Woody Yep. It also shows what just a bit of planning will accomplish. I especially like the " We made a good enough run, will bank it and get on the road in case we have problems. In 86 , sponsored by Truesports, Bobby Rahal won the Indy 500 . Eleven days later Jim died of cancer, he was 51.
It's so weird seeing them have issues finding E85. They need to do Drag Week in the midwest (especially the corn belt). I can find about a dozen gas stations with E85 within 5 miles of my house. The closest station with E85 was within 17 miles of Concord.
Dude, the Cresta is SUPER impressive! Rock up to a track, dump the trailer and rhe tire pressure, run a freaking 9.26 in 1 pass and hit the road again! That is incredible!
I really like how Benny and Al have a plan and are sticking to it. Couple passes if needed and taking a good time instead of chasing every last 1/10th of a second. Great way to make it to the end and place well. Harder plan to stick to than it seems
I'm loving this series. I grew up in north GA so I spent some time in GA, TN, SC & NC. While I like the drag racing bit, I have to admit I appreciate seeing all the shots during the "on the road" bits.
Ive gotta say that cresta is a miracle in modern shed engineering, its so awesome to see it pull a trailer and then run low nines, and the whole family packs in and heads to the next stop
