    Jon. Cheers all your work. Bamboozling science to go TFR very dirty old flat car. Citrus option or plain Snow Foam
    …. PIR …. finally understood. My thoughts are go 2% BH AF or Touchless. Or go same ViroSol or TFR into cannon save time. If it’s protected use Touchless or AF. If it’s a shed just go TFR

    I've bought and am using Autoglanz tfr for heavier soiled cars. Brilliant stuff! I've found the sweet spot is 50ml in 3 litres, enough for 1 car in a pump sprayer. I also use it sometimes instead of surfex hd as a pre wash. Pressure wash down the car first. Apply and leave for a few mins, pressure wash off. Doesn't seem to affect waxes etc in my experience...

    Hi John
    Thanks for another ace review. I am just getting into detailing & watch all your videos. I wondered what you thought about clay mitts as opposed to clay bars ?

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  7 років тому

      hey liz. this is something I need to shoot a video on.. I still prefer clay if I have a lot of contaminant to pick up.. If theres less contaminant I think the mitts can save you a lot of time.. but other factors can come into play...

    I see AG now have an all-in-one polish out, I'd love to see an all-in-one polish shootout on the channel, I have used Auto Finesse's Tripple before but would love to see how the AG compares.

  • @MilesDrive
    @MilesDrive 7 років тому +2

    Thanks Jon. AG have appealed to me through their scented products - naive maybe, but the marketing works on me! As for their marketing, Joe has some great ideas, February freebies, monthly addiction box's, proactive social media, did I mention the scents!! - so I like this brand, modern and it works.........so after waffling (and no I'm not sponsored by AG!!).....branching out with this trade stuff is great, reaching out to the full timers, and what aggressive pricing. I've got some of the trade samples in the Feb addiction box, so really keen to try them out - I'll just spray the AG air fresheners around at the same time!!

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  7 років тому +1

      i think some of the trade products might be scented as well.. Im sure I was getting a mint smell in the glass cleaner and some scent from the shampoo.. could be wrong on that..

    • @MilesDrive
      @MilesDrive 7 років тому

      Jon, your absolutely right! Had a sniff of the trade sample of shampoo and its bubblegum scent!! So some products scented aswell, such a good deal. Keep it up mate, I find your vids very helpful and like someone has said in the comments here, it's about reading you Jon, 'it's what you don't say means as much as what you do say' < you can have that quote Jon....no charge....and we're not related....we're not business partners....you did come to Letchworth (near me) and do a test at Autoglym, so that could be seen as a link??? Anyways great stuff as always!

    hi John great video I have a quick question about the shampoo and glass cleaner
    I'm interested in this range as I also do family and friends cars as a hobby so this could be ideal for me from the great cost effective side of it, I keep my own car waxed did you find the shampoo to be wax safe? also I have rain repellent coating on my glass do you think the glass cleaner would strip that off at all
    thanks in advance

    John:
    Will you be doing a review of the Flex XGE7-15 150 (the updated 16 mm random orbital polisher) any time sorrn? It was fairly recently released, and would like something of a detialed review in the manner that you do all of your reviews. THe existing reviews of this polisher lack any read detail, and seem to be more like PR or sales pitches.
    Also, please let ua all know when you come out with your music album. I'm a big fan of acoustic blues, and would like to listen to more of your music, if the intorductory track to this video is indicative of the type of music you will be making.

    I bought a pack of 10 microfibers from screw fix and they leave lint on glass how do i solve the problem

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  7 років тому

      ok so cloth 1.. so use the ragmaster glass microfiber.. which is really abrasive fine fish scale... Or alternativly use a suede microfiber.... use cloth 1 to scrub and work the glass cleaner hard over the surface.. then cloth 2 use a VERY short napp terry cloth.. or use a waffle weave.. what you use for cloth 2 is important because the cloths really stick to the glass.. anything with fibres will really get worked hard.. so a premium waffle can be a good cloth 2 option.. try this hakman and it should sort your problem out.

    How would you say that wheel cleaner compares to the bilt hamber autowheels jon? .....

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  7 років тому

      totally different approach.. the autowheels product has the reactive thygolic (sp?) acid to turn fallout into a pink liquid... So auto wheels excells as a fallout remover and cleaner... Its the best one Ive used so far. but its expensive..
      Autoglanz acid wheel cleaner.. Even though its a mild acid.. undiluted it has some serious potency.. it literally melts down any stubborn dirt on the alloy... Ass a weekend warrior You wouldnt use the acid wheel cleaner every week on mint high end alloys.. you would use it once to get to a certain level.. You also need to be carefull with acids on unlaqureed metals (like chrome or steel rims etc)...
      BH autowheels is an great example of a awesome higher end product.
      Autoglanz acid wheel cleaner is more trade orientated product that has really high agressive cleaning capability...
      (note autoglanz in their premium range has a nice alkaline wheel cleaner concentrate thats a bit more consumer orientated)...

