    Obviously this guy is a joke. China has an authoritarian government that goes beyond anything Starmer is capable of thinking of. That's why there's calm in China. During Covid the Chinese government literally locked citizens into their homes.
    Also notice there is no mass immigration legal or illegal to China. Therefore no racial tension with foreigners.

    Iain, thanks for showing us around Glasgow. It's been almost 30 years since my last visit. Most westerners, including Australians, have been told (or catfished) since birth that China is a dirty and poor country. It is difficult to convince them how safe and beautiful China is today. They just cannot imagine the scale of things in China and how far that country is ahead of their own.

      @@themindsojournerGermany is pro-imperialist and anti-socialist. Socialism doesn't mean what you think it means. Socialism is not about welfare programs or stuff that sounds "social". It's also not the absence of free markets that defines Socialism or "same pay and free stuff for everyone". Socialism never was and never claimed to be that. That's just the false definition, a caricature, that imperialist countries invented and spread. And many western leftists unfortunately believe it without studying and digging into the topic. Read Engels short book "Die Entwicklung des Sozialismus von der Utopie zur Wissenschaft" (English version: Socialism: Utopian and Scientific) to learn about scientific Socialism. Then you'll understand why China is indeed in a (very early) stage of Socialism and Germany and the rest of the imperialist countries is not. It's a short book, very easy to understand and digest and easy to adapt to what you can observe today. The world will suddenly make much more sense to you.

      @@Ace1000ks19751982Scandinavian countries and the others you mentioned are imperialist and anti-socialist. Socialism is not the same as being able to provide welfare to you citizens because you benefit from imperialism. Socialism has nothing to do with that and never claimed it has. It's a stage before Communism which aims to remove the built-in problem in capitalism called the tendency of the falling rates of profits. Socialism is basically a bug fix to increase performance of capitalism but in the interest of the people as a whole and with the goal to reach a higher mode of production (higher stage of Socialism and eventually, the very distant goal of Communism which is achieved through highest abundance of all goods and highest level of automation). It's also anti-imperialist in it's nature. It has to be, because imperialists have the goal to suppress the development of Socialism. Scandinavian countries are part of the imperialist core and benefit from imperialism, hence they can afford to give their citizens stuff like welfare and affordable healthcare.

      @@kremigmitsahne7197 Socialism and Communism are different. Socialist economies tend to be about 50% capitalist and 50% socialist. Communism tends to have economies that are more than 50% socialist.
      Chinese communism is a bit different, it does allow people to own and operate their own businesses. You have millionaires and billionaires in China. The Chinese model is kind of like the Yugoslavian model, it was a mixed capitalist and socialist system. I am not for a 100% command economy, because it does have its own set of problems. The private sector should be given a share of the economy, because some things the private sector can do better than the public sector. The central government can't manage the entire economy, it is too difficult. The most important aspects of the economy should be under government control, like energy, public infrastructure, medical industry, and defense industry.
      The less important aspect of the economy can be left to the private sector, like operating retail businesses, restaurants, food production, food processing, production of consumer goods, and the distribution of consumer goods.

    Hiya - very thought provoking video. I've also pondered this, and have come to the conclusion that the problem is the Western democratic system.
    Think about it. There are some 500 or so MPs in Westminster. How many of them really give a toss about their constituents, much less society on a whole?
    How many of them are actually grifters?
    Even if you were optimistic and thought that "bad intentioned people" were at a minimum, think how they win their places in Parliament?
    Nobody NOBODY in society has enough time to keep up to date with all the issues - because they're too busy with life.
    So what happens? The way the MSM is structured - controversy sells papers - means that the politicians who shout the loudest or say the worst things get air time. And it's a lot easier to get attention for saying absolute shite than talking about anything good.
    To compound this horrible situation, once they're in Parliament, there's hardly any way for a citizen to keep track of how their MPs vote.
    So what sort of people does this system attract (to stand)? Someone who's tw#tish enough to LIE to get elected, and once elected, willing to sell his or her vote to the corporations.

