- 1,000 MILES OF DRIVING and averaging in the SIXES over 5 days - Drag Week 2014 CHAMPION Jeff Lutz Sr put on one hell of a show with his son Jeff Lutz Jr this year as they each piloted two of the NASTIESTS 1957 Chevy’s known to man. Both cars with twin 88mm turbo 692ci motor setups shifted by a Rossler 210 Transmission and a Gear Vendors Overdrive, but the “EVIL TWIN” (new build for 2014) weighing in 800 lbs lighter than “THE BEAST” and with slightly more power was the crowned champion of the event averaging 6.84 @ 212MPH for the 5 days of Drag Week driving over 1,000 miles in those 5 days! THE BEAST piloted by Jeff Lutz Jr averaged 8.27 @ 166MPH for the week. Junior is planning on bringing his NUTTY twin turbo V8 Honda Civic to the event in the future, see some teaser photos in this video of the build!
It was awesome to see Jeff finally make it to the top of the podium. Man has been busting his ass for years. Well deserved win.

White Widdow These are street legal cars in this video but they are racing on a track. That is why the Street Outlaws claim to be the fastest street racers in the country. Racing on a track is much different than racing on the street. If you watch the show you would know that Jeff Lutz (the man who won drag week in this video) lost to Dominator. That is a very different world of racing.
+laplante149 different types of cars. his car is prepped to run on a strip while the rest of those guys have cars prepped for the street. and that show is all set up and a bunch of shit anyway, no one really knows what times they run anyway on a real 1/4 mile. the times they did there is no tree and no times shown.
Jeff Lutz is such an awesome guy, he deserves all the success.

PaperPlate Mask they race them at different tracks all over and for drag week its a must that they drive the car from track to track each day and race them then head to the next track
Dude this is drag week! (Trailer) they have to drive those car s 1200 miles in a week and make pass's at 5 tracks.

Drove them both to the track. Pulled trailers with both of them. Ran 7s in one and 6s in the other. Jesus Lutz is a beast!

Yep, this video is 4 years old and we never get tired of watching Jeff Lutz's work. The Evil Twin made a name for herself when she outran Larry, Jeff now has his yellow ALL STEEL beauty teaing up the no prep guys. Jeff just has an eye for detail that few possess and it shows. Ryan is daymn fast and he has a top notch team ~ BUT Lutz,, LUTZ is in a different zone than is Ryan and we Lutz fans know daymn well Lutz day is NOW. Ryan knows Jeff is there,, BEWARE!

The first one (3800 lb one) has been around for years, participating in DW multiple times. The Evil Twin (3000 lbs) was built to take on the lighter composite cars that have been showing up to DW; like Tom Bailey's 69 Camaro that won in 2013.

might be a stupid question, but can some one tell me what's happening at like 4:01 when the car jolts forward a little?
they have whats called a bump box, its allows the revs/boost to be brought up before entering the staging beams , the car then gets "bumped" to move forward into the beams. As you can imagine attempting to move forward slowly and for a short distance while the engine is ready to launch makes it not so smooth ......and thats the why ya see the car doin what its doin

I've seen that 57 for a while now. There's a good reason why he chose that chasis just look at the wheel base he's competition is bringing not only is the polar momentum optimal for straights he can keep those 4 links more direct with out having to compensate for intersection points.

I got a 200hp Audi, being a gear head it's hard to not take off every once in awhile. But when the Supra comes out.. Thats when every traffic-light becomes a race to the next. If nobody is around.

Time capsule.Dose anyone remember the Golden Commandos in the early 60s? One car was a 63 Plymouth Hemi wagon and it was the tow car for the 63 Belvidere 2dr sedan Hemi drag car. well every once inawhile the would run at the same time and take turns winning. I worked with both those guys at Chrysler engineering
