I almost get this bag a while back but got the Luminary 15 instead (which is discontinued now) but sadly it got stolen in a really bad way, story for another time. It was pretty impressive, smaller but more rugged, not as packable but because of the size you could actually manage to pack it. Now my go to packable bag is the Boundary Supply Rennen Ripstop backpack, it's an amazing bag, not just for travel but for EDC use as well. Love it.
If you put a laptop in it, the capacity for big things like a water bottle goes way down because it can't round out anymore. I have the old version with the seatbelt straps so it might be different now.
Awesome review as always. I found your channel a couple of days ago and now I'm hooked. Btw, any reason you guys haven't checked any Crumpler bags yet? They make pretty awesome gear at least here in Australia. Cheers Aaron and team, keep it up!🎉
@@Nomads.Nation Hi Aaron, I've seen this bag review requested earlier but could you review the Swissgear line of backpacks? They're iconic and one of the most common bags, but I've been dying to find out if it really is up to the hype
🔥 Check out my bag on Kickstarter! 👉🏼 go.nomadsnation.com/fyro-t22
I actually like the materials and looks and simplicity. But I'm a sternum strap all the time guy, and that double dangle is... like a sad bow tie.
sad bow tie 😂 love it
Water bottle is a must for a day pack, and seriously great in depth review about specs and how things were done on this bag.
thanks so much!!

love the BS ripstop, great bag
Nice review - believe the slip pockets at the back are designed to hold your hoodie etc to build your own padding!
could be!

thanks for sharing!
I am using the matador carryology edx backpack (version 1) to fulfil my purpose of a travel day pack!
nice! I've heard great things about it
@@Nomads.Nation Aaron, V1 is amazing. Best kept secret for a packable bag.
Since it's a half zip, there are perfect spots on the bags' sides to place 2 external mesh water bottle holders. A big miss there.
it's a very small side panel, I don't think it would work for water bottles, umbrellas maybe though

thanks so much! Crumpler is an iconic brand, just haven't gotten around to them yet, hopefully in 2025 💪
Looking forward to it for sure! Thanks for the great content mate! @@Nomads.Nation

@@SnapScaper I too am curious, hopefully we can put the iconic brand to the test soon!
its like a less nice, less comfortable, less useful but packable GR1
I see your point lol
Please work on different bgm 😭It's a bit monotonous hearing the same track all the time.
this is the first comment we've ever gotten complaining about the music, but if we get more we'll def make some changes!
@@Nomads.NationI find the music fine.
