This game kind of reminds me of the thing Alex mentions a lot when they play RPGs about the game world not having any regard for the player. It's not that the game isn't designed to seem independent of the player; quite the opposite, the whole level is built meticulously around the player. However, this game is so inhospitable that it doesn't look like it was made for humans. The game, similar to the harder levels of Cloudberry Kingdom, is built around where the player is at what time on what I can only assume to be a near frame-by-frame basis. By the careful and beautiful arrangement of hazards, it removes every possibility outside of the path the developer has chosen for the player. If you see some space to relax and move around or to approach an obstacle in more than one way in Kaizo Mario, it is an illusion. This game is all about learning to see one path, and that path alone.That's why conviction is such an important element of execution in Kaizo Mario. The game refuses to allow you to reconsider. It's like the developer wants the player to see things from his perspective. Also, I believe in you Jirard. We all do.
Dusty Rhodes The thing I find with Cloudberry Kingdom is that if you stop moving, you tend to make to more difficult for yourself. Most levels come down to keep moving and react. This comes down to mroe luck and trial and error than that.

I was hysterical for like 3 minutes during the Jigsaw thing, and then for some reason I started laughing uncontrollably when Jirard called the rope a "food chain." And then Alex gasped the melody to "Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting." Please guys I'm gonna have a heart attack.

There actually was a TI-calculator version of Mario that passed through my highschool when people were playing those games. I think it was to us known as Mario X. It was pretty hard to involving many moments like these hacks where you have to go up tempo and use falling gombas for boosts.
