I’m more excited for Venom Lethal Protector than Spider-Man 3. The lack of a sequel to Prototype 2 or the Darkness 2 has left a hole in my heart, hoping Venom can fill that void.
Although I liked Spider-Man 2, it feels awful knowing that it could’ve been so much better even if it just had one more year in the oven. I hope Spider-Man 3 gets the development time it deserves.
@@arinhossain2100 I think they were just very rushed in the narrative department. Mechnically the game is perfect and you can tell they spent months smoothing it out and making it the best they could but with how they've been outsourcing their writing and ideas to other companies like Sweet Baby that likely caused some narrative confusion and didn't have enough time to truly identify the strong and weak parts of the adive they received.
@@joecroft4274 Story is solid. Only the third act with Venom was rushed as per Bryan Intihar. Which of course Sony pressured them that's why Venom stuff in the third act was cut as well as 90% of Tony Todd's voice for Venom. Not to mention the gameplay even had destructive environments. That would have made the gameplay experience more immersive. Story is solid but could have been better, same goes to gameplay (I know it's great but just saying). I see where you're coming from but Sweet Baby Inc doesn't write stories. The writers have been part of Insomniac as they have previously worked on SM1, Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart. Not really any new writers. Sweet Baby Inc only implemented the agenda stuff for side missions only which are optional so just simply don't do them, simple. You're in the right track though.
Still can't belive they cut out Spider-man content for more MJ shit and I cant ever forgive Insomiac for starting the final mission as MJ like wtf bruh I still enjoyed the game but wtf
@@amarithompson4196 no, they cut content for other reasons (budget, meeting Sonys deadline). They PURPOSELY made sure to include Mj Missions, & the Hailey mission. This comes down to making bad choices, but content wasn’t cut for the sole purpose of MJ missions.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think Insomniac would maximize their story if they focus the game on Peter. Not saying that Miles or Cindi shouldn’t be in the game, but I think they would be better as side characters. Similar to how Arkham Knight includes other playable characters around Batman, but they don’t get in the way of his story.
@@ezzekieldirks8542I felt like it was mostly 70/30 or 65/35 something. Though I liked the game for the most part, you can feel it’s rushed and at times unfocused.
Take their time, plan out a unique story alongside the mission structure simultaneously! Put a focus on world interactivity. More things for the players to do/interact with in the city. Creative side missions & a nemesis system for enemy side missions. Don’t reinvent the wheel for combat and traversal. Just find a way to greatly enhance what’s there & add on to it. Less suits, but the most desired suits with MORE detail. A fun DLC to celebrate the Trilogy.
Imagine they keep the current gadget wheel but add more gadgets to select from that have different purposes(combat, stealth, and-most importantly saving people). I think introducing gadgets that are tailored more towards things like putting out fires, a web net to catch crashing cars (or falling civilians), things like that would add so much to the most overlooked facet of being Spider-Man and that's ACTIVELY SAVING PEOPLE. Combat and swinging is cool and all but I think that's the third component that needs more love outside of mission-locked QTEs.
@@TheWonderpickle I agree fam. & also in retrospect, because the Spider-Man sandbox gameplay has existed since the 2000’s (been so long), the burden falls on insomniac to evolve it. I mean they don’t have to….but they might as well. The Arkham franchise was fortunate because prior, there wasn’t any AAA open world Batman games. If they make a venom game and it takes place in NY/same sandbox, & Spider-Man 3 is the same sandbox.. people will be exhausted with the franchise. Insomniac just has to focus on what really matters.
@@-Anonymous-. unfortunately everything has been pushed back due to that big data hack that happened at the beginning of 2024. The next Spider-Man game probably won’t come out until closer to 2030. They have another comic hero game in the works too outside of Wolverine. The next insomniac game we get will probably be Wolverine closer to 2026 or 2027.

I don’t think Silk should be playable in Spider-Man 3. Focus on Peter and Miles first before giving her the spotlight in her own game similar to the Miles Morales game.

Saved by Miles when he was inside a buring building inhaling smoke. The dude in the suit is an innocent civilian, he's not gonna hurt him. But let's look: Spidey beats down Mr negative twice, takes down Electro and vulture at the same time, beats Rhino and Scorpion pretty easily together, then beats down Doc ock on the side of a building when all his gadgets are destroyed. So yea, he's weaker in the second game by far. Oh I forgot to add he beats down Hammerhead twice.
Honestly I think they should make both a venom game and a Miles Morales sequel before Marvel's Spider-Man 3 that's the best way you can set up silk and tell venom's redemption so Marvel's Spider-Man 3 can mainly focus on the origin of the Green goblin and Peter's final story!

I hope Cindy and MJ aren't playable in the 3rd game and it's just full on Pete and Miles gameplay with them in and out of costume Cindy can get her powers in the end and set up a new game series I just want 100% Spider-Men in the next game
They need to bring back the head writer from the first game and Miles Morales. Don’t know why he didn’t write Spider-Man 2. Switching up your writers in the middle of a franchise isn’t a smart move. For the third game, they need to cut out these slow, walkie talkie type missions. Those missions are a major reason of why the game fell flat. Correctly balance the characters. It doesn’t make sense that MJ can take out symbiotes faster than Peter or Miles, and Intihar saying he doesn’t give a shit about that criticism is wild Up the stakes like the first game. This is the Green Goblin we’re talking about here. Another issue with the sequel was the lack of consequences. Since they seem to be moving in the direction of switching to Miles, if they were to kill Peter off it needs to be well done. Honorable and sentimental
Actually for SM2 they had few writers from the first one, Miles Morales, and Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart. SM2 did have consequences but not personal consequences
@@arinhossain2100 what I didn't like is that the 3rd act (symbiote invasion) felt dramatic for the sake of having a dramatic 3rd act. though im sure if the game got a more reasonable development time, it would've felt much more impactful (idk if thats a word)
And Miles' new suit... needs to go, bro. It's ugly as hell and I hope the designers realize what the fans dislike. It's getting too much hate. And for his new toothpaste suit to appear in the whole 3rd game; it won't end well with fans. This could also be a bit judgy or rude but in my opinion, I feel like the gay/lesbian inclusivity is a bit too pushy in the franchise. Like I get it, it's to raise awareness but seriously? Black cat is lesbian, pride flags all over the city, side mission where Peter is called "the great electric spider." We get it. No disrespect to that group, though. Live your life but inclusivity isnt the answer.
2 had a lot of plot lines that was a lot to juggle Peter’s black suit story arc Kraven Harry’s decline into Venom Miles wanting revenge against Li Venom crisis And third game doesn’t seem much better in this regard. Otto is coming back, Norman is becoming Green Goblin, the presence of Carnage may have the creature play an active role in 3 either as Carnage or Red Goblin. Silk is going to come into the fold and we don’t know what character arcs Miles and Peter will go on. I think personally they need to devote all efforts to wolverine and then focus in on adding dlc content for Spider-Man 2 and then take their time for 3. I think Insomiac has been juggling too many balls they need to refocus their efforts on one thing at a time.
Since they are making a third game, let the main focus be Peter Parker. Give Mj back her old look from the first game. Less Miles in the game and more web gadgets 🕸️.

