Kalahari Shaking Medicine in Namibia

In this video Ben Cole interviews me about our team's experiences in Namibia where we participated in two Elephant and one Giraffe Dances, in February 2017.

I received an Early Career Research Grant from Coventry University for a short trip to dance with the Kalahari shamans, to learn about the principles of 'shaking medicine'. We talk about the cultural traditions around health and illness, the importance of community, a different view of living and dying, the ancestors and the experience of dissolving into oneness.
I'm a medical anthropologist and conscious dance teacher, working with the healing power of movement and spiritual attunement.
