The mate sending pups into the den is genuinely super useful! It was definitely a bit annoying to have your mate start following and then having to turn around yourself to put the pups in the den. Very cool update
this! Or your mate joining you when you don't want them to, so going back either way. I haven't played the game in a while but with every new update there's new little QOL things that makes me SO happy to jump back in, and this is one of them
Yes lol it was pretty annoying because when I see a rabbit near my den I go to get it and my mate follows me and I get an alert that my pups are exposed lol

Don’t know what this update is about yet but can’t wait to learn! Ooooo, yes! That sounds great! I like how you can make your wolves bigger or smaller soon!
I think its already out? I havent checked it myself yet but at the end of the video he says ´these improvements are now in public beta in version 1.1.b out on steam for mac and windows. Hopefully this will be a fairly short public beta´
Oh my goodness, y'all never disappoint with these updates! I think this is absolutely amazing and I can't wait to use these new features for creating wolves in video series! Y'all have safe trips and thank you so much for making such a beautiful game!
I really love that character customization options are being expanded! I did see this feature being suggested a couple of times, glad that it got added :)
t's the little things that make some games so much better like wolfquest it is amazing how far the game has come over the years and i hope we all get to see saga sometime in the future.
I’ve been wondering about size now for awhile, it’s great to see it coming to the game. And I’m also really happy about your mate woofing pups back in the den, it gets kind of annoying when they follow you but leave the pups out
1:54 yes! Yes! YES! Now that they wander further, I wanted a way to call them over to me when they get too far/spread out! THANK-YOU! Edit: Just realized that this probably means runts will actually grow up small! This is awesome!! And thank goodness mates will woof at pups now. I have a mate who was getting to be quite a nuisance about starting to follow, deciding, "Nah I'll stay with the pups," only to double back toward me again.
I think another useful feature to add is for the game to pause when you pull up the emote wheel so there's time to use emotes. It'd be really nerve wracking to quickly pick an emote when there's a pair of stranger wolves running right towards you.
I can’t wait! I’ve always wanted more customizable sizes especially with players wanting to be different sizes and having to say their sizes in their bios.
Love the work the dev team is putting into this game, it's amazing how you guys do the research and stuff to make the game more realistic. And this recent update is amazing, I've been enjoying it. However I do have a possible suggestion for the future; Revised family tree. I think the one we have right now is good because it smoothly displays each litter belonging to a wolf. But I think it could be cool if the more you expanded (playing as your pups and their pups, etc. going further down the family tree) the game would show the parents, but then the fully grown pup and their mate's litter or connecting siblings onto the tree too and their possible mates. I do understand this could be complicated and hard to code/design, it was just a mere idea I've had since I've been working on growing the family of a wolf I had :)
Oh, i made some similar comments on steam when the wolf randomizer randomized size. I honestly almost forgot i did. It wasn't necessarily something i wanted to see changed, but at the same time, i'm glad. Changing it wasn't even on my mind at the time. Thanks for adding that little feature where we can set our size without effecting strength! I am also glad that the mate will woof pups into the den now before following the player. It was also annoying when the matr would come with the player and leave the pups exposed, so the player either had to turn around and woof the pups inside, or woof at the mate to send them back to the den
This is amazing! I remember a lot of people in 2.7 making their wolves really weak or strong to be certain sizes and they didn't have proper bios to say their size just GRS, Its also so great to finally see the bark a useful aspect of the game as it is in real wolf lives. Keep up the good work and stay healthy!
The mate sending your pups into the den or hiding is so cool, I can finally hunt by myself then call my mate over to go eat without having to bring food chunk back for my mate then go back for food chunk for myself to feed pups (so its a good way to minimise fleas by having them out of the den why you are hunting and only inside for a short time when feeding your mate and heading back) (also let me just say I am so happy that the wolf quest team really cares about its player opinions and strives to make the best game possible because it really shows, this game is amazing and exactly what I imagined and wanted years ago when I played the old game, its so wonderful in so many ways.)
when you double howl to call your mate from a long distance, they already send the pups into the den (provided there's no other issues) This is for when the mate tries to follow you.
Wait, you can leave your mate with the pups outside and they won't be exposed? Do predators not show up or does the mate send them inside when something shows up?
Quick Q, Is there any plans to allow players to expand our pack with wolves that are not just our older pups? (Siblings of our mate/wolf or maybe some other dispersals if wolves do that?) Also Loving these new mate behaviours and im glad to see the bark have a funtion now!
THANK YOU FOR THE MATE SENDING THE PUPS INTO THE DEN. I dont know if its a glitch or just my computer, but i cant move my mouse when i hold 'E' so therefore I cant use most emotes. I kept going back go the den and leaving until my mate stopped following every time, so this is extremely helpful. Thank you. ❤
I'm very excited! I can not believe on how far this game has reached, it has reached such a awesome point! Also, the size thing would be more helpful because I have 2 wolves that I imagine are small in size, so that will be helpful especially with genetics. The thing where the mates woof pups inside the den when they want to come with you is also very helpful too, because often times when I leave and the mate wants to come with me they never woof the pups inside :,D
i love wolfquest because they actually implement features the players want. i genuinely appreciate everything the wolfquest developers do for the players :) keep working hard! 💗
Been wondering when they would change how wolf size is measured, also happy we can use the bark emote to get pup's attention. Can't wait to try this and can't wait to see what you've got for us in the next patch!

