- Today we wrap-up the budget Big Block FORD Edelbrock Victor JR head Porting series.
Using @DavidVizard s 5 golden rules of head Porting we finished up my buddies cylinder heads that are going on his 1976 Ford F100 called Rowdy!
I hope you enjoyed this series and sorry for it taking so long. You will also get to see these heads in action! probably against CASPER so stay tuned!
Gentlemen Scholars Sport Too:)
Not like Drunks on the Golf Course…
Good Video Andy
Andy, can you please do something for us FE guys?
I would love to but to be honest it probably won't happen unless one comes my way.
Thanks for watching
Andy
Fast guys have been making massive FE horsepower for over 50 years. Countless books have been written about the glorious FEs! Outside of minor oiling issues, the toughest engines ever.
Don't know any YT channels for them, tho. 👍
Lykins Motorsports does A LOT of FE builds
@@UnityMotorSportsGarage I'll check it out. Thnx, Andy.
Thanks Andy 🧤
Can you talk about 4v heads porting? Tips, tricks, work examples...
I might dig into that down the road.. Thanks for watching
Andy
I second that
Crown Vic 4.6 2V
I have 2 Lincoln Town Cars
I’m buying an extra engine too.
That way I can swap engines around and have a core all the time.
I’ll be watching Andy:)
Thanks again
Great stuff guys
Thank You for your valuable information an time to share your outstanding knowledge
Thanks Andy and David.
Nice work on the heads Andy.
Great seeing some work by you two.
Have a good weekend.
Take care, Ed.
In big block Ford circles the Mad Porter is well respected
He sells a head program for 35 dollars plus personal support
Just posted that for people not familiar with that head telling you where not to cut for the beginner.
I did the program well worth it.
Thanks for all your great videos! Sox and Martin used to prepare cars for their competitors as well!
That is exactly right! Thanks for watching
great series of vids on porting these heads. I need to re-watch them.
Yea I was waiting for these 385 is my choice of motor
Can't wait to see the numbers
They say those castings have pit under the surface have you hit any I have seen pitting.on your
Going for Dove heads for now
Class act you guys are. No better sportsmanship than helping out a fellow competitor. I love that spirit man, way too much trash talking and poo slinging these days.
Hey Andy and David, have a look at KG Engines in Kansas Ohio. CNC programs for lots of different heads/makes. I don’t think he’s claiming any ‘max port size’ but nice street/strip stuff and sounds pretty reasonably priced too (when I last checked)
Andy, great as always. I’m pulling the boss 302 in a few weeks. I’m just not getting enough valve lift.
Thanks Laut! I cant wait to see what you do with it
Andy
Nice work Andy! 👊
Thanks Rob
Andy
Andy, will you show the whole combination and specification for the Ford 460?
Yes as Jason builds the engine I will give a breakdown of it. Its going to run hard
Andy
Do you have dyno video of E7 heads before and after of comp chamber mods??
We might have footage of that, I will ask DV
Thanks for watching
Andy
I would love to see a good work over and flow numbers on a set of E7 or F3. I’ve been tempted to buy Scotty @ Parkland Automotive’s grinding instructions for FI heads and intake, but would really appreciate seeing flow numbers.
Hey Andy/David,
Tim here, SO happy to get a notification of a new vid, i was beginning to get worried about you guys....SO happy all is well, and i'd LOVE to see all about those weird BBC intake ports.....anyhoo, GLAD u guys are well!!!.....look fwd to next one!!!...PEACE and MERRY CHRISTMAS to you both!!!😊
Great video. I love the BBF and learned some things on the valve unshrouding! I'd love to watch the BBF head vs BBC but I cant find it.
Thanks for your videos!
I'm porting and chambering my head now. Im just getting over cutting the harbor freight wheel chocks in half with a sawzall took quite a while but i like it. I will show it i my next video. Did you ever get the 30 odd pages from the book that didn't get published? Can you talk more about angle milling heads for a better valve angle? The PTV, and the piston the deck clearance, center lining valves in the bore. Is 0.0472in a good quench height? I'm hearing piston to valve clearance can get down to .03
Sean I have the pages, I just need the time to sort things out. I may do a video addressing those things down the road as they are really good topics.
Andy
I'm really intrigued in those 4 6L V8s you have there in USA and was wondering what the bore x stroke combo is for them?
They are pretty much a square design.. 3.55 bore X 3.54 stroke
Thanks for watching!
Andy
Hows that save the children 318 coming along ?
I really enjoyed this video. I’m a 2v 4.6 guy. Could you do a video on 2v PI head porting??
Hey Andy what’s happening with the 318?
We will be talking about that pretty soon
Andy
I would like to hear more about the exhaust plateau - I have some 351c 4v closed chamber heads - would like to apply those lessons
Leave the stock intake valves in and inlarge the exaust valve so the flow will be more in line with the opening
Kasse head numbers are a very high bar to meet. Definitely following this project! What's up with the Casper trans?
Ben Alameda has a channel too and he is a real visionary
Cope is doing some testing in a Supercharged Lightning powered F150 and my Valvebody/Transmission will probably be done by early spring
Andy
Kasse chambers are light years ahead of these edelbrock’s…curious as to flow#’s and hp #’s
@@matthewnosal6893 One look at those chambers and I thought we were back in 1970. Edelbrock heads can be garbage, for the most part. They seem to be the very last to improve ports and chambers based on the latest information.
Sure would be nice to see a before and after photo of the way the heads look. For those that have no idea what you have done. I myself know what you are talking about and seen plenty of after photos. But my son came walking through and was trying to figure out your analogy with the driveway. That’s one reason for the before and after shot. And the other is trying too explain it. I personally have never tried doing a port job because I’m scared of taking out to much and getting into the water jacket. So I leave them factory because if I screw it up I don’t have enough money to replace it
I have a whole playlist dedicated to these heads..
Thanks for watching
Andy
I'm a Chevy guy but enjoy your vids
I appreciate that! Im going to be working on a Chevy this coming weekend
Andy
I’d love for you and Mr Vizard to do a video on porting the 4V Cleveland iron heads
What ended up happening with this guys truck? How did it run?
👍💪
Be interesing to see how the bbc manifold sorts out to go with the head mods..
I have not heard, is project mission impossible 318 a bust or what??
I was going to ask, like I have at the other channels, but I don't want to seem like a di*k.
Would have been better to do quick mods and see what happened, but seems like Impossible has left the chat. 🥺
We will be talking about it here in the near future
Andy
Hello
Can you say to us the best trickflow heads for ford crawn vic
What's up andy
Not much! Trying to get caught up.. like always
Thanks for watching
Andy
