@@NineBetween please don't left me in the middle I'm trying to learn Houdini from almost 3 years i learned c4d and a lot of other stuff so now i have the chance of revising the software again due to this covid thingy i know a lot of things I'm not a beginner but still I'm not really comfortable with vops and coding stuff
this is the way everyone should make tutorials, no time wasted, clarity in explanation, not fast in talking and not slow, visually things marked when they are mentioned, no ehh, emm, ahh. Thank you.
For the first time, I'm actually watching a Houdini tutorial without feeling lost or left behind by the tutor. For the first time, I fully understood. You have my gratitude...
The best beginner's Houdini tutorial on the whole internet! Still even in 2023! Thank you so much for making this series! Keep doing new tutorials with this same style.
this tutorial was what everyone including me needed to start Houdini without having to be afraid of where to start and where to end up, the way you explain is honestly great, no extensive explanation, straight to the point, no slow talking, gradual increasement from this ep to the last one which honestly made me feel like i can call myself a Houdini intermediate user already, i hope you keep uploading such tutorials especially with the motion graph which helped illustrate everything and made the video seem less scary and more spontaneous because the Houdini beginners community need such a tutor.
Wow, thanks for the awesome, well thought-out comment. Your experience with the series is exactly what we were hoping for so it's great to hear. We'll be sure to keep the tutorials coming. Thanks again!
I'm a vfx student, and next year we're starting with houdini. i was so scared cause i searched for tutorials and all i see is "oh you need at least 10 years to get the basics blabla" but i think with your tutorials and a lot of patience (what i have for learning vfx) i see a bright light. I wanted to get into a bit before we start in school so i'm not in a hury. Anyways thank you so much for putting those out, much love take care!
@@coldenv_IG Hello there friend. I live in India, and as far as I know there are no good schools here. Even if there are, the job opportunities are not as good as anywhere else. So I want to do a course abroad. And thank you for replying.
This tutorial from your gentle voice to the gentle straight forward and seemingly simple way you explain everything, is what every tutorial creator needs to learn! I just decided to go in vfx yesterday, with zero knowledge, and a friend recommened Houdini, then i came to UA-cam, and came across your video. This is the best tutorial for Houdini out there! Please do more!!!!!
As a total beginner, this was such a good, well-paced explanation of how to get started! Thank you for breaking it down, keeping it simple, and explaining slowly. So much better than those complicated tutorials I have been watching.
Beginner Unity game dev here, I hated blender and made the move to Houdini and this tutorial is absolutely amazing! tysm for making this easier for me :D
i just found out about houdini a few hours ago. I got in love with the physics, then i downloaded it and searched for tutorials, for hours, found nothing. then this came up, and this is perfect. thanks!

Excellent tuition level thanks. I have been watching afew videos and watched these several months ago. I find now coming back these are really well structured and really help to reconfirm what's important when first learning Houdini. Thanks. I know that's what you were aiming for...
Very good lesson for a beginner!!! As a beginner, everything is very clear to me, even though I’ve been watching this video three years since it came out, it has not lost its relevance! I will continue to watch your lessons. And you continue to publish more interesting and educational lessons! Good luck to you!
You have absolutely the best learning tutorials than everyone else in Houdini. Their is a distinct difference in ho you make videos to your intuitive teaching. Thanks!
You really make it not being scary anymore! A clean, logically structured way of explaining and putting things together one by one makes learning Houdiny fun finally. Looking forward to seeing more of your great tutorials :-)
You're Awesome! I think you have just done the best way of explaining Houdini over the whole internet. I have been watching a lot of basics to Houdini tutorials before but nothing even comes close to the way you explain here. I'm sure your tutorials are going to be the most in demand in the coming days. I also hope you make basics of RBD, Particles, Fluids, Vellum etc. Thanks a lot man. You're a Rockstar!
Wow, really appreciate that. And yeah, we'll cover all the basics as we go. Thanks for watching. It doesn't matter what we make, without awesome people like you watching, so thanks!
Thanks for the help. I am currently in Year 2 of my VFX course, and my FX animation lecturer recommended me and my class to use this playlist and learn how to go through the karmic journeys of Houdini. Karma Houdini always gets away, eh? Once again, thanks for the video! Now to continue with the playlist! :D Shout out to Anand N for the idea!
3 years ago I was First time install to learn Houdini. After 10 hours I quit and uninstall it thinking it's not for me. And I started learning cinema 4d. It's a great soft for motion design and good for vfx but I always needed a soft that can handle any kind of pressure also clients frequent correction. Yeah it's Houdini!!. And found your tutorial it's so simplified so that i can learn, without losing my mind and patience. Thank you so much.
Thank you for spending your time doing this. So many of us in vfx were waiting for someone to come up with a simple tutorial artists could follow without bringing the big guns in chapter 01.
I saw many tutorials and no one has ever explained something as good as you did, encouraging the continuation of the course at the same time. Thank you!
I'm a 3D gereralist and I use multiple 3D programs at the same time for diffrent gigs. maya and blender have the weirdest shortcuts from all the digital art programs I used so far.
The process of working in Houdini is very meditative, I parted with my girl, do not go out with friends, quit playing games, I think I'm on my way to Nirvana.
You're welcome! I completely understand the feeling of being overwhelmed when starting out. That's exactly why I made this series, so I'm glad it's helping you😁
This is type of tutorial I needed! I know other modeling softwares and now getting into Houdini but didn't want to go through the modeling concepts stuff. Thanks for posting!
I did see another beginners tutorial by Houdini's website. Its not good and goes through everything so quickly. I gave up till today and found your lessons . Slowly does it and not to blow your brains. Great work
This is as clear and concise as you can get. It is easy to be put off and most Houdini stuff on net assumes too much or tells you too much too early. Even this when I first viewed it seemed a tad confusing, but a second viewing after struggling with the software for a bit proved very helpful. Given the nature of Houdini, it's as good as you will get and the tone is excellent -patient explanation not an attempt to show off the presenter's skill or talent.
Thank you bro. I used to study Games design when I was at college (UK) . But haven't touched 3D software in over 2 years. I finally came across this tutorial series and I am very relieved in having found it: great work. It stands out from many other tutorial series on UA-cam, which are very often hard to follow not necessarily becuase of the actual content, but rather how it is presented and especially how it is spoken.