Dear Sony, PLEASE DON’T RUSH INSOMNIAC!!! Let them take their time!!! I’d also say that more than ANYTHING, Spider-Man 3 needs to establish Green Goblin as Peter’s most personal foe! He needs to do something HORRIFIC to him! Whether that’s killing someone he cares about, or something just as bad! As long as Sony lets Insomniac cook instead of rushing them, the series could end with a bang, or in this case a THWIP!!

Sony gave them 5 years and 300 million budget. Insomniac needs to kill their darlings (it's a saying in writing) from time to time, but now they are going for three protagonists and that can get really messy. If they want to do Silk, they should give her a solo game first because they could seriously be pushing themselves here and the game will suffer for it.
@@arinhossain2100 I still think Spider-Man 2 was fantastic, and I loved it’s story, but there were a couple areas in the third act that could’ve been stretched out a bit. If Venom does in fact get his own game, I think whatever problems people had with the “rushed Venom arc” will be forgiven. My biggest concern is how they’re going to balance Green Goblin with Doc Ock, as well as give the story they’ve told so far a fitting conclusion! They’ve been building to the Goblin since the first game, and according to Brian Intihar, it was always his plan (even before the first game came out) to have a scene between Norman and Otto in the Raft at the end of a potential second game. So maybe they know what they’re doing there, but Green Goblin better be a GREAT villain!! And I hope he doesn’t just appear in the final act like Ock and Venom!

I totally agree with you that they better do something different with Green Goblin like have him appear more earlier since he is already have been getting build up. Change the structure.

You should be worried. They were barely able to handle the plot threads in this game with two spider-men. People stated that the length of the game was the same as the first one. But that’s the issue. We now have TWO protagonists. The amount of time should be nearly doubled to accommodate, otherwise it feels super rushed. SM2 had so much going for it in terms of plot but dropped the ball and gave us something incredibly mediocre compared to the previous games compelling story. We need more people to criticize and reflect, in order for Insomniac to learn and improve and give us something truly greater.
Marvel's Spider Man 2 story is objectively great not perfect. Not all stories has to be perfect. It's a better story then Miles Morales. Way better then your invalid mediocre. But am I saying that SM2 has 0 criticism? No because all 3 games has their fair share of criticisms but great games

There's evidence shown via leaks which are the stuff with Venom being cut. Miles didn't defeat Harry, he was saved by MJ. Peter at the end beated him by final blowing him with Anti Venom power as Harry says "Now Pete".

Goblin killing MJ. Can be a good idea because as us players we didn’t like her its a known thing of the whole game franchise that players dont like MJ. But to have her develop more in Spiderman 3 with no missions where she finally becomes like able, and just when players start to actually care and like MJ. They kill her, that would hit pretty hard

I think another side game is a great idea actually to make sure the narrative in 3 feels tight and has closure. Also 5 Spidey games seems like they would have zero regrets afterward I mean 3 main lines and 2 in betweens is a long time to spend with a franchise.
I am also a little worried for Spider-Man 3. They’ve got a lot to balance out, and I hope they do a good job, but that doesn’t make me any less worried. They definitely need a spin-off game or two to help juggle all the things they want to tackle (mostly looking at Cindy). I also think that they shouldn’t do what they did in the first game and the second game, and that’s have a less-well known villain take center stage for the first two halves of the game and then have Green Goblin take over in the last half. Instead, they should have Goblin be at the forefront as soon as possible and have him be the main villain throughout the most of the entirety of the game. I’m also worried because I’m afraid that Pete is going to die, and I really don’t want that. I just want the boy to be happy. Hopefully, Insomniac makes Spider-Man 3 a great game.
Not really possibly because in between SM2 and SM3 we could get more games like Venom spin off, Miles Morales 2 and Silk spin off. I agree with your 2nd point of Green Goblin being the villain for the entirety of SM3. It makes sense since the first 2 games has been building up Norman to become Green Goblin so not a lot of build up left to do. But don't forget Doc Ock is teases so he could return as well. Maybe as a side villain or a secondary villain. I doubt Peter would die since he's the last Parker family member left. He shall have a happy ending.
Because of the deeply personal relationship that Norman and Peter have, and with Green Goblin historically being Spider-Man's greatest nemesis, AND with the return of Otto Octavius, I think Miles needs to take a back seat in Spider-Man 3, maybe even have him off to college or something. Considering how rushed and busy the story was in Spider-Man 2 and how that affected the emotional impact of the story, the last thing they should do is have TOO MANY characters that need fleshed out in the third game. Silk Moon, Miles...they should be in the background so that the writers can focus on Peter's story, especially if they are planning on retiring him and having Miles take over (which I disagree with, but whatever). So Peter needs a proper send off, and I don't believe they can do that if they have multiple Spider-Men present in the game
They should take their time for SpiderMan 3, maybe release some side games here and there and release the game to be elite. (Side Games: Wolverine, Venom Lethal Protector, and possibly Silk.)
Im honestly worried for more than just Cindy being brought into the mix. Peter has Anti-Venom, and if he's keeping it in MSM3 that'd mean Goblin would need a power up which means he'd becomes Ultimate Goblin which i dont think many people want. Theres Carnage out there too and I doubt they're gonna do much with that character in a DLC if Venom is getting a game. So now they have to figure out how they're going to handle getting rid of Anti-Venom and Carnage while also having Cindy Moon joining in. Plus Im sure Insomniac knows nobody really loves the new evolved suit Miles is wearing so they have that to worry about too. And if Spider-Man 3 ends up ALSO being a 15 hour story, then Cindy better not be a Spider-person yet. Cause that would mean Insom needs to focus on 3 characters and 2 main villains which only share hatred for one of those characters, in a 15 hour story. And i didn't even mention the fact that they're working on 2 or more games at the moment. They got alot to do.
Give some exclusive moveset and style actions and upper dpad function for all 4 spiders and venom to differentiate them from one another. If they play it safe again and with the same moveset it will be boring
i felt nothing playing spiderman 2 which sucks because the first one was so good and like many others i cried at the end of it. that game had a very good story
My concerns are that considering this is the final chapter and it’s Goblin and Doc Ock, hope it more like the first game, focused on Peter considering its most likely Peter’s final MAIN game, love Miles but now with Miles AND Cindy, for the final “chapter” hope it mainly focuses on Peter... Another thing don’t retire Peter, doesn’t make sense, first cuz he’s still young and second cuz he would/could never do it, Peter Parker could never retire as long as he has his powers and can still be Spider-Man, even if Miles/Cindy would be out there he would always feel the responsibility to be Spider-Man

