I love how you took us on a journey with your steps - very creative I could almost taste and smell these burgers 🎉can't wait to make this with my children 😀
@@ThoseVeganChefsCan I use black lentils instead of red? I know black lentils retain their shape better. I’m not sure if they will change the taste or look of them.
We love Le Creuset skillets. They do have a lifetime guarantee. They are on the expensive side but you will use them forever☺ We have links on our website at the shop page. thoseveganchefs.com/shop/
Once the red lentils have been soaked for a few hours - after rinsing well - they really don’t need cooking for 10 minutes - if at all! Just blend the mixture to the consistency you want and proceed as given.
Hello - any suggestion for a binder if I can’t use bread crumbs? Maybe oat flour? I’m on a serious elimination diet to determine food allergies but craving a burger and can’t find a recipe without bread crumbs or nuts. Thanks! These look amazing ❤
We cooked them with oil although you could cook them in water if you follow an oil free diet. You can find the full recipe on our blog. thoseveganchefs.com/lentil-burgers/
We have 2 e-cookbooks. A vegan BBQ e-cookbook and a vegan holiday e-cookbook. You can find them on our website: thoseveganchefs.com/cookbooks/ Thanks for asking!

Question: Where can one source that *fantastic* heavy skillet/frypan that looks like it could survive a century?

Yes, absolutely. Use extra garbanzo bean flour instead.
@@ThoseVeganChefs Hey, didn’t think of that - THANKS!
I throw a cup of rolled oats in the blender and use oat flour as a binder for lentil burgers.
