Thanks for joining us on the emotional rollercoaster that is Lemons endurance racing and for making an amazing video! Heartbroken our race ended the way it did because of a mistake that has now earned me a lasting nickname, but it was still such a blast to race with everyone. Looking forward to the next one!
Thanks for joining us and making a great video out of it. I'm really impressed with how good of a driver Ben is but i'm honestly even more impressed with how well Luke is able to condense an entire weekend's worth of fun into a video that is really enjoyable to watch. Thank you and I look forward to hosting you guys at another Lemons weekend again in the future.
@@crxtodd16 It's a race car, damage will happen and thankfully one of the beauties of this drivetrain is that it is super cheap to replace. Tonya will race again soon.
Man I didn't even know there were other UA-camrs there! We were running the blue and orange pinto 16:47 Great cinematics and editing, you guys killed this video!!
This is classic Lemons racing right here. Finishing the race is really the main goal for any of these events. I think it took our team 3 tries before we were able to finish a race without breaking something on the car. But you guys really showed how fun these events are, and it looks like you got a serious contender with that MR-S!
The MR2 with the 2AR really does feel like that sometimes. The A052's are a huge part of that equation but the car also weighs under 2000lbs so it does not take much power to get it moving fast.
@@joshuafallet5690 Yeah there's a handful of cars that can get to 2000lbs or less without exotic materials. There's a reason that most race series have a minimum weight requirement because having less weight makes everything better, easier and cheaper to run.
Easily my favorite G&G video. Seeing the enjoyment on everyone's faces even through a failing transmission and ultimately a blown engine. Just awesome!
I money shifted my turbo 2AR in 2021. Bent some valves. Swapped heads and it’s been going strong ever since. Still on original stock bottom end with 98k miles. Big thanks to Marc for all the work he’s put into that platform
Man, there's a huge difference between the IG comments about this video and the comments under the actual video. Shows you where the real fans are. Good work boys, this ep was a blast to watch!
That was most excellent to watch! What I just watched made me catch the same feelings I had on my very first Trackday on my Yamaha R6... THANS FOR SHARING!
Oh wow, this was an emotional roller coaster! As always your videos are beautifully filmed, edited, and presented. You all did wonderfully, it's such an opportunity to be invited to race anywhere and in any vehicle, but that little car and engine is obviously amazing considering what it is and isn't. Congratulations and commiserations in equal measure, you acquitted yourselves impeccably.
I'll say it again. G&G is my favourite channel on UA-cam. I absolutely love your videos and this is no exception. Looks like am awesome time and Marc is a legend
Frankenstein motorworks are legendary in my eyes for their 2gr swap sw20. That is something i want to build for so long ever since i first saw it on roads untraveled.
@@agaad22 that's nothing special. seen plenty of moneyshifts in my 20 years in time attack/rallying and its much more likely to not blow an engine immediately when money shifting. personally done it twice and both cars survived with no damage.
I love, love, love that you guys actually take your cars out into the track and get seat time in them. Never change that. I think it big separates you from all the other UA-camrs who build a car then it sits on a lift for 2 years.
Heartbreaking finish to an otherwise fantastic weekend, I'm sure... I could not believe how quickly that MR2 was pulling away from the rest of the field. Hope to see it return in another Lemons race again soon! Great video.
Sad for the way the day ended for you guys, but man was this a whopper of an episode. The production is just fantastic, and these guys are great. An extra side note: your choice of music for this episode was SUPERB. Great job!
We had a SVT focus racing in lemons and we spun a rod bearing, so I totally feel your pain about the motor blowing. We also had a MR2 with a Camry motor in it as well, though a 92. That thing was a beast with the 200hp motor, and now has a Avalon motor with an extra 100hp. Lots of fun no matter what your racing!
You guys seemed to be on top of your game throughout the whole race! It's a bummer the car went down, but that aside it was a great episode. Keep em coming
money shifting on the MR2 is semi common due to the way the shift linkage is set up. Make sure the 4 bushings at the bottom of the shifter cage are replaced with aluminum spacers. There's also bushings at the transmission and it helps to change them to brass but they're less significant to this issue.
Lol at around 22:00 ..... feels like we've just walked into a medieval city markets area for the first time in an RPG game whilst we're just casually pumping this deuce round the twisties haha
I was recently part of an endurance race at VIR hosted by ChampCar where we ran our school's 04 SVT Focus. Like you, we had tons of problems all weekend but just barely made it to the end of the race. We were down for 4 hours trying to track down an oil leak, sending the car out for 10 laps at a time to see if there was new oil, and eventually found it to be a brand new gasket leaking. I hope to see you get to do more endurance racing cause it's truly an experience I want to continue having!
Excellent video! Lemons is quite fun, isn't it? Was nice to meet you guys and enjoyed chatting at dinner Friday. Seeing as we blew up our engine too, we'll drop a new drivetrain in the M626 and give ya a better race next time!
That looked like great fun, thank you for the great video as always, got to come back bigger and better next time. Great team effort. even when it broke you were all smilling that got to be what its all about.
Such an amazing documentary! Great filming and editing! Felt the entire Rollercoaster of this story like i was actually right there with you! Great job guys!
I money shifted my Miata every time I went to Pocono's North course. Every. Time. On the easiest part of the track, too. Thankfulky, that car was invincible. Cool video! Lemons looks like so much fun!
Food for thought, that money shift went to over 9k RPM on stock internals, not good, for example, the 1000hp built 2ar papadakis uses in his drift corolla only revs to 8400 on a built head
You got to do a redemption story. Fixing the issues and taking it back on track to shoot for another win in. So close but hey if your not breaking stuff your not pushing the car to the limits.
can you guys build a beams engine car to match speed academy’s beams celica and throttle house’s beams ae86? complete the trilogy and have a great three way track battle video series 😂
I feel your pain. Our team was leading C for quite a while until a punctured oil filter pushed us down. Then we we also lost 4th gear. Well, technically we lost ALL the gears at once. We had about an hour left I think...
I admire your charnel so much. I aspire to create content as you do. Your video serious are just amazing. I truly look up to you guys. Kudos-Juan C missing gears

The fact that you're such a great sport about the whole ordeal is fantastic. Now go and make a t shirt and stickers for us all to buy.
Watched the video then came to the comments and this is the first one i see. I did laugh haha.
That's racing man
Oof big spoiler to be pinned, why did I look😢😢
The video made the your experience feel personal. I think I know what it’s like to do that now.

Hope you all win next time. 🎉
Hey marc, i just wanted to let you know i saw a 2ar swapped mr2 today at cars and coffee in socal running some of your parts! was happy to see that
I could listen to Marc explain anything. He is so articulate and genuine.
I totally agree, the information coming in throughout the whole video was really entertaining
