Marty hit the nail on the head - the live or near live videos from Drag Week were 'neat' but the story you told about the journey was some of the best content I have seen about drag racing - all of Motorsport! Best from Drag Week, easy win. Of course, I'll need to watch this again with my daughter tomorrow, she is a huge fan!
i cannot stand watching the live feeds of drag week, but i watched and rewatched the Cresta Vids. It was fantastically edited. The pacing was great, the music was great, the vid/audio quality was awesome. Thank you for quality content, but also, thank you for sharing that awesome adventure!
The five of you in one room are five very talented people, you all work incredibly hard to produce the content that you do and the Cresta series was awesome.
The Cresta vs. Dragweek videos were shot and edited in a very satisfying, grounded way. It was honestly a bit magical. I'm glad I could watch it as each episode came out "live" (or the closest youtube equivalent).
To all the young folks out there wondering why this video makes you so happy, it's two things. Passion and support. All 5 of these guys genuinely love what they do and they support each other. This is what we should all be striving for in life. A passionate and supportive group that lifts each other up to achieve goals and chase dreams. All 5 of you deserve massive amounts of credit and should be genuinely proud of everything you've shared with us over the years. You all deserve every bit of success you've achieved together, and we're all so appreciative of allowing us to come along these journeys with you! Keep up the great work!!
1, the series was utterly fantastic and everyone watching mustve been in awe of every aspect from the car, the guys, the filming and moog... the music was fucking spot fucking ONNNNNN ! I mean fucking hell how can youtube and cars get much better than MCM and skid factory? It cant for me ! buzzing
WHOAAAA thank you turbo yoda for mentioning the fact that skipping ad's stops the revenue, i always figured the ad counted regardless. For you Al I shall not skip any more ads.
Thanks for such an awesome series guys, your best series work since the double unicorn (Turbos & Temples 2 being your best movie work). Now, bring on the destruction of 2WISTD by 2SEXY. 👍😈😈😈
I love that you're giving all the book proceeds to Reach Out. As someone with mental health problems themselves, it's great to see others helping people like me.
I extremely enjoyed watching the Cresta video series, nothing had me more excited to sit down and just give my full attention to each episode. The cinematography and story was great, it was thrilling without being dramatic, and the production value is one of the highest of the latest series and I absolutely loved it. Legends.
I just wanted to compliment the audio editting. That's so thoughtful to use only the mic audio from the person that's speaking. For example, when Benny is talking and Marty is just saying "mhm" you can hear it only in the background as his mic audio has been muted. Great job! It's this kind of attention to details that makes all your videos so awesome. Also, the Drag week series was just awesome! Great job Woody on the camera work, and also great job edditors, for the story telling.
Credit where credit is due the quality of the videos you guys put out is second to none, especially recently, crest vs drag week, turbos and temples and of course mcm and skid factory. And gotta say the visuals for the dragweek series rival anything ive seen. Finally, we all know that the real evo will chop the living shizawoka out of 2wistd, put your hands up.....
yes Moog, still love that awesome atmospheric synth of the Cresta intro, and yes I believe you should make a full length version of it... do yourself and us (your fans) a favour
Outstanding series - all of you, Benny, Yoda, Woody, this was excellent work, and the poor catering team who's own car was stuck in customs are inspirational - some would consider their week ruined from the start, but they sucked it up, mucked in, gave you guys a huge boost by saving you time so you could work on the car more......what a story! I never 'got' drag racing, races too short, seems too easy just going straight, etc, but this really opened my eyes to the spirit of drag racing, and the effort and skill that goes into 'just going straight' in extreme conditions like this - good fricken' job, and hats off to the catering crew - have a bloody like, sirs!
Somewhere on the net a person did a turbo Toyota V12 in a Mercedes. The engine promptly blew up on the dyno breaking a rod. These engines apparently can't take much boost. A Mercedes M120 from a early to late 90's 600 series car would have potential, it is 1/2 of a M104 in line 6 and these can get big power even with a stock bottom end. The M120 was also used in the Pagani Zonda Look up Turbo Bandit in the net for turbo M104 stuff.