    相信你在中国居住了一段时间,视频也附上了中文;所以我用中文来表达我的观点,相信你能看懂;
    资本主义诞生于欧洲,特别是英国;从人类历史的进程来看,欧洲或者英国的人们更应该能深刻理解资本主义社会 的弊病;而现实的结果是欧美国家很容易被政客所欺骗,竟然没多少人去质疑资本主义私有制社会会给一个国家及大多数民众带来什么样的后果;
    在私有制的社会里,税收是一种再分配的解决方案,可以延缓贫富极化的到来;但在上世纪八十年代,里根-撒切尔的新自由主义经济理论,使得资本主义的灭亡走上了快车道;新自由主义经济理论两个比较明显的理论就是“涓滴效益”及“减税带动投资”,而这正是欺骗民众的谎言;“涓滴效应”需要上层为下层做出奉献,这样下层民众才能在社会经济活动中得到更多的好处;而回顾八十年代开始的减税现象以来,洽洽是欧美国家财富快速向少数人集中的一个过程;一个国家缺少了税收如何维持基本的开支呢?相信大多数人都知道在上世纪二战前后(罗斯福新政时期)美国的税率有多高,那才是欧美国家的黄金朝代;
    中国有在毛泽东时代打下的公有制基础,虽然在邓小平上台后私有化了很多,但公有制的思想一直都存在;中国现存的为数不多的公有制企业的好处是避免社会财富快速向少数人集中,更为国家财政带来巨大的收入;而且公有制企业所创造的财富属于全体国民,虽然公有制企业有不少的腐败行为,但相比私有化更有利多数民众,这些企业除了上交税收外,更要上交大部分利润给国家;这就是中国在与欧美国家竞争中占有的制度优势(这些国有企业一年上交的利润有近上万亿美元);再就是中国土地的国有化、集体化,这使得中国在发展中遇到较的土地障碍,而将国有土地与集体土地租赁出去,又可以快速获得发展基础设施所需要的资金;
    人类历史的私有制社会经历了奴隶制、封建制到资本主义;可以说资本主义是私有制的巅峰状态,也是私有制要走向灭亡的开始;

Therefore no racial tension with foreigners." - the British people have been betrayed by successive governments - whether it is Labour or Conservative. • @ForAllLifesAdventures
      @ForAllLifesAdventures  24 дні тому

      Yeah, fair point. Every developed country needs immigration but the ‘mass’ unchecked immigration has been a shock to the system as it has been so fast in installing and there has been no infrastructure or social alignment hence the conflicts.
      The ‘small boats’ theory is a distraction as the governments have allowed immigration in the thousands in through other routes without any clear strategy… however on the other hand, much of what we see is from what has been sown by destabilising other countries through various means.
      Maybe a lesson in that!
      China will have immigration because they can only automate so much through robots (incredible technology breakthroughs coming) and they will need to support the population as the wealth is distributed more evenly through social programs and the more poverty is alleviated. Also note that China is already a collection of many different groups and they live peacefully despite many attempts by nefarious groups to destabilise that…. Which does prove a point, there is another way.

    Beautiful and Inspiring video to watch.
    China went through nearly two hundred years of humiliation and went through atrocities of all kind. Thus the awakening and tremendous effort started to save and reform China began one hundred years ago.
    We went through horrible invasions by 8 western countries and japan including Britain in 1900 and then the Crazy Japanese invasion which led to 40 millions casualties.
    And then the civil war and Korean War which Chinese armies used machine gun to fight against the almighty US led alliance with air bombers and tanks .
    The odd to win for China was twenty to one against the Allie.
    Then it went through all kind of political movement and experimentation to reform and develop.
    The achievement of modern China was so great but the cost and effort behind should be understood . The amount of determination both for the people and government should be looked at .
    Is western worker willing to work six days a week 12 hours a day ?
    Nothing is free in this world .. Chinese paid heavy prices for the development from a rock bottom state hundred years ago ..
    UK used to dominate the whole world .
    So after Uk lost the colonies it began her decline ..
    They lost the industrial power too over time which is real wealth generators.
    So could Scotland and UK learn from China ? I think first they have to understand how hard Chinese build up their countries .
    Chinese has no problem with foreigners of all kind . Chinese adore ( look up to ) foreigners. It is weird ..
    Could British people appreciate foreigners and other cultures?
    Many so called immigrants are actually descendants from the great British empire