Unless there's a dlc or a stand-alone smaller that does this, I think we'll start as Cindy in the third game, doing basic crime investigation and small interventions. We might see Miles looking that situation from afar and one night Cindy gets into something big, Miles jumps in and does the whole mentoring thing. Halfway through they get Peter involved, pull him out of retirement and there's no MJ missions because she's pregnant, so we still have a 3 main protagonists situation. Not worried about Insomniac, even if SM2 wasn't a homerun for everyone, it was still a fantastic game and a huge improvement over the first one. And I think they'll make the adjustment to let the story linger and marinate a bit more, like SM1 and SM:MM did.
Maybe the third game should be rushed a bit. With the second they added a bunch of crap. Bots, bees, bikes, graffiti, basketball, theme park, shooting, and waiting around listening. I don’t think they should spend time on that while making less content for the guys the game is named after. Maybe insomniac works better under pressure, but who knows with their priorities they might focus entirely on improving the MJ gameplay.
Insomniac still needs to fix a few bugs in Spider-Man 2... then it will be polished enough. the big issues I think that need fixing are suit textures distorting during certain swinging animations, and the TASM2 suit feet need to be fixed. what do you think, Evan?
I'l never understand how this game felt rushed when they had 5 years and a huge budget, to be honest i would prefer this game focus on Peter, why would i care about Miles having this so much story about Peter. Miles stand up so much in this game because they made Peter look like a noob in every aspect, even when in the first game my boy was a GOAT. We need it more time on the second act of the game, the symbiote goes way to fast and we didn't got to see nothing like really amazing, and the third act its way to rush, they try to make a web of shadows, but WOS did it better, the powers and the habilities here they really lacked and the story one minute you have a couple of symbiotes here and there and suddenly voila welcome to slime city, i hope they really stepped up their game because in a lot of aspects they haven't been really clear and in some way unrespectful to the fan base.
I'm definitely worried about them including Cindy. In Spider-Man 2 I feel like they had a hard time fitting Miles into the main story, so him fighting Harry just felt off because they had a small interaction at Coney Island, and one phone call. They could've done so much more with those two characters because They both have something in common in that they lost a parent. After hunt to live live to hunt every once in a while Harry will join you on crimes, but that's not the same thing as story development between Miles and Harry. I feel the emotional impact when Peter fights him, but when I fight him as Miles I just feel like it's something I have to get done. There is no emotional impact whatsoever. Miles's story with Mr. negative connected to Peter's, but because Miles and Harry had barely any interaction those two stories didn't have a chance to connect in a way that would make sense. I'm super excited for Spider-Man three because green goblin and Doc Ock are my two favorite Spider-Man villains, but Miles has nothing to do with either of them. I will honestly be angry if I have to fight them as Miles alone! If he helps Peter as an AI then fine, but I do not want to fight especially Otto as Miles and Miles alone! Green goblin I could maybe see fighting as Miles because I think Norman blames both of them for ruining his son, but I want to do it primarily as Peter! The third game is really seeming to be a Peter game, so where would Miles and Cindy fit in? I'm very nervous about them trying to fit three spider people into one game, because they could barely balance out too. Do I love Peter with all my heart and love that he was the forefront of Spider-Man 2's story? Absolutely, but then Miles just feels out of place towards the end. I know for a fact Peter is going to be the forefront of Spider-Man three because of Otto, Norman, Carnage, and chameleon. Yes you can do the unidentified targets as miles as well, but Peter is the one who has a history with chameleon. When Miles realizes it's chameleon it's so bland, but you can tell Peter has had a history because of the inflection in his voice. also in one of the side missions in the first game he worries that a fake Spider-Man is chameleon pretending to be him again. I will support insomniac until the day I die, but I am definitely worried about the balance. I don't know if I would want a Cindy Solo game, but I think that's just because I don't know anything about her. I honestly hope she's just an Easter egg and Will be around with Miles's family since she's probably going to be Miles's stepsister. I know at one point Brian said part of the reason Spider-Man 2 is called Spider-Man 2 is because there are two Spider-Men so it would make sense for Cindy to be a third, but I would rather Harry be the third hero. He may not be Spider-Man, but we've had so much more character development in the first and second games with Harry, so it would make more sense. Maybe Peter will give anti-venom to Harry, and then they can truly be spider pals! Only time will tell, and regardless I'm super excited for Spider-Man three!!!! #InInsomniacWeTrust 😁❤️💙🕷️🕸️
They should make a sequel to the Miles Morales game and give him and Silk a brother-sister relationship like he and Phin had. This would be a great way for him to heal after her death, and give her the space they need to develop her character so she’s not shoehorned into Spider-Man 3. If they try the lattter, it will just drag down the story because they would either have to leave her as an underdeveloped character or take time away from Doc Ock and Green Goblin (which would be a far worse option imo) If they’re not gonna make a SM: Miles Morales 2, then they should develop her character in the DLC. With Peter temporarily retired, it would be a great opportunity to make Miles the mentor to another Spidey-bro
in my opinion, instead of releasing spiderman 3 right away, they should first make a game about pete’s early days in high school fighting villains like rhino and kingpin
I really hope they make a bigger story, having 3 main characters with the same 10/12 hours campaign it's not going to work, I don't want what happened with Venom to happen with Green Goblin, seeing Green Goblin as the main villain for just the last 4 missions of the game would be kinda frustrating!
Insomniac should put SM3 in the oven for a bit and make 2 more games, one for venom and one for Silk, release SM3 after 2030 if necessary to make these 2 games, otherwise SM3 will be too crowded like SM2 was.

