The crown stapler is quite versatile, and great when you need more holding power than a brad nail but working with lighter materials. I use it for fence boards, hanging light wire fencing, skirting, etc.
Someone else did a review and was able to add straight brad nails to it and it worked fine. Now I am in Canada and talking about the 2749-20 stapler. Looks the same as yours. Thanks for the review.
An M12 fuel stapler with the same technology as the M18 fuel stapler but, miniaturized and optimized for T50 staplers would be very nifty. The M18 fuel narrow crown is perfect for working with thicker upholstery such as 3oz leather or commercial grade vinyl upholstery though.
Narrow crown stapler. Agree fairly specific not general site carpentry. Cabinetry use and Caravans mostly. I have an air one from my days making exhibition sets. Seldom use it now. T50 much more useful. Price of the crown stapler $570 for a skin. I know I keep saying it and you disagree with me but we get ripped off in Australia. Fact is that tool is $279 in USA. Current exchange rate makes that $375 Australian. A 40 ft container costs $1500 to ship them over. That is a lot of tools in a container that size making the shipping cost of each tool minuscule. So the rest of the price is import tax and mark up. So we end up paying nearly $200 more than the tool is worth. As to relative cost USA carpenter to Aussie one. I doubt 279 seems that steep to them but 570 does to us. And most everything else is cheaper over there. It costs Milwaukee no more to produce the tools for here than it does for there apart from smaller run 240v chargers perhaps but UK is also 240v so they make a few. And these tools are no doubt made mostly in China so have to be shipped back to USA as well. How big a chunk does our Government add on and what percentage the middle men. It would be nice to know where all our additional dollars go.
Enjoy your videos fellas. Agree about how often you would use a narrow crown stapler in general carpentry. I needed one once on a job and just bought an air one for £50. (haven't used it since). I still use the Stanley hand stapler but am on the M12 platform so might give that bad boy a look. Cheers.
I have the narrow crown to staple hardboard sheets 914mm by 1224mm for under flooring (vinyl sheet etc) works really well, bump mode fantastic, fast start, fast action, love it. An it stores behind the seat, so more convenient to carry than a compressor and 20mts of hose. Two problems for me though, only takes one row of staples, needs to take at least two, secondly the trigger is too small, in bump mode it gets uncomfortable, trigger needs to be big enough to fit two fingers on it. FYI each sheet has 30 staples through the middle and a staple 25/30mm apart round the edge, that's a lot of staples.
As always boys, a great video, informative, interesting and tells me what I need to know. I agree with you also, the price for the Narrow Crown is just too steep for a tool that will only get occasional use in my world, I really hope a Bradder is on the way for us, here in Australia.
My kit is 90% Milwaukee with a sprinkling of Hilti and Bosch. I bought the Ryobi One+ 18v bradder because Big Red still doesn't have their 18Ga tool in Australia. This would be a better story if it wasn't TTI still getting my money in the end.
Have you guys received the Brad nailer yet? I picked up the 18 gauge nailer a couple weeks ago here in Canada! Was really great for lining up the first rows of hardwood!
With the recent refresh, is Milwaukee the only company offering a complete set of good cordless nailers/staplers? I have the Hitaboki finish and framers (at the time, they were the only way to roll) but for the life of me can’t find either a T50 stapler nor a narrow crown stapler from them here in the US. I just had to order a Makita T50 (which is fine, they’re my main squeeze for fixings). If I want a good narrow crown, will I need to add another battery platform to the mix? 😂. My friend George runs all Milwaukee.. These are the times I envy him.
I have Milwaukee M 12 stapler I also have the narrow crown stapler but that is Ryobi....I normally wouldn't make a statement like this but I feel The Ryobi narrow crown stapler is actually just as good and actually better in some ways than the Milwaukee....A couple of ways it is better is first of all it has duel LED lights and I feel it is a little more compact for tighter areas....It is somewhat wider then the Milwaukee but still a little more compact overall.... The Milwaukee also gives a little more kickback then the Ryobi does....So overall I would pick the Ryobi over the Milwaukee in this case not to mention it's a lot cheaper
The narrow crown stapler will make sure that the leather goes nowhere when doing upholstery work. It's not just great for the installation of a vapor barrier, fiberglass insulation, and trim.
Exactly!!! Bring that bloody 18g they complete avoided me comment and emails, after the joke that they called the 15/16/18g nailers that they brought out I sold mine in the first month of using because it wouldn’t punch a nail in 12mm plywood I mean common Milwaukee au stop kissing your boyfriend and bring the next gen bradder out!!!
Hard to understand the accent at times especially when you guys shorten the words down further. Could not watch the video, too much time trying to understand what they are saying. I have heard other Australian’s speak and even though they have an accent I could understand. These guys seem to speak faster, they use slang, especially the guy with black tee and glasses. It just not enjoyable.

nice Moose
I own the M18... and it shoots brads AND staples. No problem. Great for interior work (door & window trim, cabinets etc)
OH really? oops!

Milwaukee needs to update therem12 stapler. Even The narrow crown model is faster with bigger staples.

thanks for the feedback David! Sounds like it's the perfect tool for the job!

Pretty sure they experiment with the ryobi version of any tool before they do a red release 😂. Still never mind what’s next?

i ordered the 18ga from the US, got sick of waiting for Milwaukee Aus to bring it in
Fair

thanks for the reply. though it seems like comparing the M18 narrow crown stapler to the Ryobi would be the more reasonable comparison? Cheers RICH!
@@OZToolTalk That's actually what I was comparing
It cant do nails?
Type47 from 6 to 16mm but no Type53 nails from 14 to 16mm?
nope, no nails
Hi mate! Any idea bout 2nd gen mid torque of milwaukee here in Australia. Cheers
No sorry Chris
