Didn't see anything in the first couple pages of comments, so a quick translation of the "help" block with the A button in it (which is pretty much just taunting the player): Beginner Play with cheats (literally: cheat play, this could be a reference to using save states) Intermediate Play normally (literally: ordinary play) Expert "No Miss" play (which probably means "play without dying") Man Play with A button on turbo (literally: A button turbo play)
Okay so the little speaker box at the beginning of the stage says (roughly): First/Beginning Stage Beginner Cheat Play Intermediate Ordinary Play Advanced (This part I am not sure on, I think it says No Miss, but that's just a guess Man A Button Turbo Play The Man could mean like expert I guess, like the hardest difficulty, but I am not sure. It uses "Otoko" which literally means man. Hope this helps, and somebody please correct me if I am wrong.
This was the first Beard Bros. episode I watched, and I immediately fell in love with the series and the channel. I think that this might also be my favorite UA-cam series of all time.

I actually have physical and audible reactions where you'd repeatedly die during any of the individual little segments. It's frustrating to watch you die over and over and over, but when you FINALLY get a segment done, it's so damn satisfying. This is seriously some kind of weird torture porn.
I accidentally click the subtitles/cc button. It makes it that much funnier. When he says "I'm a shroom now" at 24:15 the cc reads it as "Yeah amish room now."
Since you asked, that box is laying out tiers of how well you play. Goals maybe? It basically says you're a beginner if you cheat, intermediate if you're average (literally what it says, but I guess they mean if you finish without "cheating"), advanced if you do it without dying, and a man if you do it with the A button on turbo.
Oh geez. Love the new intro though, super awesome. I fear for your sanity with more Kaizo, but equally stoked that it'll lead up to awesome Mario Maker stuff :D

Wonderful, the intentiona brokenness of the game is just plain hilarious and actually its a very good puzzleplattformer in the out-of-the-box thinking puzzle-style.