I have a very unique idea! unsure if you read comments or even consider fan ideas but… assuming you’re all busy with different updates I would still like to share my idea. *Forest Fires* The games goal is to be a realistic wolf game, im assuming and know that wolves sometimes go through forest fires. I think it would be interesting and fun to see trees and logs struck by lighting, and setting fire, sometimes spreading sometimes not. Then, we’d have to get the pups and evocative the area, heading towards water or a field away from trees. Any carcasses left could be almost gone depending on difficulty and any pups who lag behind and get caught in the fire, if rescued before death, when they grow up they would have burn marks to make sense. And of course achievements for successfully surviving a fire from sleeping it out in one of the safe areas or letting it die down. And maybe some for pups dying, mates dying, mates dying from saving a pup, the player dying. And like dens flood, the den you were at could be destroyed and you’d have to find a new one. A sand den might be safe mattering where it is. A tree den could get destroyed if it gets caught fire by spreading or is even the first tree struck. Thus making you find another den. If it’s a thunderstorm, you can sleep it out to avoid a forest fire, or risk it, as since the “consequences” of a forest fire, they could be rare. Thus the pups new behaviors AI’s, apart of forest fires, newborn pups can yet be clumsy and curious, causing a threat to everyone’s lives. Older pups may also be curious and try to figure out what’s going on. Overall the heat and the pace you’re trying to get out could cause the pups to want to explore or run, mattering on their personality. Other animals, ALL animals are also trying to get away, causing stampedes and running mammals, which would not necessarily try to eat the pups at the moment but get away and possibly stomp on them. The ash, dust, and debris could also cause food and animals to not come back for awhile, thus having you to search for food. All territory not just the players be weakened for however long the fire lasts. Dispersal wolves and maybe even pack wolves also running, they wouldn’t try to attack you until safety, but matters on their personality. Things could be burned greatly and has the black burned affect (lost river?) I was thinking slough creek and I could see it working on amethyst mountain since it’s dry and a lot of trees, unsure about how lost river would work though. This is just an idea of mine and I have no intention of the team even reading this heads off considering it since I made it very complex. Let me know if you guys already had this idea but yours is simpler! Sorry for writing so much i don’t expect you to read at all but I hope the team has a good day/night and continue making the greatest game alive better!
One thing I might want to see myself is year-to-year challenges and boons: high mosquito year leads to more illness, drought year makes fewer but weaker elk, high rabbit population year, too many bears year, temperature based metabolism ect, lots of work but a wishlist nonetheless. fire would fit well for WQ
I've lost so many pups to my mate just leaving them out in the open to tag along with me when i was intending to head off on my own, so glad to see that fixed! And the bark is so useful to get them all in one place instead of having to woof them into the den and then squeak them out again :) Great QoL changes, we love to see it!