I’ve been thinking about this for the longest of time but I really think Insomniac should make a Miles Morales Sequel game to go alongside the Venom Game. Mainly because if you remember the one of ending post credits scenes you”ll remember that Peter did say that he wanted a break from Spider - Man to make a family with MJ and Miles did step up to him and said “I got this all of it” That ending is perfect opportunity for a Miles Morales Sequel to the original Spinoff game and on top of all that when you’re playing as Miles in Spider - Man 2 you will notice that there is still some left over Underground tech this could be an opportunity for Insomniac to bring the Underground and possibly with a new Tinkerer leader since Phin is dead and is no longer in the franchise it would make since for the underground to return or possibly even have a new team for Miles to go up against! The possibilities are endless and this is a really good opportunity!
Depends how long Peter’s break was. I won’t count it since gameplay isn’t always canonical. After all Spider-Man eating shit on the pavement cause it’s funny isn’t part of the story. You can switch immediately back to Peter once you finish the game. Which would make it seem like a week break or something. I don’t mind them writing it as a couple months though so we can get that Miles sequel. A reborn underground would be sick. Kind of like the first game had with all the villains after Kingpin was arrested.
I hope they developed their gameplay through other games leading up to sm3, I think a lot of us were hoping that sm2 would’ve had a much larger jump and “overhaul” in its gameplay, and I think that instead of making that huge jump in sm3 we can instead get it in the form of gradual improvements with mechanics and features with games like Wolverine, a potential miles and or venom game etc. so that all of these introduced mechanics culminated in these games can be introduced for the third one so that it will feel less like it didn’t switch up much
For 1 I really hope Sony doesn’t rush them.and for 2 let’s remember Peter is taking a break from being Spider-Man so I would like Spider-Man miles morales 2 and in that game silk gets her power and then she gets her own game and then the final chapter of Spider-Man 3.
Did you forget they’ve already said that the Wolverine game takes place in the same universe? 3 could only be their “End Game” if it comes out on next gen because they have Wolverine, and the solo Venom game to do before SM3. Just my assumption.
If we were to get another Spider-Man story that includes multiple spider characters (but not with multiverses) in a more mainstream medium… just saying I’d love a well written Spider-Man show. In my taste, a pretty gritty one in live action.
I think Insomniac Games will release another game, which is set between Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Marvel's Spider-Man 3. So I'm thinking about Spider-Man: Miles Morales 2. At the beginning Insomniac Games, if I remember correctly, affirmed that Miles would be the main character in the future of the franchise and, as a consequence, there could be a sequel of the first game of Miles Morales and then a part of Marvel's Spider-Man 3, in which Miles is the protagonist. Peter, somehow, will return as Spider-Man since the saga has Peter as the main protagonist. In addition we mustn't forget that there are some strong enemies who are emerging, such as Green Goblin. It could be a difficult challenge for Miles defeating him by himself.
Here’s what I realized a long time ago so Spider-Man PS4 only had 1 playable Spider-Man Spider-Man 2 had 2 playable Spider-Men with Miles and Peter and Spider-Man 3 will have 3 playable Spider heroes with Cindy Peter and Miles (only if Peter is playable in Spider-Man 3)and if what Brian mentioned about the first game is Insoniac’s Iron Man 2008 the second game being an Insomniac verison of an MCU Captain America movie and the Final chapter will be insomniac’s Avengers Endgame
Would you like to see a Director's cut for Spider-Man 2 Evan? Wanna know your thoughts on it. I know Insomniac is busy with Wolverine and the hacks that happened and probably Spider-Man 2 's DLC. But somewhere down the line it would be great to see it cuz of all the rushed storyline. In my opinion they should solely focus on Peter for the next game. Spider Man 2 was kinda balanced story wise but it had it's issues, though not big. So if they could almost balance 2 characters, 3 will be way too much. And given that Pete may retire or die in the next outing plus Ock is coming back, focusing on Peter alone will pay off the first game and give Pete a proper send-off. This NEEDS to be done right and cannot be squandered for the sake of showing off every character. Give Miles and Silk their own games and sequels since they're here to stay🙏
I really want them to give us 3 Spin Ofs before 3. Miles Morales 2, that focuses on Miles and Silk. Venom, that introduces Eddie Brock and advances the Carnage story. Year One, that shows us Peters origin and early days fighting crime in New York and working at the Bugle.
After how Marvel Spider-Man 2 ended, I thought it's pretty clear we're getting Miles Morales 2. Miles told Peter to take a break, and he said "sure, I'll do it" and so he did. SM:MM2 Will probably have switch character gameplay like SM2, Where Cindy perhaps maintain the Symbiote's Gameplay because she has Organic webbing. So by the time SM3 comes around, all 3 are caught up
I hope Spider-Man 3 takes it time I’ll gladly wait. Spider-Man 2 post hype is solid but major rushed towards the end. No dlc inknow they got hacked but it’s not really much to do. Peter rogue gallery got unalived off screen so no one to go after fight or stop.