I have some friends and a former colleague in England and none of them have ever told me that England and Scotland are separate countries, unless I guess they are in a soccer (you call football) game. I have a quote from Maurice Maeterlinck: "At every crossroad on the path that leads to the future tradition has placed ten thousand men to guard the past." And he was from 19th century. I am always searching and looking for more insight and learning and I am able to shift my perspectives when I see logic and experience things for real.
      Brexit Britain will always be a mistake for me and it is something that reflects the ability of politicians and the like to massage opinions and walk something through to fruition and then stroll away without any consequences… something I feel we should be building to our political class.
      I am glad you are seeing my videos again, I think I may have had a shadow ban - never sure what that is, but people had said to me that they were not seeing my content and being unsubscribed. Life is great for the upper-middle class and the rich, but the rest of the people struggle from paycheck to paycheck with ever increasing debt loads. Sadder still is the realization things will get worse before they get better. ?"So, can US, UK, and rest of the developed world "learn from China?" Before you could answer that, you first have to ask two fundamental questions: 1) why is China the only great power in human history able to rise to new heights each and every time a previous state/dynasty fall from grace? 2) Can other great powers copy-adopt-innovate Phoenix-like ability of the "Middle Kingdom" for their own recovery to prominence? So far, I only see Russia tinkering its culture/society to recover from the fall of the Soviet Union, but its success is TBD.

      Evidence abounds. It is essential to travel to China for a few months and see for yourself the political and economic sovereignty which China enjoys but which is lacking in the UK and the rest of the US - led NATO military alliances in Europe. The political system ; so - called democracy is in practice an oligarchy and plutocracy. Elections are money warfare for a change of political leaders and party with no change of those policies, even if they are wrong because they benefit the elites. It's no exaggeration to say that the greatest winners of Western style of elections are the political donors and ruling classes. In reality, there's no democracy and freedom in the British constitution . For example, the UK has the House of Lords where members could be catapulted in senior cabinet ministers within 24 hours with the approval of the British Monarchy. This explains why Lord David Cameron became the Foreign Minister within 24 hours after he was conferred the title "Lord." Also, the House of Lords membership can be for life, by birth or appointment by the Monarch. This is not democracy and freedom . Do associate one word , that is " Communism " with all things negatives and blinds us to the fact that it's undemocratic to label non Western style of political system as dictatorship or authoritarian.

      Do we have "rule by the people"? (Democracy)
      Or
      "All are Equal, but some are more Equal than others"? (Ref George Orwell, regarding "Communism")
      .
      I would describe the Chinese system as understanding the difference between"enough"and "more".

      Agree. I'm from eastern Europe, living in UK (firstly England, now Scotland) and I was always looking in the west. Now, I am really fascinated with eastern Asia. I think I could say eastern Europe is (literally) in the middle - experiencing quite fast development, safe environment and also western style of governing. But I only started seeing this after I moved out 😉. Travelling really opens minds and stretches perspectives. I also see the difference between living conditions in England and Scotland and I can second what's being said in the video.