AL thanks for the "don't skip the adds, that is how we get paid" comment. That kind of honesty is what makes Skid factory such a unique channel among these "youth channels"
Great wrap up. Thanks for all the awesome content last year, it gives the rest of us something to look forward to and some of us something to strive towards.
Mighty Car Mods/ The Skid Factory/ Cresta vs DragWeek and the almighty Unicorn Circuit are the golden standard on youtube for car shows in my opinion. I love the way all the videos get edited. It feels so good to follow people that have such great hearts and love cars so much. - Cheers from Miami, FL!
You guys are the most real and down to earth people on UA-cam. As a young qualified mechanic myself I look up to Benny, Al and Woody in the hopes to be as skilled as they are one day and I admire the commitment of Marty and Moog to their videos and the quality they show in each video. Keep it up guys you are all doing amazing work and make the best videos on UA-cam.
You guys are absolute legends and a huge congrats on running the series the way you did. I love that Cresta. Alan+Woody pleasepleaseplease film some of your dirtbike runs?
I think I speak for all of not most when I say we are down for everything u guys wanna do. We wanna see it all!! Build offs just everything lol we love all you guys
Truly love the fact that you all, between all the cool media and channels, are as good with music as you are with cars, production, etc . . . Truly impressive, thoroughly entertaining and educational. Love the community spirit/support, too . . . Great stuff! All the best!
Crests vs drag week and turbos and temples 2 were the best thing I've watched in a long time. Oh and are you selling cresta vs drag week tshirts and if so how long are they going to be on sale, I want to buy a couple but I have to wait a week from now to get paid.
Love to see how far y'all's framily has came from day one. I started following MCM way back when I think it was that I was searching for a how to for auto painting or something but I'm glad that you are all still here and blowing my mind constantly with new builds or random knowledge about engines I'll never work on since I'm in the states but nevertheless keep up the shenanigans lol
You guys should be proud of all that you did in 2018. Thank you all so much for keeping a old ballie from South Africa entertained every weekend. Wishing you all a blessed and prosperous 2019.
What a fantastic group of people you guys are. Sharing doing what you love and in a humble way, while supporting a charity that really helps people out. Long live The Mighty Car Mods family, you are bloody awesome, much respect. I've been doing voluntary audio stuff for kids for 20+ years now, and it's great to see those who feel dis-serviced due to mental or physical issues evolve as young people and get some real joy, and a "product" of their own doing to show to friends and family. It could be a simple "karaoke" recording to a full ensemble of kids with their first band just thrashing around and making noise. The quality of their performance isn't important, the fact they get a huge buzz from showing what they can achieve with support, to start with, then let them go ham with their new found confidence and knowledge... Feels good man.
a MCM Skid Factory and Benny team build would be outrageous and really cool to see all of you collab on one single project would blow our minds 13 galaxies away, make it happen
I can't stand drag racing, but loved the Cresta series, It's all about the story, and what a story. All of you at MCM, Skid and MechStig are pushing out awesome content. Keep it coming.
Why limit the teams? I reckon open it up so other Aussie Car UA-camrs can join in on that...I would love to see MCM vs CARNAGE vs MotiveVideo for example. 👍 $3000 to spend total, losers to sell their cars and donate the proceeds to the winners charity of choice. 😎
The Dragweek series was one of, if not the best car show series I've watched. Well shot, well edited, well done. Thanks again for all of your time and effort, it was appreciated. I hope you get back to Dragweek in 2019, but that's a hefty price tag.
I was at the Bristol stop of Dragweek , I believe that Benny Woody and Al had already hit the road towards Atlanta Dragway. Love watching The Skid Factory. Awesome content and great personality. Thank You Mates for sharing your adventures with us.
To be able to produce the entertaining high quality and massive quantity of videos on such a regular basis is amazing, you guys do a brilliant job. Each one of you is a role model to the youth and the wider car community. Outstanding work and hopefully a great 2019 for MCM, UC, Benny and the Skid Factory!
Absolutely loved the Cresta series. Woody good work on that camera. Ignore the haterz! That intro graphic and music was glorious. You guys were obviously having fun and that series gave a very unique glimpse into drag week. Cheers from America!
Speaking of challenges I would love to see you guys on ICE. It would be awesome to see how aussie boys handle -15C with its reliability issues, unforeseen challenges and FUN! It has been awesome decade to follow your work and progress, keep being magnificent and inspiring.