Absolutely not. Peter in SM2 is still the same as always, no change. Miles is the main Spider Man for now not for Spider Man 3 because Peter shall take front focus since Green Goblin is Peter's deal mostly. I think Cindy Moon's dad may actually be Chameleon who was an easter egg in the side mission with missing persons, which I think would really cause issues and dramatic tension for danger for both the Morales family household and Cindy Moon potentially if her dad happened to be missing or taken out by Chameleon all in order to get close to Miles and extension Peter. As in the comics Chameleon killed Peter's parents. Just a theory of mine since completing the game.

It seems that the BIG villains of Spider-Man’s comic book history are representing each of the games. Like Arkham, I believe that we will get 4 Spider-Man games: 1) Spider-Man 1: sinister six .. 1st team composed of villains vs a hero in comic book history….. then the Rogues copied that for Flash 2) Spider-Man 2: Venom/Carnage … the 2nd ultimate villain for Peter Parker Spider-Man was the symbiote stuff that came out of SECRET WARS. The symbiote stuff historically was VERY profitable for MARVEL when it came out originally and still is. 3) spiderman 3: ….. SPIDER-VERSE. Nico Minoru used a wand that could open dimensions AND we got Silk at the end AND we have Miles Morales FULLY established as a Robin to his Batman. These are signs that the next BIG villain will be a spiderverse related thing. It’s one of the BIG comic book events from Spider-Man’s comic book history. Seeing interesting variants would be the coolest cash grab EVER by SONY. Hopefully we can play as Green Goblin and follow his story AND Spider-Man’s and his variants! 4) Spider-Man 4: obviously we know what this is…. GREEN GOBLIN. Arguably his BIGGEST villain in his whole comic book history. He KILLED Gwen Stacy, his “girlfriend” at the time. He may KILL MJ to make it make sense for this universe and then Spider-Man meets Gwen Stacy … maybe in Spider-Man 3 to make it make sense for her death in Spider-Man 4. In Spider-Man 3 it could be shown that Gwen Stacy is killed by Green Goblin in OTHER universes so maybe Peter tries to save her but MJ gets killed and she obviously falls in love for him.
I don’t think this will be the end of the franchise, I think we’ll probably get some silk and miles games, maybe jus no more Peter or he jus has more of side role in the future games. I do hope they won’t be rushed this time around tho, I don’t think they will since spiderman 3 most likely will be on the ps6.
My prediction is Cindy will just be there for miles to mentor, she won’t get bit until the very end like miles did in SM1. Peter will most likely die fighting goblin and miles will take everything Peter taught him and will train Cindy. I think it will then get continued in miles focused games later on

Silk is my only favorite female spiders, and i hope she gets her own Spider-Man game before or after Spiderman 3. insomniac can make Miles Morales 2 so silk can have character development, but idk if fans want to see her get bit as we already saw Miles but they can be creative. later, for Spider-Man 3, she can already be a spider, like miles on his own game but she has a better grasp on her side so it won't feel like a copy and paste of Morales. then for her own game, she can fight with one of her own villians from the comics. My theory is that Otto will escape from the raft and he will reveal the identity of Peter as Spider-Man. And eventually they might kill off Peter in the game
hoping we get a game in between spiderman 2 and 3 so it 1.) gives us more set up for its grand finally, and 2.) gives insomniac even more time. 2026 "2.5 game" + another 2 2-3 years for spiderman 3
One of my speculations is that peter probably won't be fully until the latter end of spiderman 3. Where green goblin and otto are seemingly working together and peter has no choice but to dawn suit to help silk and miles with defeating them or anyone else in the fray
My biggest gripe is that people think he’s retired. I swear he’s not. Everyone who says he is hasn’t switched back to Peter after beating the game. He essentially says “good to be back from the break” or something along those lines.

Mechnically the game is perfect and you can tell they spent months smoothing it out and making it the best they could but with how they've been outsourcing their writing and ideas to other companies like Sweet Baby that likely caused some narrative confusion and didn't have enough time to truly identify the strong and weak parts of the adive they received.

Which of course Sony pressured them that's why Venom stuff in the third act was cut as well as 90% of Tony Todd's voice for Venom. Not to mention the gameplay even had destructive environments. That would have made the gameplay experience more immersive. Story is solid but could have been better, same goes to gameplay (I know it's great but just saying).
I see where you're coming from but Sweet Baby Inc doesn't write stories. The writers have been part of Insomniac as they have previously worked on SM1, Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart. Not really any new writers. Sweet Baby Inc only implemented the agenda stuff for side missions only which are optional so just simply don't do them, simple. You're in the right track though.

This comes down to making bad choices, but content wasn’t cut for the sole purpose of MJ missions.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think Insomniac would maximize their story if they focus the game on Peter. Not saying that Miles or Cindi shouldn’t be in the game, but I think they would be better as side characters. Similar to how Arkham Knight includes other playable characters around Batman, but they don’t get in the way of his story.
I mean Miles was kinda a side character in SM2 so maybe they can continue that. Plus SM2 focused more on Peter.

Don’t reinvent the wheel for combat and traversal. Just find a way to greatly enhance what’s there & add on to it.
Less suits, but the most desired suits with MORE detail.
A fun DLC to celebrate the Trilogy.
Imagine they keep the current gadget wheel but add more gadgets to select from that have different purposes(combat, stealth, and-most importantly saving people). I think introducing gadgets that are tailored more towards things like putting out fires, a web net to catch crashing cars (or falling civilians), things like that would add so much to the most overlooked facet of being Spider-Man and that's ACTIVELY SAVING PEOPLE. Combat and swinging is cool and all but I think that's the third component that needs more love outside of mission-locked QTEs.

