      They probably use photogrammetry for the rocks, and most static objects.

    • @Roozy_Persepolis
      @Roozy_Persepolis 6 років тому

      because most PCs or even consoles cant handle it , besides, it will take a very very long time to make a game at this quality with enormous budget.

    This is astonishingly mind-blowing... It's the first time ever, since I play video-games since the late 90's that I can't distinguish reality from virtuality in this video demonstration... Unreal 1 in 1998 was the most realistic game in the world and in 2007 they launched the UT 2007, later renamed to UT3 which marked a new revolution for gaming graphics since Doom 3 in 2004 and lasted for 5/7 years without being worst than any other engine and in 2014 the Unreal engine 4 came out and now this new perfected Unreal 4 engine... Simply amazing.
    I can only imagine that when Unreal engine 5 come out, it only will serve as to perfect some areas that Unreal engine 4 isn't quite there yet to make it completely undistiguishable from reality and probably the major difference will be in introducing more intelligent and realistic physics, kind of a laws of physics simulation.

    Ray tracing still wins. But I also have a hard time believing that this is all real time. Beautiful.

    Anyone else felt like the grass swaying at scene 6:22. was......unreal? It seemed more like the ground was rolling. Even the tiny green plants has that weird motion to it.

      Same for the trees. They all swayed at exactly the same time. I feel I'd be even more immersed if branches would get affected separately and slightly less synchronously

      It doesn’t look real because it’s not real. Even the human mind can’t create such vivid imagery when we dream. It’s a render for a video game not a test build for the matrix.

    Imagin if consoles didn't hold PC's back we could have games that looked this good.

    It does look real but it has a weird soft shade to it that gives things away.
