Thanks for the comment and subscription (hint hint)! You could probably screw on a presta valve cap. However, I don't "true by touch" except in videos because prominent waves and hops are easily spotted without the indicator arms close to the rim. Enjoy your day!
Thanks but already suggested by me in a much earlier comment. Yeah, I don't true by touch except to make sounds in a video. Maybe I'll stop as viewers think it should be done.

brilliant. wouldnt be wise to put some plastic/ruber protection on the tips of the screws just to avoid scratching the wheel?

Or use the rounded end of the bolt to the wheel... Still metal on metal, but no sharp edges.
Good thought depending on the thread size of the indicator arm (bolt) one chooses. Thanks for the comment and subscribe!@@888timesmart

Thank you! Enjoy your evening.
Put some inner tube caps on the ends of those bolts that your rim will be scraping against.

Anyone want to see this DIY truing stand design compared with Park Tool TS 2.2?
Yeh I would. If it's just as accurate as Park Tool, you'll save me buttload of money.
@@deltafour1212 Ok! Lucky for you the stand doesn't achieve accuracy, the builder does.
If you like that music check out the band Two Feet.
