane is catching fire so much right now
That special 🔥🚒🔥 so hot 🥵 right now
@@talibanchristian jah
Tip of the iceberg bro
As he should
Shane's been on fire. Everyone else is just now finding out about how great our God is.
the Norm impression 'Hope, ya never wanna have hope' at 2:13:45 is low key brilliant by Shane. I feel bad Bert just missed it and went oh really? lol L Shane W
16:52 refer to Theo Von’s whole episode if you wanna know more about how Joe doesn’t get jokes.
For a guy who talks about DMT trips and is constantly equating humanity with chimps- Joe is so damn literal! Obv Theo is playing a character on some level like Mitch Hedberg.
@@aleskaresquivel4700 exactly. Difference is hedberg did one liners. Theos shows are really, really good joke writing with structure
Shane needs to debate Tim Dillon over chalamet
Explain?
Lmao i love how a lil over an hour into it and they both nonchalantly suggest drinking and then check to see if each other is serious and once they both confirm they are all about having drinks then you can see their excitement lolol
Yeah true haha thats a really good observation I hadn't even peeped that myself wow thank you for sharing the knowledge
Holy shit, I just fell in love with Bertcast at the end of this. My ribs hurt from laughing my fucking ass off when they pulled up Finland’s government
Him saying Wagon Wheel was gay made me erupt in laughter. That him saying he would wear gym shorts at the met gala.
New to Shane but loving his PA relatability for me!
Benifleck killed it in Phantoms, yo!
Charlottesville, WV and Charleston, NC. I see Brent is well rested for the tour. LOL
I like how he fantasizes about getting big enough for Kanye to text him and a year later Kanye texted him but it was after the Alex Jones show, so it was as soon as the window for aa colab was closed.
funny how life works
He could still get Kanye on the podcast it would be funny hearing someone be so right lmao
@@riflescientist1744 so your an anti semite. Good to know

"Can we get you anything to drink Norm?"
"No I'm sober"

"Bill Clinton killed a man"
Def didn’t happen or at least norm didn’t say that. Bert made that up. it was an obvious call back to berts favorite norm joke that he butchered earlier in the pod
Just one man - Norm knows better.
41:36 “I’m probably athletically the most competent comic we have” dude we saw you shoot hoops and it looked like you’d never touched a ball before…
Love how, despite all the opportunities to be in touch with reality and the truth, bert still seems to always think he's the best athete in any room he's in...no matter who else is there. Guaranteed there are plenty of comics more athletic than bert..for starters, almost every black comic alive..also, as much as i hate to admit it, brenda schwab was a top 10-12 HW in the ufc..AND played for a couple different teams in the NFL..c'mon bert, wake tf up bro

22:06 Bert trying to change the subject so fast lmao THATS MY BOY SHANE
The fact that Bert puts “me” in the title of his own podcast tells you all you need to know about his narcissism
Shane's story about going to Mount Vernon from Matt and Shane's Secret Podcast is so funny. I encourage everyone to go watch it. The episode is called George Washington's house.
That urban legend in the making

Is that the one where he talks about the weak point of armor?

Bert literally discovers Sherlock Holmes' Mind Palace technique.
This has been the best one Shane has done and by far the one I was least looking forward too. Well done Bert
His Theo Von one was great.
