That’s funny you posted this. I had some random guy message me on Instagram and ask me how to measure pushrod length (I think he follows me on there and decided to ask) and I thought about making a video on it as well. Your blows whatever I would have done way out of the water. Great video!
For us newbies to engine building, we were taught to use "blue layout fluid" on top of the valve stems that will show exactly where to roller witness mark is.. Adjust pushrod if necessary and repeat. Jimmy knows his stuff and can do without the blue layout fluid. All in all, excellent video, love the graphic/banners you popped up! Beautiful Motor fellas. Hope you can show install and startup please. Thanks for sharing!!!
No mention of the half lift method.... no mention of the valve stem square with rocker fulcrum at mid lift??? Imo centered on center of stem is ideal, but NOT realistic. There's soo much more important detail than is shown here
Speedmaster castings, Ferrara valves, Howard’s springs, clay smith cups, and comp valve guides. We port and polished them and did a 3 angle valve job on them
