      Hello.Can you say,please,whats +/- size of 3/4gen fighter at this scale?Is it +/- size of palm?

    • @diegodollarhide6663
      @diegodollarhide6663 Рік тому

      @@RundomguyThere are a lot of 3/4 Gen fighters to choose from, so a specific size is impossible to determine, but for example, a 1/144th scale F14 Tomcat (which is 63 feet long in real life) would be about 5.25 inches long

    Excellent work. And I thought the MiG-21 was tiny and fiddly. This is even tinier. You've done a splendid job there showing those camo colors. Love MiGs. Cheers!

    Incredible detailing on such a small kit, the only thing that spoiled the cockpit was that “log” they had representing the control column.

    • @ModellingWeekly
      @ModellingWeekly  2 роки тому

      yep, that control column was appalling haha. I wanted to remove it. though could really think of a way to get rid of it...sounds stupid at first lol, but a sanding stick wouldn't work, neither would a file...or a knife lol!

    Are you sure about that green cockpit color? Mig 15s used to be gray inside. This green wa used on later mig models..like 21

    • @ModellingWeekly
      @ModellingWeekly  2 роки тому

      You are correct, a lot of them were painted in grey, but there's some examples that have been turquoise-d up, so thought i'd use that as it's a bit more interesting

    i loved 1/144 kits when i was younger much younger (think Revell's microfighter series). i always tell myself that i will bet back into them now that i am in my 40s.
    i must say i have no clue what a mask sheet and photo etch fret is.

    1/144 I didn’t even know that Eduard did this scale! 😳 Tbf, it’s the way to go, especially for larger aircraft and I’m really looking forward to Beacon Models starting up.....Spits and 109’s to start with (Battle of Britain and then all of the other BoB inventory)!
    I’d like to see you do the Great Wall Hobby Vulcan....even as the tanker kit, it still has the Shrike Missiles and decals for the Falklands War....

    Oils take a while to dry, How long did you wait before removing the oil wash?

    • @ModellingWeekly
      @ModellingWeekly  Рік тому +1

      The excess oil wash was removed once the white spirit carrier had evaporated, leaving just the partially set oil paint - you don't want to wait until it's dried further because it makes it much harder to remove the excess

      @ModellingWeekly  3 роки тому

      Well, can't say I'm an expert on these colours, but I'd probably suggest 71.056 panzer grey, post shaded with pretty much any grey that is a bit lighter. Hope this helps!