    8.再说个人,毛是中国历史上唯一一个,为了底层人民,追求人人平等,打破几千年以来的封建制度,唯一个喊出人民万岁的领袖,毛一生最大的心愿,解放全天下的受苦人,和内外敌人斗争了一辈子的开国领袖,建国后曾经出生入死的兄弟,一部分变成了新的恶龙,为了打破这个阶级固化腐败,人分三六九等问题,也害怕人民再吃二遍苦,晚年甚至付出了自己的生命和名誉,发动了那场革命,虽说斗争失败了,运动发展的过程中,派系斗争变了形,也确实带来了灾难,但今天来看意义是重大的! 毛给后人留下了什么?没有一分钱遗产!为了新中国的胜利,牺牲了6位至亲,后代也是普通人。毛住中南海自己付房租,吃中南海的鱼还自己付钱,自己的稿费补贴公用!邓后人万亿家产,自己不正何以正别人? 8964的初衷也是反贪污,和文革一样只不过后期被人利用了,当时邓的儿子京城第一倒爷!
    9.结合今天来看,特别是以一个普通人的角度,文革只是简单的对错吗?当年要打倒的那批人,不就是今天欺负老百姓的这批人吗?权贵官员,官商勾结,汉奸公知和那些所谓的砖家叫兽吗?现在哪个月没有灭门惨案?为什么会这样?有些地方底层百姓已经被欺负的没办法了。见过底层老百姓抹黑污蔑毛吗?没有! ! !哪些人怕毛?贪官污吏及依附于它们的公知二狗子,汉奸,和所谓的砖家叫兽!
    10.毛一直提倡人民民主专政制度,人民有游行,抗议,自由言论的权利,政府不作为的话,鼓励人民造反。公开发行的毛选第4册,这个章节也被邓删除,人民监督政府,人民言论自由,人民聚会抗议的权利,全部被剥夺! 最后用现在年轻人的话总结:经过了40多年的改革开放,留下邓是毛最大的智慧,邓最大的证明,就是伟人始终都是正确的。特别是结合今天的社会问题来看,后人现在终于明白了,老人家不是老糊涂,只是眼光太长远,时间证明了一切! 现在年轻人结不起婚,买不起房,一个个躺平了,要么就是无底线的挣钱!为什么?资源被内外买办,权贵垄断,官官相护,伟人的担忧今天全部验证!文革就是一次演习,按现在的趋势,文革估计早晚都会再次发生,估计下次就不会给他们,再次翻案的机会了!免得屎盆子都扣一个人头上,毛过错是有,但要结合当时的内外国际环境来和国内政治现状来看,过错算一个人身上是否有失公平? ? ? 为什么现在90后,00后,很多视毛为偶像?看看现在淘宝销量第一的书籍是毛选,大学图书馆借书的前三名也是毛选,年轻人为主的B站,上面最火的视频是伟人的视频,可以去看看12.26号的韶山,几十万年轻人和经过那个时代的老人,去给伟人庆生,现场高喊要真社会主义,不要假社会主义!老人家早已看透了世界发展规律,他的思想就是留给后人的答案,时间越久越能证明毛的伟大!真理越辩越明!现在的年轻人正在觉醒,正在学习他,成为他,超越他!这才是国家的希望!怀念我们心中伟大的红太阳,致敬永远的教员!
    总结:切记也不要搞个人崇拜,不要神话他,这是教员一直反对的,要的是学习他的思想,他的奋斗精神!他走了,我们就是他,更好的建设这个国家! !
    注:文中所提到的教员就是毛泽东;

      The UK is, in theory anyway, a political alliance of four countries - England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. @@James.979 This was in the other entry of your question, which appeared 3 times. I don't normally answer questions when demanded because I get a lot of challenges from haters and the usual, but you asked in a decent way.
      -----------------------------------
      Hi James,
      Some of my early videos covered that.
      The story is that I had a messy divorce and lost everything, including decent access to my kids. The law works against fathers. I got a short-term contract to work in China. I loved it. I went back to the U.K. for a year. I got a chance to come back a year later and did that with the backing of my family and kids. If I didn’t, my mental health and thoughts would have got the better of me. I work in retail, and I have a decent job. I have worked in retail most of my life and have a proven track record at managerial levels, so I was able to bring that experience here.
      I live in a very small apartment in a good area of Beijing with Lisa, who is amazing.
      I appreciate that you are a fellow Glaswegian and so you will also appreciate me and the fact that I accept no one’s money and my opinion is formed by my own research, reading and life experiences.
      It is not propaganda, certainly not professional 😂 .I am trying to work things out as much as inform. Glaswegians have a tendency to suffer nae bullshit… I am in that camp.
      I don’t know if you were taking a shot at me, but it doesn’t sound like it. I am happy to catch up face-to-face at any time in Glasgow or if you get out to Beijing/China.
      My ultimate drive is about experiences in life. Still, at the core, I want to drip a very small drop into people thinking differently about being dragged into a hate-filled conflict that will spill over into taking the lives of my, your, and others' children…. Because some rich guy decided so.
      My email details are in the video description. Reach out for more detail. 👍🏼
