- Compact Flash Installation in an EMU Ultra Sampler..UPDATE! Im using a 32gb CF card and its working fine. Sometimes when scanning thru the files on the CF i do get "illegal error crash" At some point i may well install this into the floppy connections just to see. ...Mechware U.S. a4000t.com is the place for these and Mike is the man with the plan! As promised i done this video to help hes customers after he spent alot of time helping me do this.

Ive been hotswapping since ive installed it and it seems fine..Other people have been too. It depends what makes you more comfortable..I have read some poeple saying you shouldn't...
yeah the good thing with the CF is you can just back it up in a few seconds on the computer... I use a folder sync app to image the cf card to a folde ron the computer too..
I have a 32 Gb CF card in my E-mu Platinum, and it's recognized by OS (4.70)
FYI the card is a Kingston Elite 133x and works like a charm.

and yes i know about emusonacid. i'm using 3.01 and have yet to upgrade the ram. i figure that if I have it open why not go all out and do a few upgrades.
Id love to mate but its a time issue... Im sure there are plenty of hints and tips from people on here ive seen a few good ones. if i discover something worth sharing then no doubt i will...

i think its 136gb max size...im not sure if the E-synth has sample inputs...

Ive noticed you have a 8 output option board ive managed to get one, it has all the other cables but it hasn't got the main power cable (from option board to the main mother board) you would happen know what the connections are or where I could get them from??

peas..
try taking the floppy out and try again...putting in a hard drive is pretty straight forward.. If you are using aPc and are connected via scsi there are probably a load of software apps you can use... I use a mac so i cant suggest any..

Hi, what's the maximum gb size accepted by e6400 and the ultra version. I also have an E-synth (non-ultra version). What's the difference?
Great video..got question a for u i cant get my emu to boot up keep getting checksum failed and havent got floppy to boot from any ideas of what to do next please.. ta..Also do you know of any videos of how to put a hard drive in my emu 6400 ultra making it possible to link it up to my pc ?

No this is the only one. They seem very hard to get hold of now. There are many that work though

I would get yourself a floppy and try reloading the OS and see if that fixes it.

Hi pal. Looks real good. compatibility wise i wouldn't be too sure. I think you could make that work tho..
