Hi Abhishek! We used regular brown lentils out of the can here. Cheeky but fast :-) I also prepped these patties with dried lentils before. Again, brown lentils cooked for roughly 25 mins, no soaking necessary.
@@hurrythefoodup I love lentils! While not vegan I have been moving away from meat. I still enjoy a steak now and then, I find myself going toward beans, lentils and the like. I have alergies to some foods. I have a terrifying allergy to shell fish! And while not as bad, some nut's have my name on their kill list. I love simple food's with flavor! Thank you for sharing this recipe! Now, what is a good substitute for alcohol in cooking. Not allergic to alcohol, just hate the flovor! A'HO 💚

I would personally just skip the egg, or add just 1 egg. And add much more lentils. This looks more of a flour-egg burger honestly. You don't really need egg to have the lentils stick together well. Just a little bit of flour is fine. I love coating them in some panko sometimes or you could add some paprika or other beans to it for a different flavour. I prefer using a blender or kitchen machine and mash them somewhat (I still like having the burgers have some texture though) I love to have some cumin in there. But all depends on taste.

Hi. How many proteins it has in each one?
What lentils are they. Do you soak in advance to make them smooth.

I totally agree!
Is this how you would make Garbanzo patties?
yeah I don't do flour
How would you make this vegan?
As in the binding agents

Loved the short apocalyptic story it made me smile - looking forward to Year of the Lentil!! Delish hahahaha
Haha thanks Katie! Yes indeed, it's going to be a great year! :D

Hi Vicious, thanks for your comment! I did like these patties a lot this way but Im happy to try out your version. Sounds really good!
Lentis are not a complete protein source.. Adding the eggs makes the meal more balanced!
Adding the egg will create additional protein and help bind the lentil mixture
Have also used ground-up oats instead of flour. It makes a great binding agent for burgers. Nourishing also.
The uncomplicate protein in vegetables is a myth.
Yes, it's much less relevant than most sources reference.
Good job but it didn't need the water
nice one! :)
potato not all that flour
Protein is over-rated. We don't need that much protein. People need to research "dangers of too much protein". Less is more when it comes to protein.
Not true at all. Within recommended amounts, protein is not dangerous for the vast majority of the population. And less is more is not true at all.