Very exciting! Will the wolves fur texture and ear/mouth movements get updated? Ex:canine ears rotate back so the ear lays flat back with the opening facing down against the neck instead of facing up towards the sky when they howl. Or the lips pushing forward for a rounded howl gape instead of just the mouth opening with no lip movement into and O -shape?
Thanks for making all our childhood dreams come true! Wokfquest was such a big part of mine and I love seeing how much it keeps improving and I love learning so many amazing things about Yellowstone and wolves in such a fun way!
Will there be carcass dragging? I feel like in multiplayer or with your mate, dragging a carcass should be doable (Or, just another feature, biting off a leg and carrying it / dragging it back at your den for example). It would be awesome and very, VERY useful
@@WolfQuestGame When will there be new updates? How long will it take to update the game so our first littler help raise our second litter and so on like real wolves? And some of our offspring stay but some leave to start their own pack? Also Will you announce it in a video when it’s ready?
Love this update! Very useful to have your mate bark the pups back into the den. May I suggest a way for your mate to mark territory? It always takes super long and I have to be away from my pups for way to long, so it would be helpful if I could stay while my mate goes out.
@@WolfQuestGame Please enter the Arabic language in this game because there are many Arab players playing your game and most of them are not good at English
The mate being able to send pups into the den when they come join you is such a great idea. It seems pretty tough to make an immersive simulator experience that limits player control, (you've stated before that you want to simulate the real life of a wild wolf, not make a Sims type of game out of it), but the mate always just like, abandoning the children always felt a little cold and careless on their part, so this was a good change! I also LOVE the new sizing system. I think it'll add a lot more range from a "character design" standpoint. Super cool!
I can't wait for the update :) I always have to woof my pups back in the den and finally mates can be helpful for something anyway, keep up the good work!
I’m a big fan of WolfQuest and have been playing it for years, the problem is, the anniversary version isn’t on mobile! That is annoying as I’m mainly on mobile. I hope your still planning to release it to mobile players :) Thanks.
Thank you, so very much, for adding this one thing. Making it to where your mate will go off and mark territory by themselves. It's. So. Useful. Perhaps you could add a voice command that basically asks them to go mark territory? If not, I understand. Great work with the game so far, and can't wait for future updates!
This is awesome!! With all the pup changes, will there ever be a way to see your pup's personality once you age them up and play as them? I personally have a hard time remembering my pup's personality traits and think having a way to view them once they're adults would be very useful! It could be like the size meter, where it can't be moved but is still visible to see what the wolf is like.
I'm happy to hear that your mate will woof the pups into the den before joining you, I've sometimes had to woof my mate to return to the den if they've decided to follow me when I planned on going out alone (thus why I left the pups outside). Also, I'd just like to mention I took down an adult male pronghorn! On the classic Lost River map, I cornered it with the town buildings.
THE MATE WILL SEND THEM INTO THE DEN IF THEY FOLLOW OH MY GOSH THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! I've got so many hours in the game and it's annoyed me to no end that they'll just sometimes decide to follow you and leave the pups out! XD Some mates do it far more frequently then others so you can generally guess pretty well if it's gonna happen but it's still annoying because I gotta go far enough that my woof only affects the mate and not the pups so they don't raise fleas while I'm gone. XD I greatly appreciate that addition.
Idea: Maybe let us see the pups personality in modify wolf, we still wouldn't be able to change it but it would be nice, it can be hard to see their personality as pups
Something that I think should be added to Mate interactions is that if you growl at them, they’ll stop eating food you brought back to the den. It gets a bit annoying when you bring back food for the pups, only for your mate to pick it up and eat it all elsewhere.
(NOT RELATED TO VIDEO) I want to thank the WolfQuest team for making such a well done game! I started playing when I was 7-8 and I absolutely loved it. I convinced my Mom it was amazeing and she liked it too lol. I played it for years, being one of my favorite games along with Roblox. Now seeing the new game and playing it is so great! I got to say, this game is the least money grabbing and most well developed game I know about. Thank you♡
End of Life for WolfQuest 2.7 for Android Due to new technical requirements by Google, WolfQuest for Android has reached its end of life and has been removed from the Google Play Store, and multiplayer is now disabled. The single-player game will continue to work for players who have already downloaded it and purchased in-app products, and they'll be able to download it again if necessary (with the same Google account.) For the time being, WQ 2.7 on iOS is still available and both single-player and multiplayer are still functional, as is the Mac/Windows version. We apologize for these changes, but technology marches on and with code dating back to 2007, it's no longer possible to keep the Android app updated.