Great shows guys. I'm stuck fixing everyone else's cars for a living so I don't have the time to build my own. So it is great seeing others doing stuff I would love to be able to do for myself.
Huge respect for all the boys involved on that series. Woody, you did a great job and your passion showed results. People loved the series. I never was interested on drag racing, let alone drag week. But thanks to this detailed series I understand what all teams must endure and how much of a hard work it is. Finally I can now see that drag racing is not just smashing the throttle. Lot more technical than that.
So much talent in close proximity is dangerous. You could create a black hole of Awesomeness and end the universe as we know it. Be CAREFUL. Too much respect to all you guys is not possible. DRAGWEEK was so much fun to watch and wait for. All the shooting, editing and yes, the music, was top notch beauteous and beastly. Kudos to everyone. Wish I could ride along but watching was a lurker's fancy place. Good on ya. (Ya'll)
Guys!!!! Absolutely brilliant work by all of you! Please keep up what you do AND the way you do it. I’ve been watching you for many many years and this is is great entertainment. Real personalities, great dynamic and epic wrenching! A sincere thanks for everything. Joe
Such a fantastic group of guys! Cresta vs Dragweek has been some of the best content I have seen on UA-cam in recent memory, seeing a new episode pop up was such a treat. Such a genuine experience - the knowledge, focus and actual investment that went into it is just inspiring. Turbos & Temples was amazing, Dragweek was amazing, all of the series put out recently have been amazing. Seriously looking forward to the future of the team. Making big moves! Great stuff guys!
I never really knew how UA-cam paid on videos. I haven't posted anything. But, due to Al's comment about NOT skipping Ads, and due to the respect I hold for you folks (Al, Blair (love your music), Marty, Benny, even Woodrow) I am no longer skimming. I am watching through all the Ads for your videos and many others. I'm Canadian, our dollars are very close in value. They all count.
Just wanted to say thanks of all the hard work you all put in. I REALLY enjoy all your channels and look forward to all of your new adventures, builds and general funny times. My girlfriend hates that I spend so much time watching you all but it must be a bloke thing 😀 Keep up the good work guys.
Dudes your guys are awesome with the whole don’t this for money and crap. That you’re all just good mates. I’m sitting smiling at your jokes and and enjoying the conversation like I’m part of the family. Thanks for the feels! Cheers. Been watching like a year after you first started.
Al and Woody really are great together. Woody getting the question "How was it in the US? " - 5 minutes and 1 million words later Al gets the same question - replied "I loved it" period 😁
Just here to leave a big thumbs up! I have just finished watching the Dragweek series for the second time now. Really nice and chilled to watch. Very looking forward to DW 2019.
Just wanted to say Thank You for the Infotainment this year from all 5 of the Gentlemen here today! This is the only group of videos that I dont click skip on the ads.
Great to hear how you went about to make the series, very intresting! And at 13:59, thanks for clearing the music situation up. Hopefully there's even more good music to come!
Best way to explain my thoughts, I always look forward to all your projects. And each of you brings a important piece of the "big picture" to create great videos. Great work, you guys should be proud. And THANKS.
I didn't think I would enjoy this video but it's great to get the behind the scenes motivation and the discussion. Well done guys, keep up the great work
Building cars like that for a job would have been a very satisfying career for me, had I met the right people instead of just assholes. Good on you guys for living the dream, and filming it, so that I can live it vicariously.
This series was so well done. I felt like I was there. It kinda reminded me too of road tripping to Summernats with my Mates 15 years ago. Thanks for the tip on the music, but I'm still hoping you guys consider doing a Dragweek soundtrack CD or something. So cool that Finnegan has that Barra now, can't wait to see what happens there.
3am est.... And I'm debating sleep or watching MCM. Can't think of anything else on the internet that I'd have to struggle with the choice. Keep being MAAAAAAAAD gentlemen!
