As a retired airline crew, I always enjoyed our multi day layovers in BKK. Great food, great people, interesting weather and as you said direct flight connections to the whole world. Good luck to you and your semi permanent home for now. We will keep watching your adventures.

Oh I am SO happy for you two!!!! Bangkok is an AMAZING city and I know you will enjoy living there!! I had a feeling your "home" would be somewhere in that area because it's just the perfect "hub" for your travels!! I can't believe how easy it was for you to get all that sorted!!! You are absolute legends when it comes to these things - but you have so much experience, so that was a huge benefit. That is a lovely flat!! The amenities are incredible for the price you are paying!! You can't even rent a one room studio WITHOUT those amenities here in the US for that. I'm also super happy to see Julia got a small oven. So regarding the visa, we have to do a visa run every month same as everyone really. I think we can get an online visa for 2 months and possibly can extend it for one more months without crossing the border. When we were researching about long term visa, we didn’t fit the criteria and didn’t have that kind of money to get it ❤️
But as we are going to leave a lot for prolonged periods of time to travel and film , we won’t need to stay much longer than 2 months at a time or just do a border run I guess 😊

I cannot get over the price , here in Washington state a 400 sq ft home runs about 1,300 a month or more! Your apartment is so cozy ❤️💙
When you start to travel around to some countries, you realize just how overpriced stuff is in certain places. USA, Canada to name a few. For the price of 1 months rent in Vancouver, we can rent a place often for 4 or 5 months. And that is just the start of it. Food and almost everything else is far cheaper as well. We can live for $25 a day. That's for 2 people.

You guys made a good decision. Awesome condo and good value for $660 USD. I live in NYC and that is the standard size of apartment most people get as singles or couples. It's just part of big city living. You're not going to be in your apartment all day anyway. Your apartment is just like your bedroom when you live in a big city and the city is your living room. Plus you have all of the amenities in the condo like the pool and coworking area. That's where you can enjoy the space.
That’s very true! I think it’s enough space for the two of us (thankfully we are pretty short) and we have some garden areas and the gym to go to!

I think that's a very good price for the Life One. It's in pretty much the most expensive area of Bangkok. You really got such a great deal, well done! I personally didn't vibe with Life One that much (I found it really busy in the common areas!) and actually sometimes prefer the slightly older condominiums haha, since there are often more regular Thai professionals living there who tend to be quieter. But your place is super nice, you did so well. Enjoy!

WELCOME TO THE KINGDOM OF SMILE. 💥🙏🌸 Those 2 condos are pricey at first, comparing to RAMA 9 district, another corner of BKK with the same shopping centers, the famous Jodd Fair, famous electronics center etc. But when I look at the decor, the spectacular view and HIGH END FACILITIES, I just WOW!! It is worth every THB.👍👍👍
