It also makes sense to announce DLC at the proper time and place which wouldn’t be social media.

Exactly, both of those games there was no answer on DLC, they worked on it quietly, then announced and dropped it surprising everyone with it, and what they were working on not only was amazing, but really gave us more to do, explore, new weapons, lore, etc, so it was well worth the wait, if DLC is coming, it's be well worth the wait. 💯

What are you talking about? Venom and Eddie were nearly perfect in SM3 just bc Topher didn’t get ripped and wasn’t like 6.5 feet tall doesn’t mean it was bad. In fact it was probably one of the best if not the best. For example. Venom never originally talked. He didn’t talk until the comic line: “Venom: Lethal Protector”. But Venom as an Antagonist never talked up to that point.

Honestly, I would rather have a venom game with carnage as the main villain than a carnage Spiderman 2 dlc. I would absolutely love a venom game as the gameplay would be very unique and you very rarely get well made games when you get to play as more of bulky brute force character like venom. Plus, the gameplay would be so fun with being able to utilize venoms abilities.
Another thing is people forgot Insomniac had a huge leak that happened that leaked employee info, plans for the new games they’re working on(Wolverine included) etc. Which basically derailed/delayed all their plans and schedule due to now having to improve their security.
They don't have anything new to announce because what was previously going to be news, ultimately was leaked, especially through that dev debug menu they left in the game that revealed the dlc. I bet we still get a dlc🤟
I'm sure we will get some DLC at some point soon.....we just have to let them cook and take the time to make it...they did say nothing to announce at this time...i personally believe they have something in the works....hopeful by the 1 yr anniversary for SM2 or SMPS4's 6th anniversary and we have plenty of showcases for this year and even that PS5 Pro showcase too. I lowkey feel like the 2nd one doesn't need dlc I mean like the first games DLC really felt like part of the story to kinda do some world building to pave the path for future installments. See the problem is, if they do do a venom game, theyve got to have DLC because as it stands the only symbiote left is Carnage. Venom and scream both died. It specifically showed them both burning up, so they need some form of additive to show how Venom comes back.
Our last hope is the rumored PlayStation showcase in September. If we don’t get a dlc announced for spider man 2 in the PlayStation showcase, then I think they are just focusing on marvel’s Wolverine. But yes, maybe they can do the same thing Santa Monica studios did!

I just feel like the game doesn’t have the same post release attention to buff the game up, asides from the venom stuff between the alleged cut content, pace and direction what we were told vs how it actually went, updates felt scarce and still don’t have many fan favourite suits from the last game or new ones that were wanted

It's disappointing that we're not getting any DLC (at least not right now) for Spider-Man 2 but in their defence a lot of the things we want in the DLC would be a lot better if they were given a bigger expansion in a full game so that we wouldn't have to pay two or three times for something so exciting like playing as Venom or a story line about Carnage. When Spider-Man 3 comes out I hope we get two plot lines one about the Green Goblin and one about Carnage with them combing their arcs at some point in the game.

It be cool if they do a DLC or a smaller game like Miles Morales where you get to see Cindy Moon become Silk and how she gets her powers like Miles did in Marvel Spider-Man Main Story and that Peter Spider-Man, Miles Spider-Man and Silk are all playable in Marvel Spider-Man 3
If we dont get a dlc for SM2, then maybe we could get Carnage in SM3 with Green Goblin if that game ever happens (it will, im PRAYING). If it does get made, then we could possibly see Green Goblin bond with Carnage to become the Red Goblin for the final boss?!

Honestly, I would rather have a venom game with carnage as the main villain than a carnage Spiderman 2 dlc. I would absolutely love a venom game as the gameplay would be very unique and you very rarely get well made games when you get to play as more of bulky brute force character like venom. Plus, the gameplay would be so fun with being able to utilize venoms abilities.
Beatle could be out in October 2024 then Carnage out in November then Spiderverse anomaly out in December
Another thing is people forgot Insomniac had a huge leak that happened that leaked employee info, plans for the new games they’re working on(Wolverine included) etc. Which basically derailed/delayed all their plans and schedule due to now having to improve their security.
They don't have anything new to announce because what was previously going to be news, ultimately was leaked, especially through that dev debug menu they left in the game that revealed the dlc. I bet we still get a dlc🤟

I'm sure we will get some DLC at some point soon.....we just have to let them cook and take the time to make it...they did say nothing to announce at this time...i personally believe they have something in the works....hopeful by the 1 yr anniversary for SM2 or SMPS4's 6th anniversary and we have plenty of showcases for this year and even that PS5 Pro showcase too.

the DLC is happening. We saw the BIG HUGE BUMP that God Of War Ragnork. Probably going to now go down like that. We would've gotten it sooner had it not been for the leaks. But because that happened, this now has to be a SUPER SLOW BURN!

I lowkey feel like the 2nd one doesn't need dlc I mean like the first games DLC really felt like part of the story to kinda do some world building to pave the path for future installments. Spiderman 2 ends in a way that feels like they didn't have plans to add to it other than doing it for 1 possible character introduction

I honestly think that "Spiderman: The Great Web" WAS suppose to be the dlc because of what was shown about the project but it got cancelled which sucks
See the problem is, if they do do a venom game, theyve got to have DLC because as it stands the only symbiote left is Carnage. Venom and scream both died. It specifically showed them both burning up, so they need some form of additive to show how Venom comes back.
Our last hope is the rumored PlayStation showcase in September. If we don’t get a dlc announced for spider man 2 in the PlayStation showcase, then I think they are just focusing on marvel’s Wolverine. But yes, maybe they can do the same thing Santa Monica studios did!

They released an amazing game, so just say no, we are working on other games. Like I know, it's a strategy to have your game kept in the conversation still into the following year but at the end of the day when the shoe does eventually drop and they say no or say nothing people are going to be pissed and they really don't need the bad publicity when ya have a great game like Wolverine coming out

Insomniac had it really rough ever since they got Hacked and it's just really sad,I'm still hoping for some Story expansion for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 cause we need to see Carnage and if not then it was just a huge waste of time and money.
I just feel like the game doesn’t have the same post release attention to buff the game up, asides from the venom stuff between the alleged cut content, pace and direction what we were told vs how it actually went, updates felt scarce and still don’t have many fan favourite suits from the last game or new ones that were wanted
I mean on a more optimistic note, if they haven’t “announced” anything yet, that means that they could be taking their time on something. Me personally I’m willing to wait a long time for something like this.

It's disappointing that we're not getting any DLC (at least not right now) for Spider-Man 2 but in their defence a lot of the things we want in the DLC would be a lot better if they were given a bigger expansion in a full game so that we wouldn't have to pay two or three times for something so exciting like playing as Venom or a story line about Carnage. When Spider-Man 3 comes out I hope we get two plot lines one about the Green Goblin and one about Carnage with them combing their arcs at some point in the game.
What about a Carnage game?? Maybe the length about the Miles game?? It could show what Cletus Kasady did with the symbiote after he left Peter at the train. I feel like Insomniac could make a great game about it.
Main complaint about Spiderman 2 is the lack of side content. we didn't get as much as the previous games, so yeah, that's my two cents on the matter.