I mean they don’t have to….but they might as well. The Arkham franchise was fortunate because prior, there wasn’t any AAA open world Batman games.
If they make a venom game and it takes place in NY/same sandbox, & Spider-Man 3 is the same sandbox.. people will be exhausted with the franchise.

They need to bring back the head writer from the first game and Miles Morales. Don’t know why he didn’t write Spider-Man 2. Switching up your writers in the middle of a franchise isn’t a smart move.
For the third game, they need to cut out these slow, walkie talkie type missions. Those missions are a major reason of why the game fell flat.

Otto is coming back, Norman is becoming Green Goblin, the presence of Carnage may have the creature play an active role in 3 either as Carnage or Red Goblin. Silk is going to come into the fold and we don’t know what character arcs Miles and Peter will go on. I think personally they need to devote all efforts to wolverine and then focus in on adding dlc content for Spider-Man 2 and then take their time for 3. I think Insomiac has been juggling too many balls they need to refocus their efforts on one thing at a time.
We don’t know if Otto is coming back tbh, he may play a role in the story but can still be in prison.

If Venom does in fact get his own game, I think whatever problems people had with the “rushed Venom arc” will be forgiven. My biggest concern is how they’re going to balance Green Goblin with Doc Ock, as well as give the story they’ve told so far a fitting conclusion! They’ve been building to the Goblin since the first game, and according to Brian Intihar, it was always his plan (even before the first game came out) to have a scene between Norman and Otto in the Raft at the end of a potential second game. So maybe they know what they’re doing there, but Green Goblin better be a GREAT villain!! And I hope he doesn’t just appear in the final act like Ock and Venom!

You should be worried. They were barely able to handle the plot threads in this game with two spider-men.
People stated that the length of the game was the same as the first one. But that’s the issue. We now have TWO protagonists. The amount of time should be nearly doubled to accommodate, otherwise it feels super rushed. SM2 had so much going for it in terms of plot but dropped the ball and gave us something incredibly mediocre compared to the previous games compelling story.
We need more people to criticize and reflect, in order for Insomniac to learn and improve and give us something truly greater.
Marvel's Spider Man 2 story is objectively great not perfect. Not all stories has to be perfect. It's a better story then Miles Morales. Way better then your invalid mediocre. But am I saying that SM2 has 0 criticism? No because all 3 games has their fair share of criticisms but great games

There's evidence shown via leaks which are the stuff with Venom being cut. Miles didn't defeat Harry, he was saved by MJ. Peter at the end beated him by final blowing him with Anti Venom power as Harry says "Now Pete".

Goblin killing MJ. Can be a good idea because as us players we didn’t like her its a known thing of the whole game franchise that players dont like MJ. But to have her develop more in Spiderman 3 with no missions where she finally becomes like able, and just when players start to actually care and like MJ. They kill her, that would hit pretty hard

I think another side game is a great idea actually to make sure the narrative in 3 feels tight and has closure. Also 5 Spidey games seems like they would have zero regrets afterward I mean 3 main lines and 2 in betweens is a long time to spend with a franchise.
I am also a little worried for Spider-Man 3. They’ve got a lot to balance out, and I hope they do a good job, but that doesn’t make me any less worried.
They definitely need a spin-off game or two to help juggle all the things they want to tackle (mostly looking at Cindy).
I also think that they shouldn’t do what they did in the first game and the second game, and that’s have a less-well known villain take center stage for the first two halves of the game and then have Green Goblin take over in the last half. Instead, they should have Goblin be at the forefront as soon as possible and have him be the main villain throughout the most of the entirety of the game.
I’m also worried because I’m afraid that Pete is going to die, and I really don’t want that. I just want the boy to be happy.

I agree with your 2nd point of Green Goblin being the villain for the entirety of SM3. It makes sense since the first 2 games has been building up Norman to become Green Goblin so not a lot of build up left to do. But don't forget Doc Ock is teases so he could return as well. Maybe as a side villain or a secondary villain.
I doubt Peter would die since he's the last Parker family member left. He shall have a happy ending.
Because of the deeply personal relationship that Norman and Peter have, and with Green Goblin historically being Spider-Man's greatest nemesis, AND with the return of Otto Octavius, I think Miles needs to take a back seat in Spider-Man 3, maybe even have him off to college or something. Considering how rushed and busy the story was in Spider-Man 2 and how that affected the emotional impact of the story, the last thing they should do is have TOO MANY characters that need fleshed out in the third game. Silk Moon, Miles...they should be in the background so that the writers can focus on Peter's story, especially if they are planning on retiring him and having Miles take over (which I disagree with, but whatever). So Peter needs a proper send off, and I don't believe they can do that if they have multiple Spider-Men present in the game
They should take their time for SpiderMan 3, maybe release some side games here and there and release the game to be elite. (Side Games: Wolverine, Venom Lethal Protector, and possibly Silk.)
Im honestly worried for more than just Cindy being brought into the mix. Peter has Anti-Venom, and if he's keeping it in MSM3 that'd mean Goblin would need a power up which means he'd becomes Ultimate Goblin which i dont think many people want. Theres Carnage out there too and I doubt they're gonna do much with that character in a DLC if Venom is getting a game. So now they have to figure out how they're going to handle getting rid of Anti-Venom and Carnage while also having Cindy Moon joining in. Plus Im sure Insomniac knows nobody really loves the new evolved suit Miles is wearing so they have that to worry about too. And if Spider-Man 3 ends up ALSO being a 15 hour story, then Cindy better not be a Spider-person yet. Cause that would mean Insom needs to focus on 3 characters and 2 main villains which only share hatred for one of those characters, in a 15 hour story. And i didn't even mention the fact that they're working on 2 or more games at the moment. They got alot to do.
Carnage will be in SM2 DLC and return in Venom spin off game according to leaks. So it seems like Carnage may not appear in SM3

Another thing don’t retire Peter, doesn’t make sense, first cuz he’s still young and second cuz he would/could never do it, Peter Parker could never retire as long as he has his powers and can still be Spider-Man, even if Miles/Cindy would be out there he would always feel the responsibility to be Spider-Man

