Hi I have a question! Do you think if an oboe is poorly made can that effect the pitch your instruments playing? Like I have a selmer oboe and when I play a nomaral A flat it sometimes comes out higher even if I make lips looser.
Yes, for sure if an instrument isn’t properly made you’ll have occurrences where the intonation is off. For instance, the bells diameter can even change the intonation for a couple a notes. I had this problem with my instrument.

Another issue could be that a key is stuck. When was the last time you adjusted your instrument?
@@Zekes_Oboe I never done that before! but I did have some of my pads replaced last year.
