Great video! Did you use three or only two? I bought a couple six or seven years ago and have used them hundreds of times since. I usually hang it from a ridgeline. I carry my Paracord loops in a bag so I can wear one of the ponchos if it rains. I had my loops tied to the grommets and busted my rear end tripping on one in a downpour. Anyways, thanks for the inspiration and be safe out there!
I have 2 full Lavvu set ups, one pair I will leave buttoned up as a Tipi tent, the second pair one is for single poncho shelters and will leave the loops on. The final one is my poncho and porch/beak. Like you, have thought that leaving the loops on it could be a snag or trip hazard so remove them and keep seperately, use one of the pole bags actually. I used a mixture of one, two and three poncho`s in the 8 set ups. All four is a bit extravegant, and gets heavy also.
How long did you make your cord? I just picked up a lavvu and that would definitely be a great piece of information to know! Just found your channel, and have you a sub! Some great videos!
Didnt include the measurements because there are three different sizes of Lavvu, and each batch varies in any case so measuring your own as I showed in the video makes sense. Mine is a size 2 (two eyelets on the bottom front edge) with around 150mm / 6" parachord loops to extend it slightly, the knots on my rope are 1.535m / 60 1/4" for the vertical and 2.045m / 80 1/2" for the diagonal. Hope that helps, and thanks for the interest👍
Awesome! Thanks for the info that will really help me about setting it up. Mine is a size 2 as well, I am going to do the paracord on the eyelets like you did. I really like how you set that up! Can’t wait to check out more of your videos keep up the great work!
Bought it from a private seller on e-bay, he had owned it a while but never used it, so still new old stock when I got it, even had the cardboard info ticket still attached. It features in one of my unboxing videos I think.👍

Maybe I missed you saying, where did you get your size 2 lavvu.

Link to purchase the Lavvu you got?
Well they are 50 + years old so a bit of a challenge. Bought mine privately but keep an eye on Military mart, they sometimes have some.👍
3x3 tarp. 👍👍👍
Yes will be getting round to doing some 3x3 tarp origami, they are very flexible pieces of kit you can do so much with. Thanks.
