  • This week we sat down with Marina Litvinenko, widow of ex-KGB agent Alexander Litvinenko, who was poisoned in the lobby of the London hotel in November 2006. 15 years later, we talked about the investigation, Marina's battle for justice and her recollection of the events.

I actually visited his grave in Highgate a few years ago. During the tour they told the story and explained about how he had to be buried 12 feet instead of 6 feet because of the radiation. Gave me chills.

Why not just bury at 6feet and pour concrete over it? 😂😂just like the americans who spent absolute till to develop a pen that works in space, but russians just took a pencil with them.

I get the idea behind your statement, but I doubt the Russian government will have a hit team after her, she is not stating anything that the British media is not already saying. Her husband was murdered by putin, and putin says 'prove it', The End. She has no more evidence than the British government has on Russian corruption. She can't do the Russian state any more harm than what the British government can do. I doubt she knew too many intricate details of her husbands knowledge of the Russian states corruption. He would not have told her too much so he could protect her. His murder was more of a revenge murder or a statement by Russia to say 'don't fuck with us' rather than to silence the man. He would have already told the British secret service all he knew before he died. His murder was a political statement rather than to silence anybody because the damage had already been done.

Seeing and understanding this crime as a 17-18 year old, I felt so utterly helpless in this mad world. I thought that if this can happen the world really is the worst place and evil rules all. I had a very poor jaded outlook on life and humanity for a long while and this incident colored those thoughts very vividly. I am ashamed I never looked into what happened with his wife and son, not sure if I could have even done that, but I feel that I could have tried. I did not know that his wife speaks about it still to this day and honestly I have the same exact respect for her that I gave her husband all those years ago. Seeing her tell this story with cool confidence, with an awareness that this act is dangerous, yet still pressing on because of the promise she made to her love....damn that's REAL. I for one believe his spirit is with her in some way, if there was anyone who could figure out how to reach back to this world from the next one it would be Alexander Litvinenko. Marina, may your journey help the masses hear Sasha and your story, and may justice prevail evermore.

I've read the articles, I've seen the interviews, but one question remains that has never been addressed. How did the alleged killers manage to get this highly radioactive substance through airport security?? I think this a question that needs to be addressed. Based on the radioactive trails discovered by investigators, there were two prior attempts made to assassinate Litvinenko using the same poison. Did the poison come from Russia or was it waiting for the killers in London?? If in fact the polonium came from Russia, what steps have been taken to prevent such lethal bio-weapons from passing through border security undetected?

    • @SmokeMyBees
      @SmokeMyBees 2 роки тому +41

They brought it with them from Russia. There is no radioactive screening at airports. And considering that they would managed to get a powerful nerve agent through an airport not that long ago I believe there remains to be room for improvement in airport security procedure.

Right (or wrong, in this case) people will always find a way. The entire focus here should be on defacing Russia, talking about its crippled little ways as much as possible, disclosing and shaming them publicly - only then the aggression has a chance to be reduced. I don't understand the motive for the murder execute how it was with something that does not kill instantly, he had time to divulge any information before he died.

Bet he done enough talking and he became useless to who he was talking to so they popped him because he could talk about their secrets too, then just blame Putin, like they seem to do all the time + very good for anti putin propaganda

Cuz the rest of the world is far worse than Russia. USA, EU, that's all corrupt as fuck. Russia is the scapegoat. And is constantly harassed by the European union and USA. Stay in ur fucking business. The fucking hypocrisy...

Western countries are crazy. That's why. Putin eradicated communism, stopped the oil tycoons from stealing any more rubels from russians.
USA and UK want a war against Russia. Ever since early 1900s, where they wanted to invade Afghanistan, UK (British India Company) and USA wanted the land of the afghans. The Soviet Communists tried to invade first, but the British India company army aided Afghanistan to remove Soviet Russia from gaining power over them, then the same British army took power over Afghanistan. Hypocrisy 😂
No country is perfect. Not even our home, England.

Not defending what was done, but I don’t understand why people always see Putin and Russia as evil, while the politicians on western countries are far worse than him… I just want to know ho many American citizens were killed by CIA & Co., how many people were sacrificed to gain some wealth that won’t anyway given to the people but kept by those who everyday won’t mind let or kill people to gain more money… sorry for her for what has happened but she’s not the only one out there and not only in Russia but everywhere, that’s what makes it sad.

@@Mr-Safology please communist/marxist read my comment directed at berserk..
I love people who feel the need to mention the west is corrupt as well as russia
Guess what buddy..We know..it's not because we choose to ignore it because we're from the west or brainwashed by western media...We know.
one day you'll realise how to properly conduct yourself rather than automatically assuming anyone who has anything negative to say about china/russia is clearly brainwashed by western media

@@callumcallaghan8175 Callum , my brother in humanity. Well said, I appreciate your response, and I totally agree with you.
Read what others have stated. I would like to add, that I do indeed conduct myself in a manner, that is respectful to both parties of the debate.
Which is why, it is essential to mention that western countries are also corrupt. Just to allow others that read your comment, know.that Russia is not the enemy here, but in fact our British media.
You know, I'm Muslim and I know it's a whole different topic that is in question here.
Yet, I can see many islamophobic content in British media and many that, in your words, choose to ignore the truth about my beautiful religion, Islam.
So, we have to speak out, otherwise we will be spreading lies and thus, contributing to brainwashing and enhancing such ignorant media.
That's all I have to say. Have a great week ahead Callum and always mention both sides of the same coin.