Unless there's a dlc or a stand-alone smaller that does this, I think we'll start as Cindy in the third game, doing basic crime investigation and small interventions. We might see Miles looking that situation from afar and one night Cindy gets into something big, Miles jumps in and does the whole mentoring thing. Halfway through they get Peter involved, pull him out of retirement and there's no MJ missions because she's pregnant, so we still have a 3 main protagonists situation.
Not worried about Insomniac, even if SM2 wasn't a homerun for everyone, it was still a fantastic game and a huge improvement over the first one. And I think they'll make the adjustment to let the story linger and marinate a bit more, like SM1 and SM:MM did.
Maybe the third game should be rushed a bit. With the second they added a bunch of crap. Bots, bees, bikes, graffiti, basketball, theme park, shooting, and waiting around listening. I don’t think they should spend time on that while making less content for the guys the game is named after. Maybe insomniac works better under pressure, but who knows with their priorities they might focus entirely on improving the MJ gameplay.
Insomniac still needs to fix a few bugs in Spider-Man 2... then it will be polished enough. the big issues I think that need fixing are suit textures distorting during certain swinging animations, and the TASM2 suit feet need to be fixed. what do you think, Evan?
I'l never understand how this game felt rushed when they had 5 years and a huge budget, to be honest i would prefer this game focus on Peter, why would i care about Miles having this so much story about Peter. Miles stand up so much in this game because they made Peter look like a noob in every aspect, even when in the first game my boy was a GOAT. We need it more time on the second act of the game, the symbiote goes way to fast and we didn't got to see nothing like really amazing, and the third act its way to rush, they try to make a web of shadows, but WOS did it better, the powers and the habilities here they really lacked and the story one minute you have a couple of symbiotes here and there and suddenly voila welcome to slime city, i hope they really stepped up their game because in a lot of aspects they haven't been really clear and in some way unrespectful to the fan base.
Take their time to cook and don’t rush. One thing it 100% they absolutely need to include is better side missions with more villains.

I'm definitely worried about them including Cindy. In Spider-Man 2 I feel like they had a hard time fitting Miles into the main story, so him fighting Harry just felt off because they had a small interaction at Coney Island, and one phone call. They could've done so much more with those two characters because They both have something in common in that they lost a parent. After hunt to live live to hunt every once in a while Harry will join you on crimes, but that's not the same thing as story development between Miles and Harry. I feel the emotional impact when Peter fights him, but when I fight him as Miles I just feel like it's something I have to get done. There is no emotional impact whatsoever. Miles's story with Mr. negative connected to Peter's, but because Miles and Harry had barely any interaction those two stories didn't have a chance to connect in a way that would make sense. I'm super excited for Spider-Man three because green goblin and Doc Ock are my two favorite Spider-Man villains, but Miles has nothing to do with either of them. I will honestly be angry if I have to fight them as Miles alone! If he helps Peter as an AI then fine, but I do not want to fight especially Otto as Miles and Miles alone! Green goblin I could maybe see fighting as Miles because I think Norman blames both of them for ruining his son, but I want to do it primarily as Peter! The third game is really seeming to be a Peter game, so where would Miles and Cindy fit in? I'm very nervous about them trying to fit three spider people into one game, because they could barely balance out too. Do I love Peter with all my heart and love that he was the forefront of Spider-Man 2's story? Absolutely, but then Miles just feels out of place towards the end. I know for a fact Peter is going to be the forefront of Spider-Man three because of Otto, Norman, Carnage, and chameleon. Yes you can do the unidentified targets as miles as well, but Peter is the one who has a history with chameleon. When Miles realizes it's chameleon it's so bland, but you can tell Peter has had a history because of the inflection in his voice. also in one of the side missions in the first game he worries that a fake Spider-Man is chameleon pretending to be him again. I will support insomniac until the day I die, but I am definitely worried about the balance. I don't know if I would want a Cindy Solo game, but I think that's just because I don't know anything about her. I honestly hope she's just an Easter egg and Will be around with Miles's family since she's probably going to be Miles's stepsister. I know at one point Brian said part of the reason Spider-Man 2 is called Spider-Man 2 is because there are two Spider-Men so it would make sense for Cindy to be a third, but I would rather Harry be the third hero. He may not be Spider-Man, but we've had so much more character development in the first and second games with Harry, so it would make more sense. Maybe Peter will give anti-venom to Harry, and then they can truly be spider pals! Only time will tell, and regardless I'm super excited for Spider-Man three!!!! #InInsomniacWeTrust 😁❤️💙🕷️🕸️

They should make a sequel to the Miles Morales game and give him and Silk a brother-sister relationship like he and Phin had. This would be a great way for him to heal after her death, and give her the space they need to develop her character so she’s not shoehorned into Spider-Man 3. If they try the lattter, it will just drag down the story because they would either have to leave her as an underdeveloped character or take time away from Doc Ock and Green Goblin (which would be a far worse option imo)
If they’re not gonna make a SM: Miles Morales 2, then they should develop her character in the DLC. With Peter temporarily retired, it would be a great opportunity to make Miles the mentor to another Spidey-bro

I’ve been thinking about this for the longest of time but I really think Insomniac should make a Miles Morales Sequel game to go alongside the Venom Game. Mainly because if you remember the one of ending post credits scenes you”ll remember that Peter did say that he wanted a break from Spider - Man to make a family with MJ and Miles did step up to him and said “I got this all of it” That ending is perfect opportunity for a Miles Morales Sequel to the original Spinoff game and on top of all that when you’re playing as Miles in Spider - Man 2 you will notice that there is still some left over Underground tech this could be an opportunity for Insomniac to bring the Underground and possibly with a new Tinkerer leader since Phin is dead and is no longer in the franchise it would make since for the underground to return or possibly even have a new team for Miles to go up against! The possibilities are endless and this is a really good opportunity!
Depends how long Peter’s break was. I won’t count it since gameplay isn’t always canonical. After all Spider-Man eating shit on the pavement cause it’s funny isn’t part of the story.
You can switch immediately back to Peter once you finish the game. Which would make it seem like a week break or something.
I don’t mind them writing it as a couple months though so we can get that Miles sequel. A reborn underground would be sick. Kind of like the first game had with all the villains after Kingpin was arrested.
I hope they developed their gameplay through other games leading up to sm3, I think a lot of us were hoping that sm2 would’ve had a much larger jump and “overhaul” in its gameplay, and I think that instead of making that huge jump in sm3 we can instead get it in the form of gradual improvements with mechanics and features with games like Wolverine, a potential miles and or venom game etc. so that all of these introduced mechanics culminated in these games can be introduced for the third one so that it will feel less like it didn’t switch up much

Did you forget they’ve already said that the Wolverine game takes place in the same universe? 3 could only be their “End Game” if it comes out on next gen because they have Wolverine, and the solo Venom game to do before SM3. Just my assumption.

