- I hope that you enjoy Pit Bull Blues by John Shipe which is easily the best song about pit bulls that I have ever heard. Like most people, I did not know what great dogs pit bulls are until recently. As my friend Dog Man says "It is not the dog, but the owner that is the problem and pit bulls are not for everyone."

That's a wonderful song and I Love Me Some Pit Bulls. ?..I had a pit bull rescue camp....where I took in stray pits...and kept them and loved them for years until something unfortunate happened....with my home property....

I swear I must be more of a softy than I realize for this breed because I keep crying when I hear this song. lol My first dog was a pitty and so this breed has a special place in my heart. My pitty was an abused mother who was rescued by my aunt and then given to us when she found herself spending more time at work. She was the greatest thing in my life. God rest her soul.

Never owned a pitbull of any kind until I got with my fiance almost 2 years ago my family has always owned dobermans, Rottweilers, or labs . sometimes even German Sheppard but my fiance and I rescued a beautiful full blooded American staffordshire a year ago in March it was cold and rainy that week and people in my town had posted about her running around and that she looked malnourished she was very skiddish but was super sweet. My fiance and I had tried for 2 days to catch her and bring her home to take care of her and get her healthy again she became part of our family of 4 family when No one had claimed her for the 6 months I had her posted on all the swap pages on Facebook she fit into our family so well I decided to name her Jazmine. It was like she knew that was her name already or something close to that had been her name. She's good with all the children in my family such as my 2 boys and both of my older sisters children she was good with other animals especially cats!!!! That was a good thing because I am a cat lover, don't get me wrong I love all animals but cats were my number 1 but I got very attached to Jazmine when she was trying to protect me when I got bit by a German shepherd last October and had to have surgery on both of my hands. When I got home from the hospital Jazmine wouldn't let anyone near momma not even my fiance she stayed by my side and never left even went to the bathroom with me and kept guard and while I slept she was making sure No one or anything was gonna hurt me again. From that moment on I really fell in love with this stray dog that had came into my life. So for our 1 year anniversary I surprised my fiance and brought home a male pocket pit named pancake he was a rescue as well he had went to some bad people that used him to fight and he's got battle scars but for him having that kind of history he is a very kind gentle animal and very well mannered at that he instantly became my dog when he won my heart over when he got in a fight with a really big dog that was being aggressive and was going into my yard after my son. Pancake whooped that other dog up and down the street. He showed he was protecting his humans, after the fight was over and the other dog was detained my pancake ran towards me like he was in trouble for protecting his humans and his yard I reached out for him and He fell over hit the ground hard and started having a seziour I cried cuz I didn't know what was going on with him after his sezier he was not acting right I took him to see the emergency vet. And found out that from his past of being used as a fighting dog there had been previous trama to his brain and was pressure built on his brain. Found out he also had heart worms so bad that he should have already been dead. I told the doctor do what ever you can to save his life. He know is getting treatment he needs and has also became my emotional support animal. So what I'm trying to say is not all breeds of animals that people talk so much about that they say are bad animals to have everyone needs to give all breeds a chance!!!!
Am staffs are great dogs that’s what I had before my Am Pitt rescue as well, rescues are the only way to go!

I'm a 52 year old smallish woman and I've had two rescue Pibbles. They're the best, most loyal and loving dogs I've ever owned. The smiles and goofy joy they bring to your life is incredible. I have friends that have very small children and Nizzie loves them and is just so forbearing with the little ones. Don't judge a book by it's cover or the media who shoves BS down your throat.
This song almost makes me cry every time i hear it because my 14 year old albino pitbull's time is coming soon. She has cancer and has had several tumors. It's only a matter of time before the vet says that we should let go. He also said she would be lucky to make it to Christmas but she is still kicking. She has the heart of a playful puppy and still plays sometimes. It's so sad when the body goes before the mind does. I'm glad there are more people than i thought who actually care about pitbulls. My pitbull was abandoned for 3 months in someone's backyard in vegas untill the previous owner saved him and he was given to ua before his previous owner passed away. I love pitbulls so much.
I have a chocolate brown red nose pit bull... her name is Luna... shes the biggest sweetest baby you'll ever wanna meet but as soon as people hear the breed pit bull they freak out... there's a reason their called nanny dogs... and she lives up yo that name... she loves my grand babies and even tries to take care of the 2 month old... come on people their just dogs... just like any other dog... they need love too!!!
Thats what I dont get. They will be petting your pit and telling you how pretty and sweet he or she is. Then when u tell them it's a pit they act scared. It just literally makes no since
They are def nanny dogs. Mine loves children and will not jump on them at all. My cousins 4 daughters will pull her ears, jump on her and she just wags her tell and let's them do whatever they want lol. But also keeps an eye on them all the time. I think they are the best breed for small children hands down

probably the best song i have ever heard :D but i dont have a pit bull, but their closest relative american staffordshire terrier. and also a dobermann. dogs are the best people, no wait...thats another song :D anyway, we who love dogs know that they are nice, our best friends. i feel sad for those who dont understand and will never feel the great bond you get when you have a dog. it is truly amazing. and there are no bad dogs, only bad owners

Thank you for the song. I've rescued and owned many kinds of dogs, including "pit bulls," and in the right hands, with compassionate people who know their needs, they are the best. One of the last ones I had was so full of energy when he was young, that after I'd bring the dogs home from our daily outings to the beach, the trails, etc., he would only be getting started for the day, and would dig tunnels underground, which kind of worried me, because I was afraid the ground might collapse on him. But he tunneled from my yard into a neighbor's yard and came up under her rose garden. I had to pay for the damages, but he was having such a good time.
At the dog park, other visitors nicknamed him "Saint Otis," and "The Zen Master," because he put up with what most other dogs wouldn't, including little dogs biting him on the face. He'd just stand there and wait for them to let go, and then turn around and calmly walk away.

I took care of a family friends dog. His name was Briggs. A pitbull great dane mix. A huge beast of a dog. Looked like a tall spotted pit. Taking him for walks to the park people would yell at their children to stay away. He was just a big baby. Rough to play with but he was too big for his own strength. He loved to lay on peoples laps. Just a big baby. He protected his owner Melody from being mugged and was put down. RIP Briggs

LOVE this song! Right now we're fostering a GORGEOUS 7yr old Huge Pit (The bigger the pit, The less room in bed!) While driving home from shelter w/him, found a "Road Rager" next to me (Phx, AZ go fig!) He pulled up next to me, mouth open & ready to "go off", then saw Rocky sitting there (He's such a beaut!) Ha Ha, He shut his mouth & took off! Pits ~ you gotta love 'em!

I used to work at a petsmart. Our unofficial 'store dog' was a big blue-nosed pit bull named Chopper. He belonged to a friend of one of the trainers. We used him as a model for our obedience classes. He even developed his own fan base and now he has his own fb page! People would come into the store and do a double take at the calm pittie that sat comfortably tied up to one of the cash registers while the neighborhood kids pet him. I've seen pitties that are gentle giants. I've also seen lots of other breeds be even more aggressive. A friend of mine got his tendon torn while he was working at a boarding kennel. The culprit? A tiny yorkie that latched on and would not let go.

DoggyTV Great song , i own a American Bulldog. but they always say theyr the most aggresive races even tho you have these little fucking dogs who bit my dog 3 time already and he doesnt bite back for some reason. ( they dont even get a warning, but if my dog would bite back in defense he would get killed )
