Hello from Texas in the United States! I found your channel a few days ago and have been binge watching all your videos, I can't stop myself! Everything you do looks as if you can get in and fly or drive them right off your desk, so beautiful. I would love to see if you can get your hands on a MiG-21 or MiG-25 model kit. Keep up the amazing work!
No offense but is belarus as rough as the media makes it out to be, not looking to offened im just interested in what an actual citizen thinks, no the govt or media lol
David- How do you find the time to build so many models? Apart from shooting and editing videos of the process, it takes me (what seems like)forever to build a single model while you've finished seven or eight... very impressive. Thanks also for doing these in English as well!
Ahoj Davide - co se Ti tam stalo s barvou ????? Neuschla nebo špatně namíchané - špatný výrobek ?Co říkáš na Italské letectvo ve WT ?? Možná by to chtělo něco z tohoto segmentu postavit :DZnovu pěkná práce a dobře zvolená hudba - díky za hezkých 13 minut u dopolední kávy .
Protože toto schéma ve stavebnici nebylo. :-D a hlavně jsem chtěl mít kamaráda k f-86, kterou mám ve sbírce. Bylo mu tam strašně smutno. Samé vrtuláky z druhé světové.
Not alot of those left in the world....seen the remains of one in Afghanistan, I looked at the avionics and controls...there were bakelite wire nuts holding wiring together. It didnt have wings and was sticking out of a mountainside. Kids were playing in it. Funny thing was the guy who owned it said a russian crashed it and told his father he could have it. He had no concept of time but I'm guessing it was way before the 80s and probably was one of the defections the Soviets say never happened.
Nice job on this one, David. Hard to believe this Eduard kit needed so much putty. You latest video technique with narration with subtitles, and the placement of the paint near the model is your best format yet. Now, how about some more challenging kits......Special Hobby, Modelsvit, or a short run brand. Love to see you skills applied there.
Thank you for showing the issues you had with the paint. I share your disappointment with bad paints, and your perseverance. well done on another excellent build!
Sorry guys but I gotta leap to AK's defence here. Tried their stuff a few days ago for the first time (polished aluminium) and it gave me the best nmf I've ever seen. It was touch-dry after about a minute or so. Maybe you got one of the old bottles? I understand that there has been an issue with some batches in the past but that should be fine by now. I ordered mine from the UK through eBay. Of course the build was stunning als always. Great recovery.
Outstanding! That hypodermic needle trick is beyond anybody's expectations. Another great point is the background music. I'd like to know band's name. Keep up the great work.
Hey Plasmo, from the USA, Great build. I always learn from you. Imagine a really big plane. A super fortress or something. You, sir ,are a master modeler. regards, Solomon
One of your best videos my friend!! I laughed so much on 08:13!! XD I will start with the hobby very soon. I'm creating courage to start my first model. Greetings from Brazil, my friend! All the best for you. :D
Pěkná práce Dave. Ty AK barvy vypadají docela dobře - až na ty dvě... Škoda, že jsi nenašel žádnou ruskou ani korejskou písničku :) Těším se na další video. Nebylo by třeba něco se suchými pastely ?
Great tips especially on the gun barrels. Much cheaper than brass tubes. I find it odd that Eduard had so many seam line gaps... that isn't like them. Great build, love your videos, and cool background music. Thanks and can't wait for the next one. Cheers from Alberta Canada.
Magnificent :) Looks like you got bottle that was stored poorly, (in extreme cold) structure of paint changed and it wont cure... I had same issues with ak varnish, it was sticky for weeks...
Sorry to say this but it's nice to see you also f..k things up from time to time."Jezus, Maria" was a good one.Do you have a family in Poland or was picked from your beloved northern neighbours?Cheers from Poznań :)
If you want a "metal" finish don't use paint, try Bare Metal Foil aluminim and chrome. But, avoid any clear coats, it will dull the finish and it will look like paint. Surfer rockabilly?
You said you don't like the puttying and sanding, but for me it's the building part which is my favourite. Unlike you I don't like the painting part that much, although I'm getting better at it. As for puttying, I do like your masking tape trick, haven't used that yet, but I might have an idea how to make puttying easier on you. Have you ever tried to use a miniature Scraper/Spachtel to level the putty? I combined it with your toothpick method of applying putty, thanks for the tipp btw., and it has yielded some nice results leading to so little putty buildup, that you almost don't need to sand at all.
Q: on the AK Aluminium paint that was bad. Since it did not dry properly could you use a hair dryer to help dry it or add thinner to the paint to fix the paint mixture. Asking because I have 2 bottles of AK Alum. I ordered from Poland.
I'm unsure what you did with the polished aluminum, I've used it and it dried just as well as their other metal lines. I'd suggest contacting them, perhaps your batch was bad. Also if you ever get their thinner, be incredibly careful with that and do not use it around your model, it's cellulose based and will eat your plastic faster than you can grab a rag to clean it with. It cleans their paints out of your brushes really nicely though.
are you attracted to small models and are you attracted by small models of brands that are known to produce parts of a cheap, bad quality? this very eduard line of 1/72 scale models reminds me of mid 80s italeri scale model kits .... truyl horrible
What? An Eduard kit _without_ photo etched parts?? And: when it comes to silver model colors, I had no problems with Alclad air frame aluminium. Worked nicely with airbrush and dried as intended. Took me half a bottle for a 1:48 F-5 Tiger, though... I'd say the problem was not in the AK color, but in the combination with the _primer_ . The Vallejo polyurethan primer I use does not feel dry after 24 hours of drying, but it works fine when covered with acrylic paint. But with a different paint, it might just never dry, like laquer pen on rubber (no kidding: this combination isn't dry after _weeks_ ).

