Don't forget your hatchet from Amazon, lol. I have the same one and yes that paint will take more then 2 burns, it was even lingering after the 3rd. I bought it for the ice shack and stunk me out even after the 3rd burn. I keep the rear draft vent open all the time to help the wood burn because it doesn't draft well due to the small diameter Exhaust pipe. But we didn't freeze to death so it was ok. You could stuff some Hot-dogs wrapped in tin foil in the side tubes. Enjoy the stove ,thanks for the video. Cheers.
I ended up buying a new camping axe, I can't for the life of me find the one that I put away last summer...lol! We're on the 3rd burn now and it still stinks so bad! I can't wait for that toxic smell to go away! Thanks for watching :)
I'd add a baffle across the top inside to slow the travel of the flame and retain more heat and burn up some of the smoke before it exits the exhaust pipe. That would make it a much better stove.
I find these little stoves work good for 2 days then smoke you out careful that little smoke stack is under rated. You will have to clean it pretty much every day or so. Maybe increase the stack size by 1" so you don't have to do this every day but once in a while?? Any build up of creosote and they will smoke you out i know because i woke up to a room full of smoke they cannot handle very much build up so be careful. I assume this for all these little stoves will be the same so next time i use my little stove i will have a coupling that at the start of the smoke stack it will be increased by 1" see how that goes hopefully I will feel safer and wake up in the morning 🙂
@@jasonsadventures8709 I bake a row of biscuits in each one, wrapped loosely in foil and each end plugged with foil. I've tried potatoes but it takes much longer. If you have a lot of time and fuel, put potatoes in them in the afternoon and have hot baked potatoes in the evening. Again, my roasting tubes are 3", a bit wider than these.
I've read that it's a protective oil to keep it in good shape while being sold. It burns off the first couple of burns. I burn it off outside before having it in an enclosed space.
Oh Princess Auto is the auto parts retail store that sells it. Every now and then, they put this stove on sale for less than $60 CAD. Most Canadian winter campers knows this stove by that name - Princess Auto Camping Stove. You can also find some similar types of stove from Amazon.
Just insane you would ever load the stove like that too much and you can exspect first time lite paint smell. I pray you never camp with it. YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING !!

Canadian tire should have 2.5 inch exhaust pipe bent and swedged to aim the sparks away from the tent.
Thanks Robert! They were out of stock so I ended up biting the bullet and bought it from Amazon for $37. We're trying it out this weekend :)
You're a natural!
Well let's just hope I don't burn us all during our actual winter camping! Lol!
Have this stove going to put larger diameter pipe so smoke doesn't come out door when I open it,I get smoked out of shed.
It’s bad when you have to have the door open 90% of the time for it to work and add a faithful spot them to add ability of air to the thing
I've got the TMS stove, it has larger roasting tubes.
Not rosting tubes. Support tubes for the cooking racks

Like to have one of these , what's the price for this
Is that paint burning off or oil (to protect from rust)?

Why is it called princess auto?

@@readyornotherewehike4471 haha! Thank you Rachel for clarifying.
How does it work? Is it for broiling only?
@@babethtanjuakio9822 - it's going to be our hot tent's heater and we can also cook our food on top of it using a cast iron pan/pot.
city ppl... shouldn't leave the city

I can't believe all the crap you have packed in your garage.