i don’t have the public beta but i’m so excited for this next group of features!! especially the sizing thing, i’ve always pictured one of my wolves to be relatively small, but she remains the default size. for the pups, when they’re still pup pups and not grown up, will players be able to see sizing genetics then, or will it only show when the pups grow up?
@@WolfQuestGame Please enter the Arabic language in this game because there are many Arab players playing your game and most of them are not good at English
I'm so happy for the mate sending the pups to the den when following the player!!! I lost a pup recently because I left them outside thinking my mate was going to stay with them like she usually does but for what ever reason when I just needed to quickly grab some food from our near by carcass she decided to come with me leaving our pups unguarded. So glad I won't have to worry about that situation ever again! Also super exited to see what all the new behaviors and interactions that are going to be possible with the new AI system.
Any chance at updating the wolf's model and make them look more like an actual NA wolf and way less like a Akita Inu dog? Also, some in-between animais and inertia would be great. i know you're just a single DEV, but things like would greatly improove the immersion. I really like your combat system tho. In my opinion all Animal Sim/Suvival should have something similar to it.
Oh, I just got to the end of the video. When will you consider the game as completed? You're already past version 1.0, and it'll never be completely finished unless you stop putting out updates. Releasing the game on more platforms sooner than later would provide more income for further development of them game as well. And personally, I wouldn't mind the updates coming to consoles at a slower pace than on PC, playing catch-up or what have you. I also do understand that it might slow the overall completion of the game, but we're here for the ride ☺️ thank you for reading, and thank you for developing Wolf Quest 💚

And the bark is so useful to get them all in one place instead of having to woof them into the den and then squeak them out again :) Great QoL changes, we love to see it!
If the title is changed, this is the old one:

Very exciting! Will the wolves fur texture and ear/mouth movements get updated? Ex:canine ears rotate back so the ear lays flat back with the opening facing down against the neck instead of facing up towards the sky when they howl.
Or the lips pushing forward for a rounded howl gape instead of just the mouth opening with no lip movement into and O -shape?
I'd also like to point out that the head tilt for the howl, the howl isn't timed right lol They may consider it tho hopefully
@@jinx6573wdym timed?
Ahh thank you! The barking and your mate joining you is very useful, and the sizing is something ive always wanted! Keep up great work
Make a bark which sends yer mate out to remark up the hexes. So yer mate can mark up one side while ye mark up the other half of the hexes.
one of the first comments! love wolf quest and have been following the journey for around 7 years now!
ohhh my god the Bark emote effect is amazing. Holy smokes. Best best best part of this update by far. That's going to be SO useful.
I love this! The update is definitely super appreciated, and I look forward to seeing what else will be released the following month :)
The mate barking the pups into the den is actually so helpful
Thanks for making all our childhood dreams come true! Wokfquest was such a big part of mine and I love seeing how much it keeps improving and I love learning so many amazing things about Yellowstone and wolves in such a fun way!
Will there be carcass dragging? I feel like in multiplayer or with your mate, dragging a carcass should be doable (Or, just another feature, biting off a leg and carrying it / dragging it back at your den for example). It would be awesome and very, VERY useful
Are the bighorn sheep coming? Lol
Still on the list!
Mates do mark territory when they decide to :D

