If you're wondering why I say that "standing up in the wind" is one of the most strenuous things I've done: turns out my g-tolerance standing is even lower than when I'm sitting down. Things got a bit... fuzzy for me during one of the 2.5g pulls.
Hi Tom, is there any type of "panic button" in this situation? Say you thought you could handle it, but you feel something is really wrong once you're up there. Could you let them know that you wish to stop?
Hey, I will readily admit I was freaked out by roller coasters for a long time, though paradoxically fascinated by them. It wasn't until a physics course where our big trip was to a local amusement park that I forced myself onto a big coaster. Once I did that, it got easier to get on bigger and crazier coasters. Now I can't get enough of them! This part of the year actually kinda sucks for me (nb: end of october) since it gets too cold for parks to operate.

I'd say you're lucky to be able to do this, but you've worked so incredibly hard to get to the point of having these opportunities that luck probably hardly plays a part at all now.
It seems relatively expensive compared to a normal flight, but considering this might be the experience of a lifetime, it's actually not that expensive.
Never mind the description. Tom says it in the video. Why do people on UA-cam always comment but never watch the actual video? It boggles the mind, really.

As a non-pilot the only view I get from this plane is from the top wing and I have done so... twice! The second time was with loops and stall turns thrown in as can be seen on my UA-cam channel! There is nothing like the view from that top wing at up to 2,200ft!
i'm amazed how noone gets how easy it is to re-record audio in the studio and then add artificial, but controllable noise (like the sound of an engine and wind)
I have done this. About 10 years ago I won a competition and was taken on a bi - plane flight strapped to the top just like you.... didn't do loops but remarkably similar to going fast on a motorcycle...... another tick off the bucket list!

I can tell you from experience that there is nothing like the view from that top wing of that Boeing Stearman. Looking down on that propeller is awesome! I've wing walked twice on the very same plane at the same location as Tom. I went one step further than Tom because i've done high level loops and stall turns too. When you go upside-down it is absolutely fantastic! As Katie says in the loop you pull 4g and the acceleration from top (50 mph) to bottom (160 mph) is phenomenal. Both my wing walks can be seen on my UA-cam channel. If you get the opportunity to do it then do it! It's the best thing I've ever done. It even tops skydiving for me!

Interesting that Aerosuperbatics straps you onto the wing before you go up-- The one I just did, I climbed up onto the wing once we were ~3500 feet in the air. Definitely a thrill either way, but much more of a mental and physical challenge having to climb out there! I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
