I made this video about a year ago and realized that I only posted it on FB and not YT. So I wanted to share it with a new audience to educate you a bit about one of the smallest, safest and most humble countries on our planet -- ANDORRA! Have you ever been to Andorra? Or heard anything about it? I recommend visiting if you get the chance!

@@carlaiserte1684i spent 3 days in Andorra. i went everywhere except Santa coloma and ordino and I stayed in la massana. Lots of stunning nature and an igloo hotel. I wish i had more time.🇦🇩

Hey! I'm from Andorra, born and raised there, indeed it is really safe and education is pretty top-notch. Most of French and Spaniards come here to study high school as we study in 4 languages at once (Catalan, Spanish, French) the official and the 2 co-official languages and English. Although it's a great nation to retire or when you're older, it is kinda boring when you're young. That's the main reason of why most of us, youngsters, go to Barcelona, Madrid or Toulouse to study a degree after high school as there's almost no party and no other things to do in our country aside from shopping, going out for lunch or dinner, going hiking or skiing in winter. There are just 5 big high schools and we get to know almost everyone so there's no privacy either xD. But it is fun if you just wanna relax, enjoy nature and shop!

He is very honest. Andora is pretty much a small town in the mountain. There isnt much to do
And 90% of infrastructures are built after 1950s. You wont see much history like you see in prague. Paris. Barcelona. Etc

Another important thing about Andorra and a major touristic attraction is one of the biggest spas in Europe. It is an iconic glass-made pyramid located in the middle of the capital city.

Hey Drew I went to Andorra this year on my AfroEurasianNorthAmerican trip??! I guess you could say and it was one of the best countries I have ever visited. I think everyone should visit this small nation once in their life

I spent one week in Andorra this summer and me and my friends definitly did not get bored. It's an amazing place for hiking with mountains that almost hit 3000m and amazing wild life. We even spotted a wild groundhog. Also Andorra has one of the largest tibetan bridges in the world with a length of 603m and a maximum rise of 153 m.
Also I agree with most folks here. Go outside of Andorra Del Vella as soon as you are done shopping. Have a good one!

Makes sense. Think about it, compare the price of a store vs. a train station 2,000 feet in the mountains.
Not to mention, all that rail that you need to build straight through the Pyranees mountains.
Roads are far easier than rail, as it can be steeper and have less digging work.
So people just drive.

I would recommend a trip to the mountain. Some are easy, some are hard, there is everything for everyone.
There're more things to see in Andorra, plenty of nature beauty everywhere and really nice villages where you can eat delicious food. Go to Andorra and spend more than one day there!

Yess! I've been there, I'm Spanish and it only takes me like 2 hours to go there by car! It's small, but definetely worth visiting. There are lots of skii stations, beautiful landscape, lots of shops and a really good spa with thermal waters called Caldea that I really recomend to go

I went to Andorra two years ago, in August to be precise. Not so many people know about this country, especially in my country, so I was lucky enough to have had the chance to visit this country even though it was only a day trip. The trip took around 3 hours by car from Barcelona, and yes it is indeed a heaven for shoppers. I bought two Acqua di Gio's and got two free cable car tickets to Vallnord in La Massana😁 Would definitely come back to Andorra to do more shopping with its beautiful mountainous scenery!😆
I know Andorra from our wintersport holidays in the early 00's. We came by car from the Netherlands. Its nice to combine skiing and tax-free shopping.
My Grandad went to Andorra in the 70s and bought a calculator tax free lol, back when calculators were fancy new and expensive technology. Saved a lot of money, and it's still here today and used occasionally.

Great video! You should spend few days in Andorra to know the whole possibilities that will offers. There’s stunning nature to discover, culture and awesome events there, even for normal (non rich) people. It is true that you have to get the info before getting into place, otherwise you can perceive as there’s nothing interesting happening.

Andorra la VeLLa*, double L is not the same sound as Y in catalan. But definitely Veya sounds better than Vela

I’m American and I did know it existed. In fact, I’ve been there. And the bus ride from Barcelona takes a lot longer than 3 hours! With traffic, it was more like 4-5 hours.

Andorra is not an urban place, you won’t get bored. There are plenty of roites which will really peace you out (if that’s even an expression). Recommend you to check them out

Well, European countries are fascinating with a lot of history, but they're rather popular already, having similar Western culture to North America, and lots of tourists.
You might as well focus on a country more unique, say Brazil or Indonesia.
