As a Kannadiga, we eat Ragi mudde and horsegram curry and black chana curry and amaranth leaves curry/stir-fry as staple food 😂😂 also til is used in little quantities in til laddu and we obviously eat paan, in fact our state is top producer of arecanut. Rajma isn’t popular here yet, but I have fallen in love with it and I make rajma often. And traditionally we have cooked tamarind based curries in soapstone cookware, very rich in calcium before they were discarded by people for being too heavy and switching to Aluminum. South Indian native cattle are mostly draught variety and low milk yielders, Feeling Massive respect to my ancestors for formulating such an awesome staple diet.

My mom had crazy pain in her legs due to calcium deficiency. Then she started consuming sesame.. 1 tsp at night, raw by chewing, and then 1 cup warm milk.. After 1 week her pain starts decreasing and now she rarely have pain.. Sesame is a great source of calcium.. People with other health issues can also take it without any worry
