Casinos are a grimy place to work and play. My daughter and wife both worked in a casino and maybe, the only other people the operators dislike more than the card counters are the employees, in my own opinion. They both left because it was a sad and soul crushing place to work.

They vary in quality, but this is more true than not. Professional casino gambling is far from glamorous. AP's do what they gotta do to get the money.
Everyone there is so uptight, and ill-tempered. It's not heaven, being surrounded by vaults of green on every turn.
I really don’t understand what is wrong with card counting. It’s a card game that has a limited amount of cards that can be played. If a person is intelligent enough to count the cards I call that skill and mastery of the game not cheating. What is the point of playing any game if you’re not using your brain to try and win.
At the heart of the matter is greed.
Casinos want ALL of the money and oppose anyone trying to stop them.

I agree what's the point in being exceptional at something 8f you can't be rewarded for it? We applause athletes for their exceptional skills and even pay them very well! Chess players spend years developing their skills gaining advantages to win through their intelligence! What's the difference? Video Gamers even though I don't really get why its taken so seriously, I'll admit when my friend was named the best player in the United States and like the third in the world. I had to show some respect for the achievement and I understood just how much time and dedication went into it for him to make it that far, I applause him for getting to that point! He's got a skill that he's basically A master at. But he hasn't been 86thd from playing just cause of how good he is at it! Honestly if these casinos were smart they would offer this guy A job working for them! Otherwise they're just gonna keep playing this game of cat and mouse rather than gaining insight on his tactics and upping their own game in trying to catch guys like him...?
It is the most un-American thing that is commonly accepted in our society--telling some, no, treating them like a criminal because they're simply and ONLY using their brain to play a game completely within the rules using information equally available to all players.

Casinos are a for profit business. Counting cards isn’t illegal and it’s incredibly difficult to be good at.

@@Sc9cvsd Couldn't agree more! I've tried and failed spectacularly to become a strong chess (and poker) player. Becoming a profitable card counter was dramatically easier for me. Ymmv.

The best advice I ever got was to not be in the casino for more than a hour. So if you're betting, make sure you parley Or double your bet that you just won It could be any given day that the casino doesn't make money and when they see a average Joe Go on the run the pit bulls will come over you either. Have a couple of all duty. Police officers walked through just to determinate you or to eliminate the room because they're losing money. And if you win big, don't come back for a while because they will be waiting for you.
Absolutely insane they would go to this level of hassle, they'd make great scientologists.

if you see the hole card you are going to change your betting, double down on 9 with dealer's up card is 10 normally you don't do that so pit boss might see that and now something is wrong here.

@@phoenix5054 casinos don't need to cheat. The casinos make money from every angle. Once you get hooked, they comp you every which way to get you to return.
They can cheat on russian roulette if they want or make slot machines tighter if they want, or they can name machines malfunctioning if they want.@@phoenix5054
what bet spread had man in this film ? 25-500$ is to low to achieve profit 200-400$ in one year, because EV with this spread 25-500 is about 100-120$ per hour only
He did have other methods than card counting. Hole card reading is insanely profitable. Tracking the shuffle does give the player an edge as well ... though very difficult and mistakes can be costly. May have had other methods as well that were not discussed. If he was playing 5 deck shoes with 2 decks cut off 120 an hour is generous at 25-500. Darrel Purpose would say the same!

I wonder how many of those 10% are AP or maybe break even players? Not everyone wants to be an AP pro and quit their day job to try and make six figures playing AP. A lot of people would be perfectly fine if they can break even or make a little bit on their family vacation to Vegas, at least know they're playing even or small edge

Blackjack is truly the ONLY game the casinos really dont like bc of card counting. I actually have no issues go into the casinos here in Central America bc Blackjack is not as a popular game like slots or Texas Hold Em which players love.
So when I go into a casino here the PIT bosses leave you alone just as long as you are not being disruptive. They even let you use your cell phone on the floor. Im surprised these players dont venture out more outside the states. I even card count online bc its easier to use my card counting app.

Two hands, both doubles against a 6. Dealer makes 21 after player DD's on a soft 18 to 20, gets 12 on the 11. Either way dealer has the ace.

It’s dead now. Good luck against the continuous shuffle machine and 6-5 blackjack. Soon it will be even money blackjack. Try beating that with card counting.
There are more than enough 3-2 tables don’t worry. Casino won’t make money if they change the rules too much because no one will play. CSM machines are rare because they are expensive and maintenance is as well. They aren’t very common. Automatic shufflers are fine (just like poker tables have) because it saves the casino time from having a dealer shuffle. Just stay away from CSM

Unfortunately, until the DOJ get involved, or investigate, these State license casinos are no different than Al Capone era gambling joints. The patrons have no rights, especially when these state control boards are in bed with them. Greed is the new G-word.

You're right, but the majority of American casinos still don't use CSM's. They're expensive, and players don't like them, non-advantage players included.

Plesae explain how that occurs AND explain how adding a player to the table or a player adding an extra one to two hands, doesn't mess up the inserted deck. This should be interesting.
@@scottparrish7244 Yes, I worked at a Casino that would sometimes take out 1, 2 s too mess up card counters. I ,also saw deck insertions in wich they would put a prearranged deck in the shoe. On the weekends the tables would be full. Yes Casinos do indeed sometimes cheat. I, have worked at two casinos so I know
