Soothe Pain: Movement Meditation to Release Pain and Retrieve Energy
Sometimes when you experience severe pain or exhaustion, it can be hard to move. Yet inviting in a tiny bit of gentle movement can shift your perception, ease discomfort, and gently boost your energy.
I created this routine for the Somatic Practice and Chronic Pain Network several years ago. It was filmed by Louis-Henri Lacroix.
This slow and spacious practice is designed to bring relief and resilience whenever you need it.
🌀 You don't need any experience to try it out.
🌀 You can do the movements seated or standing. If you’re seated, opt for a chair with a straight back and no armrests-it'll give you more room to move.
🌀 These movements are slow and safe, with minimal risk of injury.
🌀 If something doesn’t feel quite right, adjust it to suit your needs. You can always make the movement smaller, slower, or softer, do fewer repetitions, or simply tweak your posture, for optimal comfort.
