There is a big bug with germany. If you remiliterize the rhineland and then declare war on the french and loose you become democratic germany, but you can still do the facist focus tree. Which means you can form the eu and get the war goals on the benelux region and france for free. While also being able to care the sudetenland, austria and danzig

for whatever it's worth: air to air radar is ALWAYS worth it in my experience. even freshly deployed air wings can be thrown straight into combat without losing tons of airplanes & once they hit level 2 you do stuff like deploy 3 or 4 air wings pretty much anywhere and be able to hold yellow or green skies. does wonders for interception too. just be careful with who and how many you sell/lend lease them to, from what I could tell an advanced airframe with level 4 engines, heavy machine guns and cannon, radar, self sealing tanks and either internal or drop tanks can do alright against most of the jet's that the AI makes, so you could imagine my confusion why nations like Brazil & Columbia were doing so well in the air only to remember that I'd sold them all my old planes lmao.

In Kaiserreich there’s an Easter Egg Germany Path where if you’re losing the war (over 50% towards capitulation, enemy has more divisions than you) Max Bauer coups the government (you need to go Schleiner). Alternatively if you wanted to make Germany a republic you can go SDP and do the same thing. I’m currently on my 5th try and would love to see someone do it.

Releasing Austria was such a cowardly decision tbh. Those mountains are easily to defend. I played Ragranok twice, it's really not that problematic to defend austria.
You beat the units in combat, and even if units in reserve are ready to move in, you win the battle because the enemy can't bring those reinforcements in fast enough.
