The fact that I've finally seen somebody complete one of the Kaizo Mario World ROM hacks without using save states is one thing. Seeing it done in under 40 minutes with the chillest man alive and Keyboard Cat is another.
Isharu Matsu Not really sure I understand your logic here. He glitches through one course and that upsets you, when the goal of a speedrun is to beat the game as fast as humanly possible? What he did is actually a glitch that can be replicated on the rope tiles, so it isn't cheating as glitches are considered acceptable in a speedrun (unless stated otherwise). Even if you consider what he did as cheating, he still beat every course in Kaizo Mario 2 without having to rely on savestates. That alone is an achievement in itself.

For those wondering at 6:50 the glitch is that if you are climbing a platform while its moving and the object (the rope) moves away from you, it acts as though you never jumped off the object and can continue jumping and climbing

I saw a guy last week list all the Japanese names of Pokemon while he was playing Kaizo Mario 64. I thought that was the least interesting commentary I'd ever heard until I encountered dram's chat about high school band.
KMW 2-1 is one of my favorite Mario levels. So clever how the level starts you right next to the exit, but then forces you to go through a bunch of other stuff in order to actually walk through it =P. Pretty clever level design in Kaizo 2 in general.
I can see soo much of panga's influence in these levels. I mean I can see where he got a lot of his ideas for his levels. Like tossing the block and YOSHI as you move along that platform, as panga did win the shells
I played in jazz band in middle school also. I was always super nervous because I was the only trombone player in the entire band. I had a lot of fun but it was a lot of weight to carry.
Since I'm a musician myself I can relate to you about being nervous on stage. At least back in the middle school days anyway. These days though I'm a full time musician and as sad as it sounds, these days I enjoy watching people like yourself play video games more than playing them myself last console I owned and played seriously was a PS2. Occasionally on my Mac I might run an emulator once in a while but is used mainly for work (musical work that is). Seeing some games that are coming out like the next Doom game and have come out like Super Mario 3D World does make me wish sometimes I was still a gamer though. Anyway you are an awesome speed runner. The regular Super Mario World must be child's play to you.
