    Five years later, and the way you just bung it at the door still gets a chuckle out of me. 😂

    Neat! Same principle as roll-folding your socks. Never thought it could be applied to tarp/lavuu shelter as well. Am impressed and have just subscribed. Like your natural candle video too. Thanks for the valuable insights Swedwoods.

    Hey Swedwood. I got my Nato Tipi yesterday. I packed it this way you did, thanks for your advice and video! Reminds me on how the german army is rolling/packing most of equips for example t-shirts or uniform stuff. Totally forgot that about my basic training at the time. Best vids on youtube for me!

    Very good way to fold and carry a tipi. A little more difficult to roll it back this way after camp, but it's worth a try.

    • @Swedwoods
      @Swedwoods  5 років тому +2

      The bigger the Item is I tend to do this. Because its so nice to not need small straps for something you carry outside of the backpack. And I always loose those small straps. Key is to get it tight, and sure you are right about that will be harder on the feathering forest floor after camp. But you learn. I roll it on my sleep mat. Its only the final few turns when you roll it you need to go really hard. And brush off after each turn so you dont roll half the forest in there :-). Other items thats great folding like this is big sweaters, pants, raincoats etc. They slide down inside of the pack so nice and disappear, in comparison to if you just push them down there.

      LOL...thanks. Yes that one have to be practiced some before it works good. Two things that can go wrong is that you don't make that flap in the end big enough and that you don't roll it snug enough!

    Jag är lite sugen på att skaffa mig ett polskt lavvu-tält. Tror du man får plats i två st storlek 1 om man är 190 cm? Tacksam för svar!

    • @Swedwoods
      @Swedwoods  3 роки тому +1

      Nej det är tom svårt att få ett size 3 att räcka till för någon som är 1.90. Men visst kan du sova i ett size 1 och 2 men det handlar om vad man har för preferenser. När jag säger att det är för litet menar jag att du inte kan ligga på rygg raklång utan att en vintersäck tar emot tältväggen vid fotändan. Fosterställning är varmast och då räcker size 1.