      PowerMaxed TFR is a good example of a great product.. thats priced fairly at about the market average.

    I'm sorry for what i'm going to say, i've been loving your videos and your personality for a few months now. But i am starting to doubt your point of view in those branded review... I mean between the bilt hamber one, the angel wax products, or optimum, you always say positive stuff on every product. I can't remember you criticizing a product, or bashing one. You always tend to keep the positive stuff on the review, like every product of those brand are a must have. Adding this to the fact that you seems to be in relation with the people behing those brands, receiving those product (for free ?) and often making them great publicity. i don't want to be ass**** and accusing you without knowing the whole story. But it started to seem dodgy to me and i wanted to express my concerns.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  7 років тому +18

      good question. hard question :)
      the channel is run as a hobby for me.. I have never taken any money or fee to do these videos (and I dont use affiliate links to generate revenue).. I generally approach companies for the brand reviews.. I need content to talk about and feature and I simply look at each opportunity to make content and decide weather or not to do it (I turn down a lot of stuff now because it doesnt add value to the channel, or it covers old ground, or I simply dont like it, or have time to film and edit it.. So as a viewer you wont get the full picture of what its really like trying to keep a hand on the reigns of this wierd thing that is managing a U tube channel)..
      This was a cool thing for me.. I wanted to see if the bulk products were good and I want to get accross in the video what I think is cool about them.. and thats the price... The products are highly functional, but I wasnt putting any best in class tags on it because this range is aimed more towards value for money (insane value for money in my opinion, something which is factual)..
      If I get opportunties to feature Autoglanz stuff I will generally take that chance.. I really like the range.. Joe started his brand about the same time I started my channel.. He backed me and valued my opinion, even when I had 1 subscriber (see what the first video is on the channel). Im actually proud to see where autoglanz are going and I really love there products. I have relationships with other brands as well just from getting to know the people.. I like Auto perfekt, I like waxplanet etc ragmaster etc ties to PVD... loads of others... just all good guys.. good products.. good content for me..
      so yer I hear what your saying.. generally if I think something is woefull (it has happened) I feedback to the owner carefully and we might decide not to put it out there (although there are lot of examples of me not liking stuff all over the channel if you watch closer).. generally nowadays I try and steer my video choices towards things I like..
      ultimately a viewer will watch the channel and come to the end of the road with it at some point... as a one man band, photographer, presenter, editer, researcher, detailer, car enthusiast etc... I can only set the bar so high and then shoot out my content bolt until you get bored with it.. but for each viewer that comes in and watches the content and then moves off to pastures new the channel continues to chug along growing slowly...

    • @robertdoyle1624
      @robertdoyle1624 7 років тому +2

      I'm not sure i totally agree with you You don't have to rubbish a product to make your opinion known John tends to pick the best products out of a range and by inference the rest of the range is not the best available With Bilt Hamber he picked out the snow foam and the shampoo as the best Angel Wax Glass cleaner and glass sealant optimum ONR Probably most of the products in these reviews are of an acceptable standard just not the best in class in his opinion If he totally rubbished a range other suppliers might be reluctant to put their products forward for review With John you have to read between the lines to get his recommendations.He is not as silly as you might think Having sucked up I now have to say i don't agree with every thing he recommends ONR for one imho it tries to do too many things with the one product
      Keep up the good work John Along with White Details and AMMO you keep me busy

      Have to say I'm in the same boat here and was thinking of posting similar in the last brand review video. I really do like the video's and enjoy them regardless, but as someone who "filled their boots" with 5 litre bulk product on the back of your last set of BH reviews (where price was brought up as a major plus point) as well as their performance, I'm sort of questioning if I need to go back to initially buying the smaller volumes, regardless of the cost implications, to test myself rather than taking these brand reviews at face value.
      Please take this as some sort of constructive criticism, I'm not here to start any sort of flame wars between your other viewers, it was only because the comments listed here matched how I was feeling.

      Forensic Detailing Channel I've had the same question said on my channel I would advise if the products were not up to much but to be honest these days companies will test and test there products before production starts they wouldn't sell the products if they were crap but we do here what your saying 👍🏻