I think Insomniac Games will release another game, which is set between Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Marvel's Spider-Man 3. So I'm thinking about Spider-Man: Miles Morales 2.
At the beginning Insomniac Games, if I remember correctly, affirmed that Miles would be the main character in the future of the franchise and, as a consequence, there could be a sequel of the first game of Miles Morales and then a part of Marvel's Spider-Man 3, in which Miles is the protagonist. Peter, somehow, will return as Spider-Man since the saga has Peter as the main protagonist. In addition we mustn't forget that there are some strong enemies who are emerging, such as Green Goblin. It could be a difficult challenge for Miles defeating him by himself.

Here’s what I realized a long time ago so Spider-Man PS4 only had 1 playable Spider-Man Spider-Man 2 had 2 playable Spider-Men with Miles and Peter and Spider-Man 3 will have 3 playable Spider heroes with Cindy Peter and Miles (only if Peter is playable in Spider-Man 3)and if what Brian mentioned about the first game is Insoniac’s Iron Man 2008 the second game being an Insomniac verison of an MCU Captain America movie and the Final chapter will be insomniac’s Avengers Endgame

In my opinion they should solely focus on Peter for the next game. Spider Man 2 was kinda balanced story wise but it had it's issues, though not big. So if they could almost balance 2 characters, 3 will be way too much. And given that Pete may retire or die in the next outing plus Ock is coming back, focusing on Peter alone will pay off the first game and give Pete a proper send-off. This NEEDS to be done right and cannot be squandered for the sake of showing off every character. Give Miles and Silk their own games and sequels since they're here to stay🙏

I think Cindy Moon's dad may actually be Chameleon who was an easter egg in the side mission with missing persons, which I think would really cause issues and dramatic tension for danger for both the Morales family household and Cindy Moon potentially if her dad happened to be missing or taken out by Chameleon all in order to get close to Miles and extension Peter. As in the comics Chameleon killed Peter's parents. Just a theory of mine since completing the game.

It seems that the BIG villains of Spider-Man’s comic book history are representing each of the games. Like Arkham, I believe that we will get 4 Spider-Man games:
1) Spider-Man 1: sinister six .. 1st team composed of villains vs a hero in comic book history….. then the Rogues copied that for Flash
2) Spider-Man 2: Venom/Carnage … the 2nd ultimate villain for Peter Parker Spider-Man was the symbiote stuff that came out of SECRET WARS. The symbiote stuff historically was VERY profitable for MARVEL when it came out originally and still is.
3) spiderman 3: ….. SPIDER-VERSE.
Nico Minoru used a wand that could open dimensions AND we got Silk at the end AND we have Miles Morales FULLY established as a Robin to his Batman. These are signs that the next BIG villain will be a spiderverse related thing. It’s one of the BIG comic book events from Spider-Man’s comic book history.
Seeing interesting variants would be the coolest cash grab EVER by SONY. Hopefully we can play as Green Goblin and follow his story AND Spider-Man’s and his variants!
4) Spider-Man 4: obviously we know what this is…. GREEN GOBLIN.
Arguably his BIGGEST villain in his whole comic book history. He KILLED Gwen Stacy, his “girlfriend” at the time.
He may KILL MJ to make it make sense for this universe and then Spider-Man meets Gwen Stacy … maybe in Spider-Man 3 to make it make sense for her death in Spider-Man 4.
In Spider-Man 3 it could be shown that Gwen Stacy is killed by Green Goblin in OTHER universes so maybe Peter tries to save her but MJ gets killed and she obviously falls in love for him.

My prediction is Cindy will just be there for miles to mentor, she won’t get bit until the very end like miles did in SM1. Silk is my only favorite female spiders, and i hope she gets her own Spider-Man game before or after Spiderman 3. insomniac can make Miles Morales 2 so silk can have character development, but idk if fans want to see her get bit as we already saw Miles but they can be creative. later, for Spider-Man 3, she can already be a spider, like miles on his own game but she has a better grasp on her side so it won't feel like a copy and paste of Morales. then for her own game, she can fight with one of her own villians from the comics. I could be wrong but I'm thinking they might make another Miles Morales type game for Silk, that way they can introduce that character while not trying to cram in too much in part 3. She'll already be an established character hopefully.

My theory is that Otto will escape from the raft and he will reveal the identity of Peter as Spider-Man. And eventually they might kill off Peter in the game
hoping we get a game in between spiderman 2 and 3 so it 1.) gives us more set up for its grand finally, and 2.) gives insomniac even more time. 2026 "2.5 game" + another 2 2-3 years for spiderman 3
Cindy needs her own Spider Woman or Spider Girl Game I would definitely play it.
One of my speculations is that peter probably won't be fully until the latter end of spiderman 3. Where green goblin and otto are seemingly working together and peter has no choice but to dawn suit to help silk and miles with defeating them or anyone else in the fray
Nah Peter shall have nearly the entire SM3 game fully focused. Green Goblin is Peter's deal mostly. So he should fight and defeat Green Goblin more
My biggest gripe is that people think he’s retired. I swear he’s not. Everyone who says he is hasn’t switched back to Peter after beating the game. He essentially says “good to be back from the break” or something along those lines.
