Last War is a rising UA-cam advertising plague, that deliberately alters their marketing material in deceptive ways, for what seems to be no discernable reason. In an industry determined to lie, inexplicable skirting all accountability, this hilarious example of false advertising has probably shown up multiple times in your feed.

What do you mean you don’t blame to UA-camrs because they need the money? We all need money and the difference is 99% of us won’t take money for participating in fraud. Consider this; if the ‘influencers’ refused, the fraud would be severely limited. So yes, the UA-camrs are 100% culpable. Great video exposing them 👍🏻

Yeah, I've seen this culture of "respect the hustle", or "get that bag" nonsense in the last few years. As if someone making money is all that matters, so it doesn't matter if they are being dishonest, outright lying, even literally stealing or committing fraud.
I don't understand this thought process at all. If someone is willing to lie for money, that makes it even worse that they then take the money and do that. We should 100% call out and blame people for that. Not call them out, but try to soften that by saying we "respect the hustle". We shouldn't respect them at all.

    It works like this:
    1. Game company starts with advertising actual gameplay
    2. They exhaust the pool of people who can be hooked by that
    3. They deviate further and further from actual gameplay in ads to cover as many demographics as possible
Mobile games don't operate like PC games - a few hundred thousand installs brings you in top 1% on PC, but is chump change on mobile. Biggest mobile game companies are in the "whale hunting" business, not "appeasing the wider audience" business. So ads are made in bulk (at least 10+ different ones each month for proper A/B testing), they need to be varied to sift through different target audiences and they usually need to fall into current "ad trends". If you scoff at this type of ad model you are probably not the type of player, who would spend thousands of USD on microtransactions, so the company wouldn't want you as a player regardless (your retention will probably be low and you might write a bad review on the store - no one needs that if you don't plan to pay).
Wrote some of this under previous video on the topic, but as someone, who worked both in mobile game analytics as well as ad creation, always happy to share my 5 cents.

I have two theories for this phenomenon:
    1. This is the Potemkin village of video games. It's there to look like a game and get installs to fulfill their metrics so they can be paid by Tencent or other investors. They won't be commercially successful, but they will get a paycheck in the mean time.
    2. Moving the Overton Window. When we're numb to these strategies, we'll accept any game that isn't so bad. This makes people ignore the "Fake Game" accusation because it's impossible to tell without installing and playing for yourself. Future games get more installs for less work.

And these things usually run on a very small percentage of players getting extremely addicted and wasting an incredible amount of money.
In that business model it would make sense to try to get as many people as possible to sample your supply in the hopes that a few suckers get hooked.

I actually played this game this week and uninstalled 4 days later, and it baffled me the absolute stupidity of it. The game is a bait and switch, it starts just like the ad I got, with shooting zombies and math puzzles in a street, but the the game starts to slowly become a base builder/defender and starts getting very grindy to force you to spend money, if you're smart you can do everything without wasting a cent...then it become as pvp with other players attacking you base all the time and you having to form alliances with other players to survive, but there is no level balance so high level players starts cannibalizing starter players that keep losing their resources trying to recover from the attack...unless they pay to get stronger. The game is a mess, the gameplay is all over and everything in it is made to make you want to spend money on it, entertainment be dammed.
If you go to the the app reviews, a lot of people were voicing their discontent with the game changing direction suddenly. I think they would have made more money if they managed to keep the player base playing for longer periods, but it seems people drop the game as soon as they realise the game became something else.

How do they operate in such situation, they don't care about the normal people, they only hope that they somehow will hook a whale to the game, and he/she will through thousands dollars or any other currency every week. Don't ask me how does it work, there is a video:

@@Slipknotyk06 Yeah, but here's the thing. Most of Google's AdSense is extremely harmful to the point I just want to pay for adblock in order to avoid clicking on scams or unsecured websites by accident. What I mean by that is when I look up "crypto scams" on my search engine for either UA-cam or Google, I get various results that eventually let me here. What I also get is crypto advertisements that are blatant scams that I just want to skip. Example? When I was trying to watch one of Echelon's videos on false advertising I got an a crypto ad that was sponsored by none other than Mario Nawfal himself (I still have the screenshot to prove it). When I got my first iPhone it was very exciting. The App Store was full of amazing concepts. What year was that…um….right around 2007. I was 53 years of age at that point. A mature adult being provided with ground breaking entertainment. Now, almost 17 years later I browse the App Store for games infrequently as it’s all gone to shit. It didn’t have to be this way as the technology now could do incredible things. But it rarely does. What the hell happened?

Thank you for making this video! I've been watching the mobile gaming industry and associated products for MANY years now, and I am absolutely not surprised where we've ended up today. Just take nearly every mobile game's "screenshots" for example. The vast majority of games out there plaster bogus artwork and distractions around their screenshots, so you have to painstakingly peer through all the nonsense to see what the game actually looks like. As for the "games" themselves, the bulk of available titles are just vehicles for advertising, with gameplay elements being recycled across multiple titles and companies (which in many cases are closely associated). What you said later in the video about the available computing power of your average smartphone hits pretty hard. These companies could absolutely make stellar, AAA titles but they're choosing not to. They're all just feeding into this never-ending cycle of advertising revenue and microtransactions; it's revolting gluttony at its worst. Sadly, there ARE some incredible titles out there, but they're absolutely buried in the landslide of garbage being pumped out every single day. Gross.