@@nickdeavers5816 I get up for work at 7am when I don't have kiddo duty (school run) so it is pretty tough math lol - I know I'm spoiled with an 8am work start, but I'm only getting 1-2hrs a night since my daughter was born :) my 10yr old LOVES MCM too, not sure about my infant daughter, jury is still out... her mother was a card carrying Prius driver before I met her, so... we may have one of THOSE kids ;)
This is great, all 5 of you at one time. Hope you guys can do this again in 2019. I am a machinist, mechanic, auto body mechanic and painter. I have learned so much from all 4 of the shows. I feel confident to attempt a turbo LS for my 1971 chevy truck maybe even my 1993 f150 short bed truck. Look forward to all your content for 2019
Marty hit the nail on the head - the live or near live videos from Drag Week were 'neat' but the story you told about the journey was some of the best content I have seen about drag racing - all of Motorsport! Just gave me the fizz.

Live or near live vids are for someone that doesn't have a specific car / person to cheer for or a team that does not publish vids. .
I would never EVER have watched more than a single drag, but I watched every second of every episode. It was like having a road trip with the boys!
Just keep doin what you're doin. The sane part of the internet thanks you.
The insane part of the internet thanks them too, don't worry. 🤣😂
What a fantastic group of genuinely nice people.
We started on it the second we got back, it just takes ages to round it all up and get it out.
Finnegan needs to put the Barra in a Cuda..
👌
Into the 69 Mustang Pro-Street at Roadkill Garage & run it at drag week 2019
or his mates AMC Javlin wagon
The Barra needs to go in the Crusher Camaro lol
On a monday

Mind blown with the Finnegan footage.
Why?
@@sackarsch6572, it was just super cool watching them hang out and be normal with Finnegan - plus that he helped them out.
Can Benny get a series on mcm TV 2 as well?
Yeah.....Go for it Benny
He got he's own channel now! \o/

I can't be the only person who heard "Toyota V12" and "turbo" and got a little excited in the pants, right?
Toyota V12 (1GZ-FE) twincharged would give me a minor pants explosion o_O
Might need to bring some spares.
I'm not sure Al has had the best experiences with turbo 1GZ. Might do one if we keep pestering him hahaha
In the most luxurious car on the planet?

I have just finished watching the Dragweek series for the second time now. Really nice and chilled to watch. Very looking forward to DW 2019.
Great to hear how much attention goes into all of this, and Moog being on the verge of nerding about synths.
lol
Love the music, it reminds of the 80s, traveling, freedom. Love you Al, Love you Bennny, Love you Woody, Love you Marty and Moog, you're amazing
Thanks for all the videos all you guys make! Bloody love you guys!!
Thanks mates for 2018, can’t wait for what is up in 2019 😀✌🏻
The Cresta Dragweek series was excellent. Looked forward to each episode.
Best way to explain my thoughts, I always look forward to all your projects. And each of you brings a important piece of the "big picture" to create great videos. Great work, you guys should be proud. And THANKS.
What to say!!!!!!!!
5 of the most AMAZING men on the internet!!!!!
ALL OF YOU ARE LEGENDS!!!!!
I said it..... there for it is official!!!!!
I didn't think I would enjoy this video but it's great to get the behind the scenes motivation and the discussion. Well done guys, keep up the great work
Cresta at dragweek was an awesome series guys.
Really nice way to conclude the series! Thanks guys for sharing your journey with us!
Benny - I get it man... sold my Turbo Buick and used some of the money to fund my international Drag Week escapades back in 2016. Well done.
Man MCM et al have grown so much, such quality from Cresta, Turbos and temples, some sensational content!
Awesome guys! What an awesome bunch of mates. Thanks for a great year MCM2 crew!
3am est.... And I'm debating sleep or watching MCM. Can't think of anything else on the internet that I'd have to struggle with the choice. Keep being MAAAAAAAAD gentlemen!
Ewing Fox I wake up to get ready for work at 330est so it’s an easy choice for me turn it on debate actually leaving for work lol
SA Fan, Loving to watch all the Shows during Lunch Breaks!! Epic Video's Guys!!!
You guys rock. Never stop loving cars, that's the end of the world as we know it.
Look forward to all your content for 2019
Mcm vs skid factory vs benny will be amaze balls. 😍😍😍
Fantastic work guys. You can all be proud of how your shows have turned out. Well bloody done.
This vid was unreal, you guys are legends, and so is everyone who has bid on the book!
