Old Dresser gets an UNBELIEVABLE restoration & makeover

  • Who loves a good before and after?? This worn out, beat up, stinky old dresser was definitely resurrected. It took a few days longer than expected but that walnut woodgrain is singing once again, with just the smallest bit of paint to really set it off.
There is also a rescue bunny update, and I show you how I sharpen my scrapers, patch veneer, and use an ozone machine for the first time.
I hope you enjoy this insane transformation!

As a woman woodworker for over 25 years, I am so happy to see another woman sharpening her tools. This is the first time I've ever seen it done in any video that I've watched. Also, this is the first video of yours that I've watched and I'm so glad to see you didn't use oven cleaner to "strip" this piece. Oh, and thanks for not killing the spiders. I evict them also and never kill them.
So, to recap: A woman who sharpens her tools, strips wood the right way and doesn't kill spiders. Awesome!

I'm a furniture addict. I hate new furniture and am always looking at 2nd-hand old. I managed to restore an old desk/card table from solid black neglect to find it had all inlaid wood! I'll die proud of myself for that & we have used it for cards and get-togethers now for decades. It's just so great to bring the beauty back. You outdid yourself here!

I've been a subscriber since I discovered your channel, while languishing in hospital after breaking my hip. --- I think your narration, and the love and good humour in your voice, is probably the best of all the "restoring" videos. I happen to come across your channel the other day . I am hooked. This one actually made me quite emotional. Because emotionally and physically I feel like I was that beginning piece left in the barn to rot and eventually get thrown away. And then to see how you were able to save it from the garbage and make it beautiful again, made me realize that I can be like that too. And instead of keep covering myself up in paint (metaphorically speaking). I believe that the Lord can do for me. Emotionally and physically heal me from my past. And can fix me up to be even more beautiful than when I started. Plus to have the age and wisdom that I am learning from all my experiences in life that may have caused a lot of the scratches and pieces falling apart. I hardly ever comment or even watch UA-cam with videos like this. But this touched me inside. Thank you for giving me a new outlook that I didn't see before. I'm sure you weren't expecting a response as such as this. But you never know how you might be able to help somebody with what you do. You may only think that you are refinishing furniture and keeping it out of the garbage, but you've given me hope that I can be saved from the garbage as well. And I love what you do for the bunnies. We raised bunny rabbits when I was a child on our farm. And I've always had a pet bunny so to see somebody else caring so much for something that's so little in this big world is very encouraging and a blessing. Thank you again have a wonderful and blessed day