By the way, you are very famous and popular among my Japanese friends on twitter, actually I'm also Japanese, and we love your beautiful works very much! We are looking forward your new videos!
I like your level of simplicity to a very good realistic model. After watching someone take what seemed like 5 years to do 1000 coats of different metals to the nozzle of a F-14....
Great model from you sir! Have you ever tried kitchen aluminium foil burnished onto the plane, panel by panel? you can use shinny side and dull side for different effects. I would love to see you try it on your next all silver model😀
Hello Sir, I really enjoyed your videos about the different types of kits you build on You-tube. What is the difference between the Tamiya Extra Thin Cement and Mr. Cement S? Why do you use IJN (Imperial Japanese Navy) Dark Grey on a German Aircraft? Thank you for your time in reading my questions and comments. Sincerely Allan
The need for ballast to keep the nose wheel on the ground must be a peculiarity of plastic MiG-15 models. I recall a 1/72 scale MiG I built in the mid-70s that required the same thing. I don't remember having to do that with any models I built of other planes.
Hi, I am having trouble with a 1/48 scale meteor. I painted it, then coated with 3 layers of Humbrol gloss cote. After that I applied decals with difficulty as the decal solution (Tamiya mark fit) wouldn’t stick to the model and it would drop off. The surface of the gloss cote was also uneven (did I not use Enough thinner?) and then when trying to apply a wash (very thin tamiya XF-1 flat black acrylic using water to thin) the wash wouldn’t flow into panel lines, so I decided to coat it then wipe away extras, but then it all dried and I couldn’t wipe extra so now I have a very dirty looking meteor! I’m currently seeing if I can put Humbrol matte cote on it, who knows how that will go.
Hi David could you make the Zvezda Mi-24 it's an upgraded version of the Revell one but I don't really know how to do it because there are the opened egine bays. I'll apreciate if you could make it. Keep up the good work bro !

It happened to me too, around 8 years ago. I was a begginer, so i decided to let it dry... and it took almost 2 months!!
Beautiful build, David! Surprised you had problems with the AK metal paints. I probably would have given up after the first disaster.

hi, but to protect the decals did you use the glossy varnish?
