The Group of Seven at 100: Virtual Curatorial Talk

Held on May 7, 2020, this virtual presentation celebrates the centenary of the Group’s founding with Ian Dejardin, Executive Director of the McMichael and curator of the exhibition “A Like Vision”: The Group of Seven at 100. The presentation is followed by a special musical performance by Bruce Cockburn.

There are so many things I'd like to say about this presentation, and about Ian's love and admiration for the group.
But no one wants to read an essay written by me.
So I'll just say that was just about the best 2 hours I've spent doing anything in a very long time.
Thank you Ian and the staff at the McMichael for putting this together.
And to Bruce - I'm pretty sure I have a few of his earlier albums in my collection.
Maybe I'll play them tonight, over a wee dram or two.

Thank you for an excellent, educational presentation.With all of the exceptional holdings in the McMichael I encourage you to do many more. These could be 20 - 40 minutes in the same vein as "Coffee With A Curator" or " Cocktails With The Curator". You have done an extremely good job and hopefully we will see many more. Thank you.