Awesome as always! Loving everything the team has done!
gods i miss this game. missed so many updates its gonna be great getting back into it. literally just waiting to get a good enough pc 😩
will there be more DLC coats soon?
I’m here a bit late but TYSM WOLFQUEST THIS IS AMAZING ONCE AGAIN!!!!
i just want to thank you for making this wonderful game its my favorite game and i play it all the time! ♥
2ft tall gladiator with 3 strength and 3 hp, sign me in.
Have you enjoyed your vacation? :)
This is awesome!! With all the pup changes, will there ever be a way to see your pup's personality once you age them up and play as them? I personally have a hard time remembering my pup's personality traits and think having a way to view them once they're adults would be very useful! It could be like the size meter, where it can't be moved but is still visible to see what the wolf is like.
i love it ❤ tysm for all your amazing work
THESE ARE SO USEFUL!!!!!!!!!!!
YEEESSSS BARKING IS USEFUL!!! I was hoping they would do exactly this! Lots of good quality of life improvements...!
I was like yay an update but then I realized I have to download it😭
YAY! This seems fun!
Great job as always!
Idea:
Maybe let us see the pups personality in modify wolf, we still wouldn't be able to change it but it would be nice, it can be hard to see their personality as pups
Omg, I love this already
I know this is dumb, but I really want to be able to age up multipleplayer pups like the ones I’m able to name.
Something that I think should be added to Mate interactions is that if you growl at them, they’ll stop eating food you brought back to the den. It gets a bit annoying when you bring back food for the pups, only for your mate to pick it up and eat it all elsewhere.
My wolf brawler 'became a widower' after his mate ate three full grown cow elk nearly on her own.
@@amandamimic2725 Lol
Yes the bark dose something!
Also I really like that the mate woofs at the pups before coming with you that's really nice
Also we'd like to see more emotes🎉
(NOT RELATED TO VIDEO) I want to thank the WolfQuest team for making such a well done game!
I started playing when I was 7-8 and I absolutely loved it. I convinced my Mom it was amazeing and she liked it too lol. I played it for years, being one of my favorite games along with Roblox. Now seeing the new game and playing it is so great!
I got to say, this game is the least money grabbing and most well developed game I know about.
Thank you♡
The thing I would like is somehow growth or aging being linked to coop gameplay 🙂
omg ths just makes me so much more excited to play the complete saga i cannot wait
Here before the title is changed gang
Same lol
yay! i can be smol now :D
I’d love to get this game -is it something that can entertain for a while?
When I’m in wolf quest 2.7 it won’t let me start or join a game in
multiplayer. I’ve been trying to fix it but it won’t work
End of Life for WolfQuest 2.7 for Android
Due to new technical requirements by Google, WolfQuest for Android has reached its end of life and has been removed from the Google Play Store, and multiplayer is now disabled. We apologize for these changes, but technology marches on and with code dating back to 2007, it's no longer possible to keep the Android app updated.

i don’t have the public beta but i’m so excited for this next group of features!! especially the sizing thing, i’ve always pictured one of my wolves to be relatively small, but she remains the default size.
for the pups, when they’re still pup pups and not grown up, will players be able to see sizing genetics then, or will it only show when the pups grow up?
omg!!! i love this, i love big ol wolves and i can finally make one!!
Hi will we be able to adjust the size of our current wolves (ones we have raised) or will their size be set to default
Pups you raised and made into playable adults have size set by their genetics and are not changeable (as shown in the devblog video)

is there gonig to be a new update soon?
YESSSS thank you guys!
Exciting and glad the mate will send the pups to the den if they follow you!
Love this game ❤❤
Yay now I can make a wolf with short man syndrome

I love these Videos 😌
Will Wolf Quest ever come to playstation? My girlfriend is dying to play the game. If this question has already been answered I'm sorry for asking 😅
@@spencermccoy895 Sorry for the late reply. I think the game will be complete once it is out of early access.
